    I have two data tables in a data set for example lets say Servers: | Server | Ip | Users: | Username | Password | ServerToConnectTo | and there is a foreign key on users that points to servers. How do I make a combo box that list all of the servers. Then how do I make the selected server in that combo box be saved in the data set in the ServerToConnect to column.

  • Running multiple jvms for different applications in same machine

    We are getting frequent out of memory errors in our dev. machines We are running webshpere, eclipse, soap UI and maven in it. Our server gets down due to this "out of memory errors" when we restart our applications in websphere 2/3 times, We already increased the virtual memory setting in wesphere to 1GB. So what i did was copied the jre we use in eclipse and maven folders so that each of these uses individual jvms. But the performance of websphere is same. 2/3 restarts and out of memory errors. Is there any may of making eclipse and maven use different jvms other than websphere's?

    Hi everyone, I am currently having a hard time on getting the mobile broadband connection running on ubuntu 10.04(lucid lynx). I am using a USB modem and used wvdial to connect to the web It went like: Sending ATZ ... OK sending some more flags OK modem initialized connecting Local IP x.x.x.x Remote IP y.y.y.y Primary DNS z.z.z.z Secondary DNS a.a.a.a (Some more output) I tested this with invalid username to make sure it is really connected and i think it was connected as connection failed with invalid usernames. Now when I do a remote ping say 8.8.8.8 (Google DNS servers), the ping says unreachable I think this might be because the system may be using the ethernet to send packets which was indeed disconnected. So can anyone help me out with this. How can I select ppp as the interface to send packets or is there some other problem. A command line solution will be appreciated as my network manager applet doesnt works correctly. Any help is much much appreciated. -- thx

    Hello, I have a solution with many components and each component has its own version file (AssemblyInfo.cs). Currently each file as the standard structure: [assembly: AssemblyVersion("1.0.0.0")] [assembly: AssemblyFileVersion("1.0.0.0")] I would like to use the file version as the component version and keep that independent but I would like to have the "Product Version" be the same for all the components. I would like to do that by having a file at the solution level that is used by all the projects to get that version embedded. Any suggestions Thanks Tony

    I have the following GNU makefile: .PHONY a b c d a: b c b: d c: d d: echo HI I would like the target 'd' to be run twice -- since it is specified as a dependency by both b & c. Unfortunately, the target 'd' will be executed only once. The output of running make will simply be 'HI', instead of 'HI HI'. How can I fix this? Thanks! Expected result: EventSource opens a stream connection to the server, the server keeps it open for a safe time (say, 2 minutes) so that I am protected from thread leaking from dead clients, as new message events are received by the server (and enqueued to a thread safe collection such as BlockingCollection) they are pushed in the open stream to the client: message 1 received at T+0ms, pushed to the client at T+x message 2 received at T+200ms, pushed to the client at T+x+200ms Actual behaviour: EventSource opens a stream connection to the server, the server keeps it open until a message event arrives (thanks to long polling) once a message is received, MVC pushes the message and closes the connection. EventSource has to reopen the connection and this happens after a couple of seconds. message 1 received at T+0ms, pushed to the client at T+x message 2 received at T+200ms, pushed to the client at T+x+3200ms This is not OK as it defeats the purpose of using SSE as the clients start again reconnecting as in normal polling and message delivery gets delayed. Now, the question: is there a native way to keep the connection open after sending the first message and sending further messages on the same connection?

I have a table with 3 fields person, recipe and ingredient person = creator of the recipe recipe = the recipe ingredient = one of the ingredients in the recipe I want to create a query which results in every person who whenever has added carrot to a recipe, the person must also have added salt to the same recipe. More than one person can have created the recipe, in which case the person who added the ingredient will be credited for adding the ingredient. Sometimes the ingredient is used more than once, even by the same person. If this the table: person1, rec1, carrot person1, rec1, salt person1, rec1, salt person1, rec2, salt person1, rec2, pepper person2, rec1, carrot person2, rec1, salt person2, rec2, carrot person2, rec2, pepper person3, rec1, sugar person3, rec1, carrot Then I want this result: person1 Because this person is the only one who whenever has added carrot also have added salt.

    I have a music related ASP.NET web site which caches a lot of static information from the database on the first request. Sometimes, the application is reset and cache is cleared while the application is on heavy load and then all http requests go to the database to retrieve that static data and cache it for other requests. How can I ensure that only one request go to the database and cache the results, so that other request simply read that info from cache and not needlessly retrieve the same info over and over again. Can I use thread locking? For example, can I do something like lock(this) { db access here }?

    I have a three strings of categories "SharePoint,Azure,IT"; "BizTalk,Finance"; "SharePoint,Finance"; I need to find a way to check if a string contains for example "SharePoint" and "IT", or "BizTalk" and "Finance". The tests are individual strings themselces.     My project needs to handle three databases, that means three session factories. The thing is if i do something like this with fluent nhibernate: .Mappings(m = m.FluentMappings.AddFromAssembly(Assembly.GetExecutingAssembly())) the factories would pick up all the mappings, even the ones that correspond to another database I've seen that when using automapping you can do something like this, and filter by namespace: .Mappings(m = m.AutoMappings.Add(AutoMap.AssemblyOf().Where(t = t.Namespace == "Storefront.Entities"))) I havent found anything like this for fluent mappings, is it possible?? The only solutions I can think of are: either create separate assemblies for each db mapping classes or explicitly adding each of the entities to the factory configuration. I would prefer to avoid both, if possible. Thanks.

    Hi, what is the best practice or best way of passing form parameters from page to page in a flow? If I have a flow where a user enters data in a form and hits next and repeats this process until they get to an approval page, what ways could I approach this problem to make the retention of data as simple as possible over the flow? I guess you could put all the information as you go in the session but could you get into memory issues if a lot of people are using your app and going through the flow at the same time?
