    Hi, I'm using the will paginate gem from http://github.com/mislav/will_paginate Routes: map.resources :post do |post| post.resources :comments end Post Controller: @post = Post.first @comments = @post.comments.paginate :page => params[:page], :per_page => 10 My problem lies in the view: <%= will_paginate @comments %> This generates links like /post/1?page=1 What I need is /post/1/comments?page=1 Is there a way to just tell will_paginate what url helper to use? (like post_comments_path) Any ideas?

  • Puppet variables best practice, generalise or specialise?

    I'm trying to figure out which things should be in git within the puppet manifest and which should be in env vars like FACTER_my_var and use that in the manifest instead. Scenario: you are deploying 3 php apps and you've already built all the layers up to the app in other manifests (base system, php extensions, users, etc), and all that's left is installing the correct app (from an apt repo) and creating a vhost. I'm tempted to have something along the lines of: apache::vhost { $::project_hostname: priority => '10', port => '80', docroot => $::project_document_root, logroot => "/var/log/apache2/${$::project_name}", serveradmin => '[email protected]', require => Package[httpd], ssl => false, override => 'all', setenv => ["APP_KERNEL dev"] } This would run on each server, and the FACTER_project_* vars would be set on a per server basis. An obvious restriction of this would be that you can't run more than one app with this specific example. Or would you rather have project_x.pp, project_y.pp which have hardcoded paths and names?

  • how to remove background layer of djvu file

    Hello, I've downloaded some files from the Internet Archive. They come in different file formats and most of the time I use pdf. However, sometimes the scans are saves in colour instead of b/w. This makes it difficult/impossible to read on a dedicated ebook reader. In that case I downloaded the djvu files as on the PC you can select which layer (color, bw,fore,back) one would like to see. Selecting the bw gives excellent results. However, the ebook reader does not has this option. The question is, how can I remove /extract a layer from the djvu file and save only this layer. So far I've tried the following two approaches: 1) select bw in the djvu viewer on the PC and printed to postscript file. Followed by a ps2pdf conversion. This works, but generates a fairly large pdf file. Sure, I can again upload it to any2djvu but it just seems to much manual work for each file. 2) I tried the shared annotation feature and said (mode bw). This works on the PC as desired but is ignored on the ebook reader as the other layers are still present. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I dont want to serve up an entire map of images - just for the times when google has no image does the tile layer base dispatch an event?     Hello all! I have an application consisting of two windows, one communicates to the other and sends it a struct constaining two integers (In this case two rolls of a dice). I will be using events for the following circumstances: Process a sends data to process b, process b displays data Process a closes, in turn closing process b Process b closes a, in turn closing process a I have noticed that if the second process is constantly waiting for the first process to send data then the program will be just sat waiting, which is where the idea of implementing threads on each process occurred and I have started to implement this already. The problem i'm having is that I don't exactly have a lot of experience with threads and events so I'm not sure of the best way to actually implement what I want to do.     My table structure is as follows: Person 1-M PesonAddress Person 1-M PesonPhone Person 1-M PesonEmail Person 1-M Contract Contract M-M Program Contract M-1 Organization At the end of this query I need a populated object graph where each person has their: PesonAddress's PesonPhone's PesonEmail's PesonPhone's Contract's - and this has its respective Program's Now I had the following query and I thought that it was working great, but it has a couple of problems: from people in ctx.People.Include("PersonAddress") .Include("PersonLandline") .Include("PersonMobile") .Include("PersonEmail") .Include("Contract") .Include("Contract.Program") where people.Contract.Any( contract => (param.OrganizationId == contract.OrganizationId) && contract.Program.Any( contractProgram => (param.ProgramId == contractProgram.ProgramId))) select people; The problem is that it filters the person to the criteria but not the Contracts or the Contract's Programs. It brings back all Contracts that each person has not just the ones that have an OrganizationId of x and the same goes for each of those Contract's Programs respectively. What I want is only the people that have at least one contract with an OrgId of x with and where that contract has a Program with the Id of y... and for the object graph that is returned to have only the contracts that match and programs within that contract that match. I kinda understand why its not working, but I don't know how to change it so it is working... Keeping in mind that I am trying to do this as a compiled query so I think that means anonymous types are out.

  • ext3: maximum recommended partition size / handling large partitions

    Hi! I would like to do an encrypted install of Ubuntu on a 2 Terabyte drive (i.e., using LUKS/DMcrypt). In order to not have to type in passwords too often, the partitioning scheme will be 50 GB for / and about 1 TB for /home (and the rest for Windows 7), just for clarity. Even though by now LVM is regarded as being stable, I don't want to bother having more room for errors by introducing unnecessary layers of complexity. For both Ubuntu partitions I want encrypted ext3 with the default blocksize of ext3 (4k?). Thoughts: When I look at most partition schemes here on this site or elsewhere, I usually see at most about 400 or 500 GB partitions (maybe I didn't see enough). There may be different reasons for this, but is reliability an issue here? Are larger ext3 partitions, like about 1 TB, harder to handle for the OS or filesystem driver or at some other level? If I make the partition too large, will it be harder to repair in case of corruptions? Are there some default settings for ext3 that I should change for 1 TB partitions? Question: What maximum partition size for ext3 do you recommend and why? Thanks!

    In my routes.rb I have this: map.namespace :admin do |admin| admin.resources :galleries do |galleries| galleries.resources :gallery_images, :as=>'images' end end rake routes shows the route created like this: admin_gallery GET /admin/galleries/:id and when I go to this url in my browser: http://192.168.2.2:3000/admin/galleries/11/ I get this error: Unknown action No action responded to 11 But I would have expected it to use the show action/view, what am I doing wrong?

  • Debugging a basic OpenGL texture fail? (iphone)

    Hey all, I have a very basic texture map problem in GL on iPhone, and I'm wondering what strategies there are for debugging this kind of thing. (Frankly, just staring at state machine calls and wondering if any of them is wrong or misordered is no way to live-- are there tools for this?) I have a 512x512 PNG file that I'm loading up from disk (not specially packed), creating a CGBitmapContext, then calling CGContextDrawImage to get bytes out of it. (This code is essentially stolen from an Apple sample.) I see no debug output from the CG calls to set up the texture. glGetError reports nothing. If I simplify this code block to just draw the verts, but set up a pure color, the quad area lights up exactly as expected. If I clear the whole context immediately beforehand to red, I don't see the red-- which means something is being rendered there, but not the contents of my PNG. What could I be doing wrong? And more importantly, what are the right tools and techniques for debugging this sort of thing, because running into this kind of problem and not being able to "step through it" in a debugger in any meaningful way is a bummer.   • How to develop a Jquery plugin to find the first child that match with a selector?

    I'm trying to make a Jquery plugin (findFirst()) to find the first child with a given characteristics (something in the middle of the find() and children() functions. For instance, given this markup: <div id="start"> <div> <span>Hello world</span> <ul class="valid-result"> ... </ul> <ul class="valid-result"> <li> <ul class="not-a-result"> ... </ul> </li> </ul> <div> <ul class="valid-result"> ... </ul> </div> </div> </div> If you ask for $("#start").findFirst('ul') it should return all ul lists that I have tagged with the valid-result class, but not the ul with class not-a-result. It is, this function has to find the first elements that matches with a given selector, but not the inner elements that match this selector. This is the first time I try to code a Jquery function, and what I've already read doesn't helps me too much with this. The function I have developed is this: jQuery.fn.findFirst = function (sel) { return this.map(function() { return $(this).children().map(function() { if ($(this).is(sel)) { return $(this); } else { return $(this).findFirst(sel); } }); }); } It works in the sense it tries to return the expected result, but the format it returns the result is very rare for me. I suppose the problem is something I don't understand about Jquery. Here you have the JFiddle where I'm testing. EDIT The expected result after $("#start").findFirst('ul') is a set with all UL that have the class 'valid-result' BUT it's not possible to use this class because it doesn't exist in a real case (it's just to try to explain the result). This is not equivalent to first(), because first returns only one element!

  • Getting "uninitialized constant" in Rails app

I moved some constants to a separate module ie: module Fns Fclick = "function() { alert(\"You clicked the map.\");}\n" ... end then in my controller added: require "fns" class GeomapController < ApplicationController def index fstring = Fns::Fclick ... end but when I run the server I get: uninitialized constant Fns::Fclick what am I missing?
