• Closing a window when it's "no longer needed".

  This is kind of a hard question to describe, and I've searched for about an hour now to no avail. Essentially, picture a small 'flyout' window like the Windows 7 Wireless Control or the Volume Slider from the system tray(notification area). When you click on the icon, the application pops up with focus, and if you click off of it, the window destroys itself. I thought it woudl be easily solved by simply having my window destroy it self when it loses focus (I've been listening for WM_KILLFOCUS), but the problem is, if the icon is clicked, my window does not always get focus. Since this isn't the case, if the user clicks my icon, and then clicks away because it was a mistake (on the desktop say), then how can I set my app to close? I've tried messing with SPY++ but checking the volume control / wireless control apps are proving difficult as they disappear when I try to get their window/process handles. Thanks!

I am wondering about the following questions: Is it true that when these peripheral devices are plugged onto the computer, the addresses(port numbers) of their control registers are thus determined by how they are attached to the address bus (i.e. the hard-wiring rules, not any soft things)? Who makes the scheme of the port number assignment? If I was given a naked computer(with no operating system and with many peripheral devices), how could I figure out the port number assignment so I can use them to control peripheral deveices.   Hey, I recently am working on an projekt that uses the "SQL Server Driver for PHP", i wanted to upgrade the existing driver to the new version (2.0), because I need some of the functions that have been implemented there. Now i replaced the old .dll in the php/ext directory and restarted the webserver. But now i recieve the following error: Fatal error: Call to undefined function sqlsrv_connect() in E:\ProjekteExtern\hades_apl\classes\sql\sqlsrv.class.php on line 34 But if i run phpinfo();, sqlsrv shows up, in the same way as the previous version did. Does anybody know this error or has an idea how to solve this problem? Thanks in advance :) Gushiken

  Hi guys, I have these two domains Car and Driver which have many-to-many relationship. This association is defined in table tblCarsDrivers which has, not surprisingly, primary keys of both the tables BUT additionally also has a new boolean field deleted. Herein lies the problem. When I find/get query on domain Car, I am fetched all related drivers irrespective of their deleted status in tblCarsDrivers, which is expected. I need to put a clause/constraint to exclude the deleted drivers from the list of fetched records. PS: I tried using an association domain CarDriver in joinTable name but that seems not to work. Apparently it expects only table names, not maps. PPS: I know its unnatural to have any other fields besides the mapping keys in mapping table but this is how I got it and it cant be changed. • SQL server connection trouble in network but not in local

  for the first time that I would work with SQL SERVER 2005, the jdbc connection doesn't work in the network I searched and have done thousand of things that doesn't work, i also want to precise that i already had worked with other DBMS, so here is the problem: when i try to connect by jdbc from the machine where sql server is installed everything work just fine, but when i try from a different machine, the jdbc is unable to create the connection, i already checked that TCP/IP communication is enabled that the port (not dynamically assigned) is 1433 and i even tried with different ports, i also tried with the same driver and different driver, i checked that i was able to communicate with the http server (who is installed in the machine where SQL server is installed) and it works but that jdbc connection can't, i tried thousand of things until i forgot some of them, someone please help

  I have the following issue with Selenium Webdriver. There are two dropdown menus on a page i am testing "brand" and "items". The options of "items" depend on which brand you choose. I am trying to iterate through all possible choices and print brand-item pairs. I use two possible ways to pick an option from each dropdown menu Using Select(): def retryingSelectOption(name,n): result=False attempts=0 while attempts<5: try: element=Select(driver.find_element_by_name(name)) element.select_by_index(n) print element.all_selected_options[0].text result=True break except StaleElementReferenceException: pass attempts+=1 return result And using .click(): def retryingClickOption(name,n): result=False attempts=0 while attempts<5: try: driver.find_element_by_name(name).find_elements_by_tag_name("option")[n].click() result=True break except StaleElementReferenceException: pass attempts+=1 return result My problem is that at ,what seem to me as random moments (sometimes it works sometimes it does not), even though the above functions return True and printing out the selected option shows me the correct answer, the browser still displays the previous option. So basically Selenium tells me i have picked the right option but the browser displays the previous one.No idea what is wrong.

  I'm designing a system for mobile devices that can be assigned only to one job at a time. So I need to be able to know which mobile device is being used by accessing it's own unique static IP address or its device ID. I don't want to assign an ID myself for every machine that comes in which is why a static IP would work great. However, in trying to retrieve the client ip address I'm retrieving the wireless router's ip or some other ip which is not the mobile device's ip. I want to store that ip in a table and control which jobs are assigned to it. How can I accomplish this? I've tried the following but I'm getting the wireless ip: var hostEntry = Dns.GetHostEntry(Dns.GetHostName()); var ip = ( from addr in hostEntry.AddressList where addr.AddressFamily.ToString() == "InterNetwork" select addr.ToString() ).FirstOrDefault(); I'd rather not set a cookie if there exists a better alternative. • samsung galaxy tab 4 not recognized by eclipse

  the just released samsung galaxy tab 4 tablet does bring up the 'autoplay' box with device options when connected, but is not being recognized by eclipse, nothing shows in the device window. I have enabled debugging on the galaxy tab, including tapping the 'about' box 7 times to make the developer options magically appear. it runs kitkat and the Samsung site has a 'no data available' under the driver tab for this device. since it just came out at target last week it's unlikely there would be a new driver anyway, which has been the usual suggestion for this question on older models.

In JavaSE i would do the following: Class.forName("com.mysql.jdbc.Driver"); Connection dbConnection = DriverManager.getConnection(URL, USER, PASSWORD); I read that I can't do this in Android because there is not a JDBC Driver (there is a "SQLite.JDBCDriver" but it is not documented and not recommended). So which is the easiest way? I asked to Google but it looks like he either doesn't know.

• How to handle this "session failed to write file" error in PHP?

  I am using the Kohana 3 framework, and am using the native session driver. For some reason, occasionally the sessions fail to write to their file. Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: open(/tmp/sess_*****, O_RDWR) failed: Permission denied (13) in /home/site/public_html/system/classes/kohana/session/native.php on line 27 I am pretty sure Kohana has its own in built error handler, but it is not triggered with this error (i.e. it shows up like a normal PHP error, not the Kohana error). Anyone that has ever used Kohana will notice this seems to have bypassed Kohana's error handling (perhaps set with set_error_handler()). Is there anyway to stop this error from appearing without switching from the native session (i.e. file based) driver? Should I just give good practice the boot and append an @ error suppressor to session_start() in the core code of Kohana? Should I relax the error_reporting()? Thanks

• Detecting metadata-only read requests in windows filesystem

  Hello, I'm developing a kind of filesystem driver. All of read requests that windows makes to my filesystem goes by the driver implementation. I would like to distinguish between "normal" read requests and those who want to get only the metadata from the file. ( Windows reads first 4K of the file and then stop reading ). Does Windows mark this metadata reads in some way? It would be very useful in order to treat that two kind of operations in a different way. In a typical CreateFile call, we have AccessMode, ShareMode, CreationDisposition and FlagsAndAttributes parameters ( being DWORD ), i'm not sure if it's possible to extract some clue of the operation requested. • Oracle Hibernate with in Netbean RCP

  All, i have a problem with hibernate using netbean platform 6.8, i have been search around internet, but cannot found the suitable answer This is my story. i am using oracle database as data source of my hibernate entity with ojdbc14.jar driver. First i create hibernate entity tobe wrapped latter in a netbeans module, i tested the hibernate connection configuration and everything just works well. i can connect to oracle database successfuly, every hibernate query works well. Then i wrapped that hibernate entity jar as a netbeans module, create another module to warp my ojdbc14.jar then i test it. and, im using hibernate library dependency that available on netbean platform (netbean 6.8), but unfutornatelly i got oracle sql error saying “no suitable driver for [connection url]” when running the project. thats quite weird since it doesn’t happend when I test it before with out netbean platform. i thought that is related to netbeans lazy loading issue, i am not sure,. any idea ? tq for help
