Any suggestions?
The sound I wanted to stop or play are separates into background music and button sound effect. I know you could use SoundMixer.stopAll() to stop all sound, and some how exclude the bg music, IF everything is written in the same class. But what if the sounds are called from others dynamic classes? How could I target them and exclude the bg Music?

I have been playing around with creation of pdf documents for a project that I'm working on. I would like to store the generated pdf document in a SQL database and then later be able to retrieve this pdf as well.
What are some suggestions for doing this? Can the document be stored in the database without physically creating the document on the server?
I am currently working on an search application which uses Lucene.Net to index the data from the database to Index file. I have a product catalog which has Name, short and long description, sku and other fields. The data is stored in Index using StandardAnalyzer. I am trying to add auto suggestion for a text field and using TermEnum to get all the keyword terms and its score from the Index. But the terms returned are of single term. For example, if I type for co, the suggestion returned are costume, count, collection, cowboy, combination etc. But I want the suggestion to return phrases. For exmaple, if I search for co, the suggestions should be cowboy costume, costume for adults, combination locks etc.
The following is the code used to get the suggestions:
public string[] GetKeywords(string strSearchExp)
{
IndexReader rd = IndexReader.Open(mIndexLoc);
TermEnum tenum = rd.Terms(new Term("Name", strSearchExp));
string[] strResult = new string[10];
int i = 0;
Dictionary<string, double> KeywordList = new Dictionary<string, double>();
do
{
//terms = tenum.Term();
if (tenum.Term() != null)
{
//strResult[i] = terms.text.ToString();
KeywordList.Add(tenum.Term().text.ToString(), tenum.DocFreq());
}
} while (tenum.Next() && tenum.Term().text.StartsWith(strSearchExp) && tenum.Term().text.Length > 1);
var sortedDict = (from entry in KeywordList orderby entry.Value descending select entry);
foreach (KeyValuePair<string, double> data in sortedDict)
{
if (data.Key.Length > 1)
{
strResult[i] = data.Key;
i++;
}
if (i >= 10) //Exit the for Loop if the count exceeds 10
break;
}
tenum.Close();
rd.Close();
return strResult;
}
Can anyone please give me directions to achive this? Thanks for looking into this.
I have a problem with UpdatePanels and IE6. ( Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerParserErrorException )
The version of .NET is 2.0.
The strange thing is that if i open Fiddler to capture the requests, IE6 starts working ok!.. If i close Fiddler, then IE6 starts to report the problem.
The problem is that i can't see the request because when Fiddler is monitoring, the error stops appearing.
Any suggestions ?
Thanks
I am currently achieving the desired outcome with two PHP statements:
$thisBlarg = $xmlResource->xpath('//blarg[@ID='.$someBlargID.']');
echo $thisBlarg[0]->name;
But, not wanting to settle for second best, I'd really prefer this to be one statement, but PHP doesn't like this:
echo $xmlResource->xpath('//blarg[@ID='.$someBlargID.']')[0]->name;
And for good reason. But I can't find a way to force an xpath query to return the result directly. Any suggestions?
hello,
i am developing wpf application..
i need your suggestions.
i have to make reports in my application...
so which one is best, by crystal report or by using sql server reporting service..
friends what you say ? give ur suggestion which one is best and why ???
So I am trying to change the number of fields in my dataset in SSRS and the refresh button is not picking up the added field from the SQL server. The query is definitely returning the correct data, as I have double checked in the server engine itself. Also, I have tried manually adding the field using the SSRS menu, but as soon as I execute it disappears.
Any suggestions or similar experiences?
I have prepared a wpf application using visual studio 2010 in windows 7 which includes crystal report viewer.
I tried to run the application on another windows 7 pc with CR runtime installed, it worked properly.
I tried the same thing with windows xp but everytime the crystal report loads it gives an unhandled exception and the whole app stops working and closes.
what to do in this case? or give me some suggestions how to make work with window-XP
This is kind of an academic question, so feel free to exit now. I've had a dig through Stack for threads pertaining to URL/Controller mapping in MVC frameworks - in particular this one:
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/125677/php-application-url-routing
So far, I can ascertain two practices:
1: dynamic mapping through parsing the URL string (exploded on '/')
2: pattern matching matching url to config file containing available routes
I wanted to get some feedback (or links to some other threads/articles) from folks regarding their views on how best to approach this task.
I am successfully linking some of my code stored in a .jar-based library to my Android app. The .jar code references Android library content just fine.
The problem is I need to include 'res' resources in the library but can't work out how to do this.
Any suggestions?
I've always wanted to be able to use the line below but the C# compiler won't let me. To me it seems obvious and unambiguos as to what I want.
myString.Trim({'[', ']'});
I can acheive my goal using:
myString.Trim(new char[]{'[', ']'});
So I don't die wondering is there any other way to do it that is closer to the first approach?

I have to write my own hash function. If I wanted to just make the simple hash function that maps each letter in the string to a numerical value (i.e. a=1, b=2, c=3, ...), is there a way I can perform this hash on a string without having to first convert it to a c-string to look at each individual char? Is there a more efficient way of hashing strings?
Is it possible (and if so how) to redirect the url from a forms get variables into something more url friendly using IIS 7's URL Rewrite module. An example would be
/Catalog/Search/Title=Something&Order=Price
into
/Catalog/Search/Title/Something/Order/Price
Thanks for any suggestions
I am a newbie to perl. My problem is...

I am adapting the Coverflow technique to work with a div. The coverflow function (included as a js file in the head section) is here. When I dynamically add a DIV, it doesn't show up in the coverflow. I am wondering if there is a way to add a destroy function to this js file so that whenever a new div add is added, I can call the destroy method and then reinstantiate. Any suggestions on how I should go about doing this?
I'm looking for a way to serialize Java objects into XML for use by a RESTful web service. I don't have an XSD.
I have looked at the following:
JAXB - fairly heavy weight with annotations required on classes and also an ObjectFactory class and/or a jaxb.index file
Simple - requires annotations but no other config classes/files. Unfortunately it can't serialize Sets.
XStream - no annotations etc. required, but doesn't support generics
Does anyone else have any suggestions?
Trying to use regex refind tag to find the content within the brackets in this example using coldfusion
