But there're so many links there, I must click them one by one. Is there any method to click once, all of them excutes? • Using resource values as layout attributes (config.xml)

  Looking in the android sdk folders, I've found a file called values/config.xml. This seems to be somewhere that you can define values for later use in layouts and animations. Given the config.xml: <resources> <string name="config_somePadding">50dip</string> </resources> How would I reference this to use as the layout_height in a layout xml file? @string/config_somePadding is actually the only one I've found that doesn't throw an error in Eclipse (even though there isn't a config_somePadding in values/strings.xml), but it appears to just put an empty string. In the sdk, they use an integer for animation duration. They reference it like this: android:duration="@android:integer/config_longAnimTime". Is there a way to use values that aren't integers in the layout_height attribute?

  I'm trying to loop trough Atom feed entries, and get the title attribute lets say, I found this article, I tried this snipped of code : for (final Iterator iter = feeds.getEntries.iterator(); iter.hasNext(); ) { element = (Element)iter.next(); key = element.getAttributeValue("href"); if ((key != null) && (key.length() > 0)) { marks.put(key, key); } } But I get exception saying : java.lang.ClassCastException: com.sun.syndication.feed.synd.SyndEntryImpl cannot be cast to org.jdom.Element at com.emir.altantbh.FeedReader.main(FeedReader.java:47) What did I do wrong? can anyone direct me towards better tutorial or show me where did I make mistake, I need to loop trough entries and extract title tag value. thank you

• .NET SettingsProvider/ApplicationSettingsBase caching

  I'm looking at some code that uses the .NET System.Configuration.SettingsProvider and ApplicationSettingsBase to handle configuration. We have a class that derives from SettingsProvider that uses a database as the data store, and then we have other settings classes that inherit from ApplicationSettingsBase, and have the [SettingsProvider(typeof(MySettingsProvider))] attribute. The problem is that we're using these settings classes in multiple applications, but they seem to permanently cache the configuration values, the first time they are loaded. The issue is that if a setting is changed in one application, the other applications will not get the setting until the next restart, because they are cached everywhere. My question is: is there a way to force the SettingsProvider implementation, or the classes derived from ApplicationSettingsBase to not cache values, and re-query the datastore every time the setting is accessed? A valid answer might be that these classes were not intended to be used in multi-application environments...

• IAR Embedded Workbench - setting endian-ness of variable

  I'm using IAR Embedded Workbench for ARM (ARM7TDMI-S) and the majority of my work is done using little-endian format. However, I saw in the manual that I can do something like : __big_endian int i, j; to declare those two variables as big endian (while the rest of the app as little endian). This seems like a fantastic feature, but when I try to compile, I always get the errror: Error[Pa002]: the type attribute "__big_endian" is not allowed on this declaration. The big endian line above is copied directly from the manual, but it does not work. This is a great feature of the compiler and would make life a big easier. Any ideas how to get it working? I have my language conformance set to 'Allow IAR extensions' on the C/C++ Compiler options tab on the IDE options.

  I am trying build a DataTable one row at a time using the following code. foreach (var e in Project.ProjectElements[hi.FakeName].Root.Elements()) { index = 0; object[] obj=new object[count]; foreach (var holdingColumn in names) { string d = e.Attribute(holdingColumn.Key).Value; obj[index++] = d; } dt.Rows.Add(obj); } The problem is the DataTable has types tied to the columns. Sometimes im passing null (or an empty string) in that object index and it is telling me that it cant be converted properly to a DateTime (in this case). My question is what should I default this value to, or is there some way to have the DataTable ignore empty values.

• How to deal with presence or not of xml namespaces using xslt.

  I have some XML/TEI documents, and i'm writing an XSLT 2.0 to extract their content. Almost all TEI documents has no namespace, but one has the default namespace (xmlns="http://www.tei-c.org/ns/1.0"). So all documents has the same aspect, with unqulified tags like <TEI> or <teiHeader>, but if I try to extract the content, all works with "non-namespaced-documents", but nothing (of course) is extracted from the namespaced-document. So i used the attribute xpath-default-namespace="http://www.tei-c.org/ns/1.0" and now (of course) the only document working is the namespaced one. I can't edit documents at all, so what I'm asking is if there's a way to change dynamically the xpath-default-namespace in order to make work xpaths like //teiHeader both with namespaced and non-namespaced documents

  I'm trying to make a web based media player using the HTML5 audio element implemented in Firefox 3.5 and Chrome. Reading Mozillas documentation, omitting the autobuffer attribute should result in the audio src not being requested: if specified, the audio will automatically begin being downloaded, even if not set to automatically play. This continues until the media cache is full, or the entire audio file has been downloaded, whichever comes first However, on the server side I notice the files are being requested anyway.   Hello, I made a VBS script that imports users and creates a Contact Objects everything working OK till I found that users does not appear in the GAL (Global Address List) looking around I found that I need to use the attribute (showInAddressBook) I tried to use it but I get some errors (Null ......) but my supplied inputs are not empty and I have a checking function before sending the inputs to showInAddressBook so what should I use in there? I used the users names, but it did not work also the users are externals (just to use them in our GAL) they have different emails than our normal users any idea on what should I use with showInAddressBook ? cheers

• How entity edit URL from within plug-in in MS Dyanmics CRM 4.0

  I would like to have a workflow create a task, then email the assigned user that they have a new task and include a link to the newly created task in the body of the email. I have client side code that will correctly create the edit URL, using the entities GUID and stores it in a custom attribute. However, when the task is created from within a workflow, the client script isn't run. So, I think a plug-in should work, but I can't figure out how to determine the URL of the CRM installation. I'm authoring this in a test environment and definitely don't want to have to change things when I move to production. I'm sure I could use a config file, but seems like the plug-in should be able to figure this out at runtime. Anyone have any ideas how to access the URL of the crm service from within a plug-in? Any other ideas? Thanks!

  hi, I just started working with ASP.Net MVC 2. I created a new ASP.Net MVC application and created one vehicle controler with a database table connected with LINQ. Then created forms authentication mechanism for the application and tried to use the uri instead of cookies it was working smoothly but when i submit the form by creating a "Create" view from the controler using the utility it just dont work. The autherization got failed and asking to enter the user name and password again.I had created the authorization mechanism by adding Authorise attribute to the Controller so as to get authorized for all the actions. namespace MVCNEW.Controllers { [Authorize] public class VehicleController : Controller { But if i use the cookies instead of uri it works fine.   Getting attributes using minidom in Python, one uses the "attributes" property. e.g. node.attributes["id"].value So if I have <a id="foo"></a>, that should give me "foo". node.attributes["id"] does not return the value of the named attribute, but an xml.dom.minidom.Attr instance. But looking at the help for Attr, by doing help('xml.dom.minidom.Attr'), nowhere is this magic "value" property mentioned. I like to learn APIs by looking at the type hierarchy, instance methods etc. Where did this "value" property come from?? Why is it not listed in the Attr class' page? The only data descriptors mentioned are isId, localName and schemaType. Its also not inherited from any superclasses. Since I'm new to Python, would some of the Python gurus enlighten?

  Is this possible? I'd like to expose a URL (action) such as http://mysever/myapp/UpdateHeartbeat/. In my MVC application it looks like [Authorize] [AcceptsVerbs(HttpVerbs.Post)] public ActionResult UpdateHeartbeat() { // update date in DB to DateTime.Now } Now, in my MVC application the user has logged in via FORMS authentication and they can execute that action to their hearts content. What I want to do, is hit that URL progromatically (as part of an API that I wouldl like to build) -- is there a way I can do that without removing the [Authorize] attribute and adding username/password as parameters to the POST?

• How to enable i18n from within setup_app in websetup.py ?

  From within the setup_app function (websetup.py) of a pylons i18n application, which is making use of a db, I was trying to initiate multilingual content to be inserted into the db. To do so the idea was something like: necessary imports here def setup_app(command, conf, vars): .... for lang in langs: set_lang(lang) content=model.Content() content.content=_('content') Session.add(content) Session.commit() Unfortunately it seems that it doesn't work. the set_lang code line is firing an exception as follows: File ".. i18n/translation.py", line 179, in set_lang translator = _get_translator(lang, **kwargs) File ".. i18n/translation.py", line 160, in _get_translator localedir = os.path.join(rootdir, 'i18n') File ".. /posixpath.py", line 67, in join elif path == '' or path.endswith('/'): AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'endswith' Actually I'm even not sure it could be possible launching i18n mechanisms from within this setup_app function without an active request object. Anyone has tried some trick on a similar story ?

But since the default for the Mins are 0, the Maxs are Infinity and the Width/Height is Nan....what's going on? Where is WPF getting the window size? Any pointers to the right direction would be appreciated.

Both login options are available in my company clients but my application need to open only in the smart-card login. All the clients are windows 7 OS. • what's the story with the android XML namespace?

  When you first use a name from the android XML namespace, you have to say where to find it, with an attribute in XML like this: <LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" However, that URL is a 404 - nothing found there. The android: namespace is actually included under the locally-installed SDK. So what's going on here? Why do I need to include a dead URL? Why doesn't the build system pick it up from the SDK like all the other libraries? Thanks, just looking for the back story on this. Peter

• Any way to separate unit tests from integration tests in VS2008?

  I have a project full of tests, unit and integration alike. Integration tests require that a pretty large database be present, so it's difficult to make it a part of the build process simply because of the time that it takes to re-initialize the database. Is there a way to somehow separate unit tests from integration tests and have the build server just run the unit tests? I see that there is an Ordered Unit test in VS2008, which allows you to pick and choose tests, but I can't make it just execute alone, without all the others. Is there a trick that I am missing? Or perhaps I could adorn the unit tests with an attribute? What are some of the approaches people are using? P.S. I know I could use mocking for integration tests (just to make them go faster) but then it wouldn't be a true integration test.

I'am trying to port a small piece of someone else's code to Python and this is what I have: typedef struct { uint8_t Y[LUMA_HEIGHT][LUMA_WIDTH]; uint8_t Cb[CHROMA_HEIGHT][CHROMA_WIDTH]; uint8_t Cr[CHROMA_HEIGHT][CHROMA_WIDTH]; } __attribute__((__packed__)) frame_t; frame_t frame; while (! feof(stdin)) { fread(&frame, 1, sizeof(frame), stdin); // DO SOME STUFF } Later I need to access the data like so: frame.Y[x][y] So I made a Class 'frame' in Python and inserted the corresponding variables(frame.Y, frame.Cb, frame.Cr). I have tried to sequentially map the data from Y[0][0] to Cr[MAX][MAX], even printed out the C struct in action but didn't manage to wrap my head around the method used to put the data in there. I've been struggling overnight with this and have to get back to the army tonight, so any immediate help is very welcome and appreciated. Thanks

  I have a class with an attribute and getter method: public Class MyClass { private String myValue = "foo"; public String getMyValue(); } I would like to be able to use the value of foo in a formatted string as such: String someString = "Your value is {myValue}." String result = Formatter.format(someString, new MyClass()); // result is now "Your value is foo." That is, I would like to have some function like .format above which takes a format string specifying properties on some object, and an instance with those properties, and formats the string accordingly. Is it possible to do accomplish this feat in Java?
