    We are about to release beta version of our website. Lately we have seen that developers have not set setfocusonerror on any of the validaor controls used.We have to set this property. Now, one solution is to open every page and put this property in place. I am looking for some othe way like some configuration in web.config or some other quick solution. I have usercontrols and pages. Page derive from base page.Please suggest.

  • How can I center something if I don't know ahead of time what the width is?

    I am trying to center a paragraph tag with some text in it within a div, but I can't seem to center it using margin: 0 auto without having to specify a fixed width for the paragraph. I don't want to specify a fixed width, because I will have dynamic text coming into the paragraph tag and it will always be a different width based on how much text it is. Does anyone know how I can center the paragraph tag within the div without having to specify a fixed width for the paragraph or without using tables?

I've never used them before because personally I think they decrease the readability of a program. I am willing to change my mind about using them if the argument is solid enough however. I have configured my apllication on face book with the url : http://localhost:portnumber/Home/Test?Return="ok" when i run the application then it opened pop up of facebook having two text boexs for user name and password with warning message: "Given URL is not allowed by the Application configuration" In my application Test is the name of Action method of controller Please suggest me how to handle this.     I'm wondering if its possible to configure Intellij's smart insert to suggest hamcrest and mockito dsl idioms when in test classes. Really I'm looking for something like eclipse's 'static favorites', so that when I hit ctrl + space or ctrl +shift +space the idioms are present. In general is it possible to configure autocomplete/smart insert or the suggestions balloon for that matter. I've looked through the settings without much luck but could easily have overlooked something.

    I was thinking of formatting it like this TYYYYMMDDNNNNNNNNNNX (1 character + 19 digits) Where T is type YYYY is year MM is month DD is day N is sequencial number X is check digit The problem is, how do I generate the sequencial number? since my primary key is not an auto increment integer value, if it was i would use that, but its not. EDIT can I have the sequencial number resets itself after 1 day (24hours). P201012080000000001X <-- first transaction of 2010/12/08 P2010120810000000002X <--- second transaction of 2010/12/08 P201012090000000001X <--- First transaction of 2010/12/09 (X is the check digit)

    In asp.net global.asax, where should i write code to assign role in httpcontext.user? What i have read in site is that it should be part of "Application_onPostauthentication" event of global.asax but i am not getting that if i write there then it is execute for each request of user. I think this should fetch one for one authentication at session. I don't know even why microsoft also suggest to write code there? Please if anybody know the fact make me clear?
