  • Using .net Datetime in sql query

    - by Patrick
    I have a DateTime object I want to compare against an sql datetime field in a where clause. I'm currently using: "where (convert( dateTime, '" & datetimeVariable.ToString & "',103) <= DatetimeField)" But I believe datetimeVariable.ToString will return a different value depending on the culture where the system is running. How would you handle this so it is culture independent?

  • Where is the definition of Global_NS in a BizTalk schema?

    - by SteveC
    I'm trying to use a distinguished property but I get an error "Cannot implicitly convert type ... to Global_NS ... " I've googled/bing'ed but I've found only 4 references, none of which help I can't see anywhere that this is set :-( I've been trying to remove the tempuri namespaces from a WCF service and all seemed OK, until I tried to access a distinguished property

  • NHibernate FetchMode.Lazy

    - by RyanFetz
    I have an object which has a property on it that has then has collections which i would like to not load in a couple situations. 98% of the time i want those collections fetched but in the one instance i do not. Here is the code I have... Why does it not set the fetch mode on the properties collections? [DataContract(Name = "ThemingJob", Namespace = "")] [Serializable] public class ThemingJob : ServiceJob { [DataMember] public virtual Query Query { get; set; } [DataMember] public string Results { get; set; } } [DataContract(Name = "Query", Namespace = "")] [Serializable] public class Query : LookupEntity<Query>, DAC.US.Search.Models.IQueryEntity { [DataMember] public string QueryResult { get; set; } private IList<Asset> _Assets = new List<Asset>(); [IgnoreDataMember] [System.Xml.Serialization.XmlIgnore] public IList<Asset> Assets { get { return _Assets; } set { _Assets = value; } } private IList<Theme> _Themes = new List<Theme>(); [IgnoreDataMember] [System.Xml.Serialization.XmlIgnore] public IList<Theme> Themes { get { return _Themes; } set { _Themes = value; } } private IList<Affinity> _Affinity = new List<Affinity>(); [IgnoreDataMember] [System.Xml.Serialization.XmlIgnore] public IList<Affinity> Affinity { get { return _Affinity; } set { _Affinity = value; } } private IList<Word> _Words = new List<Word>(); [IgnoreDataMember] [System.Xml.Serialization.XmlIgnore] public IList<Word> Words { get { return _Words; } set { _Words = value; } } } using (global::NHibernate.ISession session = NHibernateApplication.GetCurrentSession()) { global::NHibernate.ICriteria criteria = session.CreateCriteria(typeof(ThemingJob)); global::NHibernate.ICriteria countCriteria = session.CreateCriteria(typeof(ThemingJob)); criteria.AddOrder(global::NHibernate.Criterion.Order.Desc("Id")); var qc = criteria.CreateCriteria("Query"); qc.SetFetchMode("Assets", global::NHibernate.FetchMode.Lazy); qc.SetFetchMode("Themes", global::NHibernate.FetchMode.Lazy); qc.SetFetchMode("Affinity", global::NHibernate.FetchMode.Lazy); qc.SetFetchMode("Words", global::NHibernate.FetchMode.Lazy); pageIndex = Convert.ToInt32(pageIndex) - 1; // convert to 0 based paging index criteria.SetMaxResults(pageSize); criteria.SetFirstResult(pageIndex * pageSize); countCriteria.SetProjection(global::NHibernate.Criterion.Projections.RowCount()); int totalRecords = (int)countCriteria.List()[0]; return criteria.List<ThemingJob>().ToPagedList<ThemingJob>(pageIndex, pageSize, totalRecords); }

  • Blob object not working properly even though the class is seralized

    - by GustlyWind
    I have class which is seralized and does convert a very large amount of data object to blob to save it to database.In the same class there is decode method to convert blob to the actual object.Following is the code for encode and decode of the object. private byte[] encode(ScheduledReport schedSTDReport) { byte[] bytes = null; try { ByteArrayOutputStream bos = new ByteArrayOutputStream(); ObjectOutputStream oos = new ObjectOutputStream(bos); oos.writeObject(schedSTDReport); oos.flush(); oos.close(); bos.close(); //byte [] data = bos.toByteArray(); //ByteArrayOutputStream baos = new ByteArrayOutputStream(); //GZIPOutputStream out = new GZIPOutputStream(baos); //XMLEncoder encoder = new XMLEncoder(out); //encoder.writeObject(schedSTDReport); //encoder.close(); bytes = bos.toByteArray(); //GZIPOutputStream out = new GZIPOutputStream(bos); //out.write(bytes); //bytes = bos.toByteArray(); } catch (Exception e) { _log.error("Exception caught while encoding/zipping Scheduled STDReport", e); } decode(bytes); return bytes; } /* * Decode the report definition blob back to the * ScheduledReport object. */ private ScheduledReport decode(byte[] bytes) { ByteArrayInputStream bais = new ByteArrayInputStream(bytes); ScheduledReport sSTDR = null; try { ObjectInputStream ois = new ObjectInputStream(bais); //GZIPInputStream in = new GZIPInputStream(bais); //XMLDecoder decoder = new XMLDecoder(in); sSTDR = (ScheduledReport)ois.readObject();//decoder.readObject(); //decoder.close(); } catch (Exception e) { _log.error("IOException caught while decoding/unzipping Scheduled STDReport", e); } return sSTDR; } The problem here is whenver I change something else in this class means any other method,a new class version is created and so the new version the class is unable to decode the originally encoded blob object. The object which I am passing for encode is also seralized object but this problem exists. Any ideas thanks

  • Converting non-generic List type to Generic List type in Java 1.5

    - by Shaun F
    I have a List that is guaranteed to contain just one type object. This is created by some underlying code in a library that I cannot update. I want to create a List<ObjectType> based on the incoming List object so that my calling code is talking to List<ObjectType>. What's the best way to convert the List (or any other object collection) to a List<ObjectType>.

  • creating a .sh file programmatically under windows and running it on a linux system from cygwin

    - by user1296193
    i want to write program, in windows, which will write a .sh file, then connect to a linux machine via cygwin and ssh, and execute that .sh file. I've had to use dos2unix to convert .sh files that I created in windows to run under linux. Obviously if I am executing a script with ssh it will have to be linux formatted to work. so I need to know how to create a linux appropriate .sh file using c or openoffice basic or vBA. thanks!

  • GAE Datastore: persisting referenced objects

    - by David
    Two "I'm sorries" to begin with: 1) I've looked for a solution (here, and elsewhere), and couldn't find the answer. 2) English is not my mother tongue, so I may have some typos and the sort - please ignore them. To the point: I am trying to persist Java objects to the GAE datastore. I am not sure as to how to persist object having ("non-trivial") referenced object. That is, assume I have the following. public class Father { String name; int age; Vector<Child> offsprings; //this is what I call "non-trivial" reference //ctor, getters, setters... } public class Child { String name; int age; Father father; //this is what I call "non-trivial" reference //ctor, getters, setters... } The name field is unique in each type domain, and is considered a Primary-Key. In order to persist the "trivial" (String, int) fields, all I need is to add the correct annotation. So far so good. However, I don't understand how should I persist the home-brewed (Child, Father) types referenced. Should I: Convert each such reference to hold the Primary-Key (a name String, in this example) instead of the "actual" object. So, Vector<Child> offsprings; becomes Vector<String> offspringsNames; ? If that is the case, how do I handle the object at run-time? Do I just query for the Primary-Key from Class.getName, to retrieve the refrenced objects? Convert each such reference to hold the actual Key provided to me by the Datastore upon the proper put() operation? So, Vector<Child> offsprings; becomes Vector<Key> offspringsHashKeys; ? I would very much appreciate all kinds of comments. I have read ALL the offical relevant GAE docs/example. Throughout, they always persist "trivial" references, natively supported by the Datastore (e.g. in the Guestbook example, only Strings, and Longs). Many thanks, David

    - by R.Vijayakumar
    Problem with passing arraycollection to Advance datagrid. My Arraycollection structure like `   private var groupList:ArrayCollection = new ArrayCollection([ {Country:'India', children:[ {Country:'Series1', children:[                                {Matches:'India Test series 1',isEnable:false,id:1,isSelected:true},                                {Matches:'India Test series 2',isEnable:false,id:2,isSelected:true},                                {Matches:'India Test series 3',isEnable:false,id:3,isSelected:true}]},              {Country:'Series2', children:[                                {Matches:'Australia Test series 1',isEnable:false,id:25,isSelected:true},                                {Matches:'Australia Test series 2',isEnable:false,id:26,isSelected:true},                                {Matches:'Australia Test series 3',isEnable:false,id:27,isSelected:true}]} ]}, {Country:'Austrila', children:[ {Country:'Series1', children:[                                {Matches:'Australia Test series 1',isEnable:false,id:46,isSelected:true},                                {Matches:'Australia Test series 2',isEnable:false,id:47,isSelected:true},                                {Matches:'Australia Test series 3',isEnable:false,id:48,isSelected:true}]}, {Country:'Series2', children:[                                {Matches:'Australia Test series 1',isEnable:false,id:49,isSelected:true},                                {Matches:'Australia Test series 2',isEnable:false,id:50,isSelected:true},                                {Matches:'Australia Test series 3',isEnable:false,id:51,isSelected:true}]}, {Country:'Series3', children:[                                {Matches:'Australia Test series 1',isEnable:false,id:52,isSelected:true},                                {Matches:'Australia Test series 2',isEnable:false,id:53,isSelected:true},                                {Matches:'Australia Test series 3',isEnable:false,id:54,isSelected:true}]} ]} passing AD in dataProvider="{new HierarchicalData(groupList)}" It's working fine. it's show two menu of tree and childrens based on country .But i tried dynamic xml convert to Arraycollection by below code private function convertXmlToArrayCollection( file:String ):ArrayCollection { var xml:XMLDocument = new XMLDocument( file ); //var decoder:SimpleXMLDecoder = new SimpleXMLDecoder(); var decoder1:SimpleXMLDecoder = new SimpleXMLDecoder(true); var data1:Object = decoder1.decodeXML( xml ); var array1:Array = ArrayUtil.toArray(data1); return new ArrayCollection( array1 ); } my xml structure is <Country Country="India "> <Country Country="Series "> <Matches Matches="BIndependiente-Colon" id="701536" isEnable="false" isSelected="true" startDate="2009-10-29 01:30:00" EndDate="2009-10-29 01:30:00"/> <Matches Matches="Boca Juniors-Chacarita Juniors" id="701633" isEnable="false" isSelected="true" startDate="2009-10-29 19:00:00" EndDate=""/> </Country> </Country> <Country Country="Australia"> <Country Country="series"> <Matches Matches="BIndependiente-Colon" id="701536" isEnable="false" isSelected="true" startDate="2009-10-29 01:30:00" EndDate="2009-10-29 01:30:00"/> <Matches Matches="Boca Juniors-Chacarita Juniors" id="701633" isEnable="false" isSelected="true" startDate="2009-10-29 19:00:00" EndDate=""/> </Country> </Country> So if i tried to convert this format of xml code to arryacollection , it converted the array collection but when will i pass to Advance data grid it not show any result . What did i wrong ? groupList1= convertXmlToArrayCollection(string1); Alert.show(groupList1[0].Country[0].Matches[0].id.toString());// output is =701536 Where did i mistake it ? Plz kindly any one refer me , What will i changed ?

  • Including FFMPEG with a Java application on Mac

    - by James Skidmore
    I'm writing a Java program that will be used on both Windows and Mac. In the program, I'm using FFMPEG to convert a MOV file to an FLV. On Windows, it's no problem -- simply call the command. But on Mac, I'm not quite sure what to do. Does the user really have to install FFMPEG on their machine, or can it somehow be included in the Java application? Thanks for any help/guidance!

  • jQuery plugin to put a twitter feed on my site

    - by Horace Loeb
    I want to put the first n entries from my twitter feed on my blog with the usual enhancements: Convert URLs to real links Remove @ replies I realize this wouldn't be too difficult to code from scratch with $.getJSON, but since this sort of thing is so common, I was wondering if there was a neat plugin that would handle everything for me.

    Hi, I'm trying to insert a flv video in a latex document. I've tried the following : \begin{figure}[h!] \centering \includegraphics[scale=1]{animation/animation1.flv} \caption{My animation} \label{Anim1} \end{figure} But it's not working at all ! Does anyone know how to do this ? I would avoid to convert the video because I don't know what kind of codec the reader would have.

  • How to store (and use) the current mouse position?

    - by Ben Packard
    What is the best way to store the current mouse position (system-wide) and then (later) put the mouse at that stored point? [NSEvent mouseLocation] gets me the position, and I can move the mouse with a CGEventMouseMoved, but they each use a different co-ordinates system (I believe y=0 is the top for NSEvent and the bottom for a CGEvent). I'm worried about the robustness of capturing the screen height and using it to convert between the two - or is this the best approach?

  • SQLite long to wide formats?

    Hi, I wonder if there is a canonical way to convert data from long to wide format in SQLite (is that operation usually in the domain of relational databases?). I tried to follow this example for MySQL but I guess SQLite does not have the same IF construct... Thanks!
