  • How do I add a loading indicator to my page while my iframe loads?

    I am currently creating a page where upon clicking a link an iframe is inserted into a div and it's contents loaded. I do this using the following jQuery call: $('#mydiv').html('<iframe src="sourcelink.html" frameborder="0" width="760" height="2400" scrolling="no"></iframe>'); Sometimes the source content loads very slowly and, as a result, it looks like nothing is happening. I would like to have a simple loading animation while the content is loading while the iframe's content loads. When the iframe finishes loading it's content should pop in and the loading animation should go away. I've been considering a couple ways I could do this (e.g. having a separate loader div to simply swap the two in and out) but I'm not sure of what the 'best' approach to solving this problem is. Perhaps I shouldn't be using .html()? I'm open to suggestion if there is a more correct solution.

I want to use ajax so that whenever a person clicks on a link in the navigation div, the contents of that page renders in the content div without a refresh.     First: No, none of the content should be loaded from the web. All content parts are shipped with the main bundle. I have n images and mass of text (including lists). Instead of building all view parts programmatically in objective-c if was thinking of using an UIWebView and build "only" the HTML dynamically. Does anything speaks against it?   • Overlaying one div over another, but not knowing the size of the div

    I'm trying to lay one div over another. This is really simple if you know the dimensions of the div. Solved here: How to overlay one div over another div So, here is my HTML: <div class="container"> <div class="overlay"></div> <div class="content"></div> </div> In my case, I don't know the exact dimensions of the "content" or "container" div. This is because I don't have control over any of the content in the div (we are making our app extensible for 3rd party developers). See my example on jsFiddle The overlay should cover the content entirely. Width 100% and Height 100%. However, this does not work because in my example I positioned the overlay absolutely. One solution is to use JavaScript to get the size of the content div and then set the size of the overlay. I don't like this solution much since if image sizes are not specified, you need to wait until images are loaded and recalculate the size of the div. Is there any way of solving this problem in CSS?

I need it to be stored in the application storage so we can reference the content once downloaded. I know it's possible to download content as referenced in this question: Download Content using Air For Android but can a person download the entire folder and again store it in the application directory?   • Search server 2008 express working with WSS 3.0 (error when crawl second web application (website) s

    My search server 2008 express crawls 3 sharepoint servers and 1 windows file server. The file server and 2 other sharepoint server crawl all content and master and sub sites just fine. On the 3rd sharepoint server the default site crawl just fine...The second web application site (content database) crawls the top site and crawls all sub sites BUT The subsites get the below error in the crawl log. Deleted by the gatherer (The start address or content source that contained this item was deleted and hence this item was deleted.) I have checked the security rights (OK) I have checked the setting to crawl a SharePoint site (if wrong the top site would not work)... ???? Last part = I can crawl 3 other sharepoint sites (web applications/other content databases) on the same server...It seems to be just this one site...

    I am looking for suitable replacement code that allows me replace the content inside of any HTML tag that has a certain class e.g. $class = "blah"; $content = "new content"; $html = '<div class="blah">hello world</div>'; // code to replace, $html now looks like: // <div class="blah">new content</div> Bare in mind that: It wont necessarily be a div, it could be <h2 class="blah"> The class can have more than one class and still needs to be replaced e.g. <div class="foo blah green">hello world</div> I am thinking regular expressions should be able to do this, if not I am open to other suggestions such as using the DOM class (although I would rather avoid this if possible because it has to be PHP4 compatible).

  • Prism: How to render one view on top of another

    We have a Prism/WPF application and are using an expander to animate a menu. When the expander expands, the content is rendered behind the main region's content. The menu is in a different region than the content it is supposed to overlay (since the menu governs what items go into that region) which is why this is occurring. We have tried setting the Z-Index of the ContentControls to no avail.

    Hi, I'm wondering, is it possible to collect the height of a specific div container from a separate page with JavaScript? I'm using jQuery btw and I'm in need of comparing heights of div containers. Edit: To clarify a bit more, I load content from a specific div in a separate page using jQuery. This content is faded into a different container with dynamic height. But in the small fraction of time before the content arrives, it shrinks down to it's min-height. What I've done so far is collecting the height of the container before and after the load. But it only works after I've loaded content once. Because I don't have the height before it's been loaded the first time.

I would like to get rid of this and move footer to the bottom of the window. On the other hand when there is more content, I want the content to push the footer down (so position: fixed; bottom: 0; won't do). How do I achieve this?

I'd like it to apply to both [img] and [IMG].     Hi, I'm having a bit of trouble exporting a csv file that is created from one of my mysql tables using php. The code I'm using prints the correct data, but I can't see how to download this data in a csv file, providing a download link to the created file. I thought the browser was supposed to automatically provide the file for download, but it doesn't. (Could it be because the below code is called using ajax?)     I just upgraded from rails 2.3.5 to rails 2.3.8, but now my redirects are not working properly. I get the following as the response HTTP Headers: HTTP/1.1 302 Moved Temporarily Date: Wed, 02 Jun 2010 09:40:39 GMT Content-Length: 93 Content-Type: text/html whereas I got previous: HTTP/1.1 302 Moved Temporarily Connection: close Date: Wed, 02 Jun 2010 09:41:18 GMT Set-Cookie: _session_id=<correct id>; path=/ Status: 302 Found Location: <correct url> Cache-Control: no-cache Server: Mongrel 1.1.5 Content-Type: text/html; charset=utf-8 Content-Length: 93 Anyone knows how to fix this? Despite the fact that the redirect is not working, the login-cookie is not set too (but I think, this is both related somehow). I have already tried to override redirect_to in order to set response.headers['Location'] etc., but they did not appear in the response.

  • Need help making a div appear on the bottom of the screen while the rest of the divs scroll

    It's hard to describe my specific problem without just showing you the HTML code. The HTML source can be seen easily from clicking "View Source" while seeing the page http://techdot.us/projects/jeopardy/view.php. The CSS is located here: http://techdot.us/projects/jeopardy/style/gameStyle.css. My main goal is to have the main content table rows/columns appear on the majority of the screen (everything except 69px, to be exact). So, the bottom 69px contains an informational panel that is supposed to stay on the bottom of the screen, even when the user scrolls down the page. Scrolling is supposed to, in theory, trigger the majority of the content to go down the page normally, except the bottom bar which stays static. I have achieved this effect on the website. However, there is a big problem. On smaller screens (as you can simulate by resizing the window), some of the main table gets cut off. It seems that my CSS solution is a botch, and, in effect, does not accomplish my main goal. The bottom bar should not cut off part of the table from the main content div (gameTable), but the main content div should display all of its content in a scrollable fashion. My CSS at the moment works as long as the viewer's screen is a certain pixel height. This is definitely not permanent. Thank you SO much for the help. I really appreciate it and totally understand that I'm being a total pain by just throwing down tons of CSS and HTML code to edit.
