    Hi http://wiki.apache.org/couchdb/Document_Update_Handlers CouchDB ( 0.10 and above ) supports in-place updates now. I'm having trouble understanding how it works.     All of the SVN shops I've worked in have a strict rule - replace all tabs with spaces, to avoid whitespace conflicts and variations of tabs in different editors. Is this a very common standard? Does it really make a huge difference, and is it worth the trouble to push this standard to a group of developers new to SVN?

    I am having trouble accessing the database while I am developing on the phone. Whenever I execute cd /data/data/com.mycompck/databases then if I try to run ls I get opendir failed, Permission denied Or whenever I type in: sqlite3 I get sqlite3: permission denied What I am doing wrong? Are there some applications that can help me getting a human view of content resolvers values and/or SQLite databases?

  • Has anyone been able to install Retrospectiva on a Windows machine?

    I've been looking into some bug trackers and Retrospectiva seems like a good tool. However, I am having all sorts of trouble installing it on my machine. I followed the guide on their site (http://retrospectiva.org/tickets/357) but it hasn't helped much and there don't seem to be a lot of users on their site that work with Windows. I am wondering if any of the SO users have any experience working with Retrospectiva.

  • CSS Unwanted padding in IE using floats.

    It's been a long day of designing and I ran into a problem today. The website www.dcninc.com/newtest/security_testing.php is a new design I'm working on at work right now. If you view it in Firefox you will notice there is no padding on the 2 right boxes (I did that on purpose to trouble shoot my problem) However if you view that same page in IE, it adds padding to the right side. Im not a programmer so I dont know all the details. But how much would you think servers are going to cost for a complex app. I cant get into too many details but it keeps track of user preferences, stores data about the user and there is quite alot of back-end to it.

  • Can we turn on the iphone's number keyboard WITHOUT using type=number?

    I'm making a webapp, and I'd like an input field to show the Iphone's number keypad. I understand that type=number will make the keypad show the way I'd like. The trouble is that type=number does not support placeholder text. So if I would like this: Expiration Date: [eg: 2010] I can not get it to work, and also show the right keyboard. Is there a way to force the iphone keyboard into number mode without using the number input type?

I also tried ... nonatomic, retain @property (readwrite, assign) NSUInteger *anAmount; @synthesize anAmount; error: type of property 'anAmount' does not match type of ivar 'anAmount' Also when I release it in dealloc I get a warning.. warning: invalid receiver type 'NSUInteger'

  • Phpmyadmin mysql foreign key help

    Hey guys i'm using phpmyadmin (php & mysql) and i'm having alot of trouble linking the tables using foreign keys. I'm getting negative values for the field countyId (which is the foriegn key). However it is linking to my other table fine and it's cascading fine. So when I go to add data there will be a drop box for the CountyId and the vlaues will look something like this, " -1 1- " Here is my alter statement, ALTER TABLE Baronies ADD FOREIGN KEY (CountyId) REFERENCES Counties (CountyId) ON DELETE CASCADE

  • Clone elements and load previously loaded scripts

    Hi, I am using clone() to move certain elements into another place in the DOM, but had trouble due to the fact that the scripts previously rendered was not available anymore when called from the cloned elements.     I'm looking for a way that I can take say, a 200x200 pixel image and center it over a background that's 500x500 pixels. The background should be the color of the top-left corner of the 200x200 pixel image. I get the -gravity and -fill flags, but I'm having trouble finding a way to grab that top-left corners color to pass to the -fill flag.

    I am having trouble installing the latest version of IE namely version 8.0.6001.18702. I downloaded the install from Microsoft but when the install is completed, the version number is reported as IE 8.0.6001.18702IC. This version does not work on all web applications and I need to get the correct final version installed. The problem is compounded by the installation downloading any updates from the Microsoft site so that there is no real control over the final version you get. Any ideas?

  • Which kind of changes can't I do with lightweight migration in Core Data?

    I recently tried a lot of different stuff with lightweight migration. These all work: 1) Rename attributes (with renaming identifier specified) 2) Add attributes 3) Add new entity + new attribute + inverse relationship to an already existing entity 4) remove existing entity + relationships to that entity = It almost looks like just about anything can be handled with LM. Did I miss something? In which cases am I getting into trouble and need an some more complex approach?
