  • WPF - Dynamically access a specific item of a collection in XAML

    Hi, I have a data source ('SampleAppearanceDefinitions'), which holds a single collection ('Definitions'). Each item in the collection has several properties, including Color, which is what I'm interested in here. I want, in XAML, to display the Color of a particular item in the collection as text. I can do this just fine using this code below... Text="{Binding Source={StaticResource SampleAppearanceDefinitions}, Path=Definitions[0].Color}" The only problem is, this requires me to hard-code the index of the item in the Definitions collection (I've used 0 in the example above). What I want to do in fact is to get that value from a property in my current DataContext ('AppearanceID'). One might imagine the correct code to look like this.... Text="{Binding Source={StaticResource SampleAppearanceDefinitions}, Path=Definitions[{Binding AppearanceID}].Color}" ...but of course, this is wrong. Can anyone tell me what the correct way to do this is? Is it possible in XAML only? It feels like it ought to be, but I can't work out or find how to do it. Any help would be greatly appreciated! But I'd prefer having Product object not product value, because I'd like to use this in views.py for generating list.

  • Ajax div can't access address bar variable

    Can someone please advise me on how my Ajax div can get an address bar variable. The usual way just doesn't work. My address bar currently looks like this: http://localhost/social3/browse/?locationName=Cambridge Usually, I would use a little php and do this: $searchResult = $_POST['locationName']; echo $searchResult; But because I'm in an Ajax div, I can't seem to get to the variable. Do I need to add some JavaScript wizardry to my Ajax coding?   • How to access Sharepoint List Items using an ID

    I am currently working on a nice table that displays the items in a list of "Tasks" on a dispForm page. Each Task is created and initially given a ProjectID depending on which project the task is for. The ProjectID is the actual ID given to the "project" when it is added to the list, therefore it is not actually a parameter in the list of projects while it is a parameter in the list of tasks. I would like to know how to use the ProjectID parameter in the task list to link to the Project list and grab the ProjectName parameter so that I can display the Project Name in the table. Currently I can not get it to work. All help is appreciated, Gale

  • nginx + ssi + remote uri access does not work

    I have a setup where my nginx is in front with apache+PHP behind. My PHP application cache some page in memcache which are accessed by nginx directly except some dynamic part which are build using SSI in Nginx. The first problem I had was nginx didnt try to use memcache for ssi URI. <!--# include virtual="/myuser" --> So I figured that if I force it to use a full URL, it would do it. <!--# include virtual="http://www.example.com/myuser" --> But in logs file (both nginx and apache) I can see that a slash has been added at the beginning of the url http ssi filter "/http://www.example.com/myuser" In the source code of the SSI module I see a PREFIX that seems to be added, but I can really tell if I can disable it. Anybody got this issue? Nginx version : 0.7.62 on Ubuntu Karmic 64bits Thanks a lot

  • Visual SourceSafe (VSS): "Access to file (filename) denied" error

    Hi, can anybody help with the above SourceSafe error? I've spent hours trying to find a fix. I've also Googled the heck out of it but couldn't find a scenario matching mine, because in my case only a few files (not all) are affected. Here's what I found: only a few files in my project generate this error other files in the same directory (for example, App_Code has one of the problem files) work fine I've tried checking out from both the VSS client and Visual Studio another developer can check out the main problem file without any problems This sounds like a permission issue for my user, right? However: I found the location of one of the problem files in VSS's data directory (using VSS's naming format, as in 'fddaaaaa.a') and checked its permissions; everything looks fine and its permissions match those of other files I can check out successfully I can see no differences in the file properties between working and non-working files What else can I check? Has anyone encountered this problem before and found a solution? Thanks. P.S.: SourceGear, svn or git are not options, unfortunately. P.P.S.: Tried unsuccessfully to add tag "sourcesafe." EDIT: Hey Paddy, I tried to click 'add comment' to respond to your comment, but I'm getting a javascript error when loading this page in IE8 ("jquery undefined," etc.) so this isn't working. This is when checking out files, and yes, I've obliterated my local copy more times than I can remember. ;) EDIT 2: Thanks for the responses, guys (again I can't 'add comment' due to jQuery not loading, maybe blocked as discussed in Meta). If the problem was caused by antivirus or a bad disk, would other users still be able to check out the file(s)? That's the case here, which makes me think it's a permission issue specific to my account. However I've looked at the permissions and they match both other users' settings and settings on other files which I can check out.

    I want to be able to check if I can edit a cell in a database with a new object Example method declaration: something.isValid(Object newObject, row, column); Example cases: If the editing cell stores an Number and I give it a String, the method will return false... If the editing cell has to be different than every other entry and the new object is the same as something else, the method will also return false.... My main goal... I want to check a whole row, and if everything is valid, I will edit the whole row. Right now, the only way I can find out if I can actually edit something is by actually editing it and seeing if I get an error.
