  • Generating n statements from context-free grammars

    - by Dervin Thunk
Hello, So not to reinvent the wheel, I would like to know what has already been done about generating random statements from a context-free language (like those produced by yacc, etc.). These grammars are primarily for parsing, but maybe someone has done some generation for testing the parsers? Thanks

  • Android: GPS fallback from fine to coarse

    - by Eamorr
Greetings, Does anyone know how I can get coarse GPS coordinates when I don't have a fix and get fine GPS coordinates when I have a fix? I've tried googling for some sample code to no avail. I did find this: http://www.android10.org/index.php/articleslocationmaps/226-android-location-providers-gps-network-passive But I don't know how to implement the fallback to coarse/upgrade to fine. I hope someone can help. Thanks in advance,

  • Trying to add functionality to MvcHandler

    - by Alexandre Brisebois
    I am currently trying to add 301 redirect to my routes in MVC to do this I have tried to inherit from the MvcHandler. The handler gets instantited with the right values. but I am never able to debug the overridden methods. can someone show me a working attempt at this? the asp.net pipe simply seems to the doing its own thing... public class CodeHttpHandler : MvcHandler { public CodeHttpHandler(RequestContext p_requestContext) : base(p_requestContext) { } protected override void ProcessRequest(HttpContext p_httpContext) { } protected override void ProcessRequest(HttpContextBase p_httpContext) { } }

  • Pre-Compiled Header Design Question

    - by ML
Hi All, I have code that uses a pre-compiled header. (previously done by someone else) In it, they are including several .h files. If I have classes that use common .h files that are not currently in the existing pre-compiled header, would tossing them in there be of any real benefit? Maybe compilation speed, but I was thinking it would clean up the classes/headers a bit too? What are do's and don't with pre-compiled headers?

  • How to group a database write and spreadsheet write in single "transaction"

    - by WhyGeeEx
I have a Java program that writes results to both a DB (SQL Server) and a spreadsheet (POI), and it would be best if neither is written to if there's an error with either. It would be a lot worse if the spreadsheet was produced and then an error happened while saving to the DB, so I'm doing the DB-write first. Even so, I'm wondering if someone knows of a way to guarantee they both succeed or fail as a unit. Thanks!

  • what's the right way to bind sqldatasource to asp:label in asp.net 4.0?

    - by cskilbeck
Is it possible using Eval? If so, can someone post a short fragment to illustrate? My SqlDataSource returns 1 record with 3 fields, I'd like to Format these into a string. eg: Record Field 'Name' = 'Jack' Field 'Amount' = 100 Field 'Date' = 12.02.2010 asp:Label text should end up being: Welcome Jack, last payment was 100 on 12.02.2010 if another control than asp:Label is appropriate, that would be good to know also.

  • Are functions declared before or after calling them?

    - by DMan
I've made this a community wiki... Okay, I was looking through someone's code one day and I was annoyed how they declared all their functions first and then later called them below. I guess I'm use to Visual Studio's automatically generated functions, that are made after you call them- and I was wondering, which way do you prefer? Or is there a standard on these kind of things?

  • What exactly can concrete domains be used to describe?

    - by Exander
I have read the formal definition of a "concrete domain", but I still don't quite get it. Could someone explain it to me in simpler terms, preferably with some examples? The definition is available in Reasoning in Description Logics with a Concrete Domain in the Framework of Resolution by Ullrich Hustadt, Boris Motik, Ulrike Sattler. Page 1, Definition 1.
