  I'm just trying to send myself an e-mail. On on Ubuntu using sendmail. For some reason, it doesn't work. • Can't get simple Apache VHost up and running

  Unfortunately, I can't seem to get a simple Apache VHost online. I used to simply have one VHost which bound to all: <VirtualHost *:80>, but this isn't appropriate for security anymore. I need to have one VHost for localhost requests (ie my dev server) and one for incoming requests via my domain name. • Android Title bar leaving space in when application is resumed

  I am using a Tab Host in my Android App. I have the Titlebar hidden. When I leave the App and resume to it, I have some strange behaviour. If I resume to a tab using a list activity with listView.setAdapter, the title bar is hidden and the space it takes up is consumed by the App. However, if I resume to any tab without the listView.setAdapter, the Titlebar is hidden, but space which was used by it is left behind. This is pushes my tabs (which are positioned at the bottom of the screen) off the screen. The space is once again consumed by my app if I then change to any other tab. I have tried to invalidate most of the obvious Views in my App without and success. • "Access is denied" JavaScript error when trying to access the document object of a programmatically-

  I have project in which I need to create an <iframe> element using JavaScript and append it to the DOM. After that, I need to insert some content into the <iframe>. It's a widget that will be embedded in third-party websites. I don't set the "src" attribute of the <iframe> since I don't want to load a page; rather, it is used to isolate/sandbox the content that I insert into it so that I don't run into CSS or JavaScript conflicts with the parent page. I'm using JSONP to load some HTML content from a server and insert it in this <iframe>. I have this working fine, with one serious exception - if the document.domain property is set in the parent page (which it may be in certain environments in which this widget is deployed), Internet Explorer (probably all versions, but I've confirmed in 6, 7, and 8) gives me an "Access is denied" error when I try to access the document object of this <iframe> I've created. It doesn't happen in any other browsers I've tested in (all major modern ones). This makes some sense, since I'm aware that Internet Explorer requires you to set the document.domain of all windows/frames that will communicate with each other to the same value. However, I'm not aware of any way to set this value on a document that I can't access. Is anyone aware of a way to do this - somehow set the document.domain property of this dynamically created <iframe>? Or am I not looking at it from the right angle - is there another way to achieve what I'm going for without running into this problem? I do need to use an <iframe> in any case, as the isolated/sandboxed window is crucial to the functionality of this widget. An error occurred while making the HTTP request to https://localhost:8000/WCFTest/CalculatorService/. This could be due to the fact that the server certificate is not configured properly with HTTP.SYS in the HTTPS case. This could also be caused by a mismatch of the security binding between the client and the server. The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a send. Authentication failed because the remote party has closed the transport stream. If the service is defined in the current solution, try building the solution and adding the service reference again. I think I'm missing some fundamental basics here. Do I need to set up some certificates? Or should it all just work as it seems to do when I use NetTcpBinding? Thanks

• How to display and update data in MVC2

  Table Product Product Id Product Name Table ProductSupplier ProductSupplierId ProductId SupplierId Table Supplier SupplierId SupplierName I have the above 3 tables in my database, ProductSupplier is the lookup table. Each Product can have many suppliers. I am using Entity Framework. Using Web Forms it was fairly easy to display a Product on a web page and bind a repeater with the suppliers information. Also, with Web Forms it was easy to Add new Product and suppliers, the linkage seemed easy. How do you do this sort of functionality in MVC? In the Create View below, I want to be able to Add the Supplier as well. Is there a better approach that I might be missing here? This is how I did it with Web Forms. Beyond the code below I am totally lost. I can show data in a list and also display the Suppliers for each Product, but how do I Add and Edit. Should I break it into different views? • CommandBinding broken in inner Custom Control when nesting two Custom Controls of the same type.

  I've done a Custom Control in form of a GroupBox but with an extra header which purpose is to hold a button or a stackpanel with buttons at the other side. I've added the a Dependency Property to hold the extra header and I've connected the customized template. Everything works fine until I put one of these controls in another one. Now the wierd stuff begins(at least in my eyes xP), the command binding in the inner control simply isn't set. I tried to use Snoop to gather some data, the see if the inherits is broken and when I clicked on the buttons which isn't doing what I want it to, boom, breakpoint triggered. So in some wierd way the Command isn't set until something that I don't know what it is, happens, which snoops triggers. I've also tried to put the buttons in the regular Header property and that works fine, but not with my own made. I could just switch places with them to make it like I want but now I'm curious to know where the problem lies... Now I wonder, what can I've missed?   Anybody knows proper python implementation of TEA (Tiny Encryption Algorithm)? I tried the one I've found here: http://sysadminco.com/code/python-tea/ - but it does not seem to work properly. It returns different results than other implementations in C or Java. I guess it's caused by completely different data types in python (or no data types in fact).   When using sfDoctrineGuard plugin, it automatically generates the backend administration functionality where I can edit users of the system and assign them permissions. So I visit http://.../backend_dev.php/sf_guard_user/:id/edit where I am presented with the user's information including the available permissions to select.   I'm trying to unit test a controller, but can't figure out how to pass some extra parameters to the routeMatch object. Currently I'm using CCNet to call MSDeploy with the sync verb to take websites from a build to a staging server. Because there are files on the destination that are created by the application / user uploaded files etc, I need to exclude specific folders from being deleted on the destination. Also there are manifest files created by the site that need to remain on the destination.   I have a huge test data like the one provided below (and yes I have no control over this data). Each line is actually 6 parts and I need to generate an XML based on this data. Nav;Basic;Dest;Smoke;No;Yes; Nav;Dest;Recent;Regg;No;Yes; Nav;Dest;Favourites;Regg;No;Yes; ... Nav;Dest using on board;By POI;Smoke;No;Yes; Nav;Dest using on board;Other;Regg;No;Yes; The first 3 elements on each line denotes "test suites"-XML element and the last 3 element should create a "test case"-XML element. • ASP.NET application partially reading external configuration

  I have an ASP.NET web app and am attempting to reference an external config (using enterprise application blocks configuration) for some of the configuration but it is not entirely working. I previously had all of the configuration info in the web.config (and it was working), but we are wanting to share some of this configuration information between multiple apps. When I put configurationSource tag in the web.config, and read the configuration through the WebConfigurationManager object, it loads some of the external config info (Logging) but not the connectionStrings and not the custom section I created. So its reading it (logging is working), but some dots aren't being connected and my connection strings aren't coming through. Again, it worked when it was all in the web.config. Any idea what needs to change to be able to reference an external configuration source and have it all come through?
