• Average time from database list in C# with ASP MVC?

  I have a list of times that I have acquired from a sql database and I need to find the average time. I tried just doing list.average() and list.sum(), but neither of those work with timespan lists. What do you all suggest? btw, time is returned in a hh:mm:ss format.

• How to render a text box instead of a select box when using model form set

  Hi, When I render my formset, one of the field renders as a select box because it is a foreign field in the model. Is there a way to change this to a text input? I want to populate that field by using Ajax auto complete. Adding a widget to the modelform is not working because the modelformset_factory takes a model and not a model form.

• Where to find prebuilt binaries for subversion 1.6 for Ubuntu (or Debian)?

  While I can easily find the binaries for the latest version of subversion (1.6) I can't find the binaries for Ubuntu (or Debian). The download page at tigris.org suggest to use the command: apt-get install subversion but as you can experience this will install up to the version 1.5.4 (at the time of writing May 6, 2009). This isn't a nice thing because many working copies that I share with Windows are automatically updated to 1.6 by TortoiseSVN.

• slowness in IE 8 IE9 while drawing tables in a html page

  My HTML page contains many tables,with numerous tr and td. While rendering in IE8/IE9 the its very slow but in Firefox its fast. I had read somewhere while drawing tables if the tables are not of fixed width, IE calculates the width every time and renders so usually slow. Right now i am adding Table style="table-layout:fixed" which made me feel its faster. Are there any similar styles that can be added to tr and td as well.Also suggest if there any other attribtes that can be added to a table

  I was thinking of formatting it like this TYYYYMMDDNNNNNNNNNNX (1 character + 19 digits) Where T is type YYYY is year MM is month DD is day N is sequencial number X is check digit The problem is, how do I generate the sequencial number? since my primary key is not an auto increment integer value, if it was i would use that, but its not. EDIT can I have the sequencial number resets itself after 1 day (24hours).
