I am running a sql in PHP query that is dieing with the mysql_error() of
Unknown column '' in 'field list'
The query:
SELECT `standard` AS fee FROM `corporation_state_fee` WHERE `stateid` = '8' LIMIT 1
when I run the query in PHPmyadmin, it return the information without flagging the error
In my asp.net I am using Datalist in that I want to limit row count and want the sort to be in vertical. Let me know how to do this.
Ex: I want my list to be like this
Hi,
I was wondering if its faster to retrieve the "count" of the number of rows or to retrieve just 1 row using limit. The purpose being to see whether theres any row when given certain Where conditions.
JPA promises to be vendor neutral for persistence and database. But I already know than some persistence frameworks like hibernate are not perfect (character encoding, null comparison) and you need to adapt your schema for each database. Because there is two layers (the persistence framework and database), I would imagine they're some work to use some JPA codes...
Does anyone has some experiences with multiple support and if yes, what are the tricks and recommendations to avoid such incompatibilities ?
I understand most Android devices have a 16mb limit (24mb on Nexus One) on the Java heap size. Is there any way a single app can use more memory than that? I know the native SDK doesn't have this limitation but I'd like to stick with Java.
I moved my php application to the new server. i use mysql5 db. When i'm Updating or Inserting something to db, every " and - sign changed to ?. I use SET NAMES UTF8 and SET CHARACTER SET but it don't work. Any ideas?
Hi, im trying to sort my transformed output by a element which contains a hex value.
<xsl:sort select="Generation/Sirio/Code" data-type="number"/>
Values are plain old Hex: 00 01 02 ... 0A ... FF but they are getting sorted like that: 0A FF 00 01 02, which indicates the sorting method fails as soon as there are character involved.
How can i work around this?
Thank you very much!
How can I find and show Name of first element in a table?
I'm guessing that I have to use something like
$this->data['lastInvioce'] = $this->Invoice->find('all', array('limit' => 1));
... in controller to find it...
Tnx in adv!!!
UPDATE polls_options SET `votes`=`votes`+1, `percent`=ROUND((`votes`+1) / (SELECT voters FROM polls WHERE poll_id=? LIMIT 1) * 100,1)
WHERE option_id=?
AND poll_id=?
Don't have table data yet, to test it properly. :)
And by the way, in what type % integers should be stored in database?
Thanks for the help!
Hi,
I have added some const character in my file as under. The error i get is duplicate symbol _xyz(say). What is the problem with it and how could i get out of this.
const char* xyz = "xyz";
class Abc
{
public:
Abc()
{
}
};
Hello Guys,
We have been using PHP/MySQL for our web application which has been growing a lot, the database is around 4-5GB and one of the table is 2GB sometimes, hence slowing down whenever any queries to that table is called.
Should we just try to optimize, or are we using MySQL above its limit? Will switching our web app to .NET/MSSQL resolve the issues?
Thanks
I could actually see a use for the Google Annotations Gallery in real code:
Stumble across code that somehow works
beyond all reason? Life's short. Mark
it with @Magic and move on:
@Magic
public static int negate(int n) {
return new Byte((byte) 0xFF).hashCode()
/ (int) (short) '\uFFFF' * ~0
* Character.digit ('0', 0) * n
* (Integer.MAX_VALUE * 2 + 1)
/ (Byte.MIN_VALUE >> 7) * (~1 | 1);
}
This is a serious question. Could this be used in an actual code review?
When I run the following program:
public static void main(String args[]) throws Exception
{
byte str[] = {(byte)0xEC, (byte)0x96, (byte)0xB4};
String s = new String(str, "UTF-8");
}
on Linux and inspect the value of s in jdb, I correctly get:
s = "ì–´"
on Windows, I incorrectly get:
s = "?"
My byte sequence is a valid UTF-8 character in Korean, why would it be producing two very different results?
Attempting to insert an escape character into a table results in a warning. For example:
create table EscapeTest (text varchar(50));
insert into EscapeTest (text) values ('This is the first part \n And this is the second');
Produces the warning:
WARNING: nonstandard use of escape in a string literal
(Using PSQL 8.2)
Anyone know how to get around this?
Is there a way to find all possible start positions for a regex match in perl?
For example, if your regex was "aa" and the text was "aaaa", it would return 0, 1, and 2, instead of, say 0 and 2.
Obviously, you could just do something like return the first match, and then delete all characters up to and including that starting character, and perform another search, but I'm hoping for something more efficient.
I have the following source code
public class mod_MyMod extends BaseMod
public String Version()
{
return "1.2_02";
}
public void AddRecipes(CraftingManager recipes)
{
recipes.addRecipe(new ItemStack(Item.diamond), new Object[] {
"#", Character.valueOf('#'), Block.dirt
});
}
When I try to compile it I get the following error:
java:11: reached end of file while parsing }
What am I doing wrong? Any help appreciated.
Hi friends,
I am developing a web site using php.
I have placed so many adds in that, i want a code to zoom that web page up to a limit and back to also to normal stage.
How can i do this???
does any one have an idea...
Thanks
Came across this error today. Wondering if anyone can tell me what it means:
Cannot sort a row of size 9522, which is greater than the allowable maximum of 8094.
Is that 8094 bytes? Characters? Fields? Is this a problem joining multiple tables that are exceeding some limit?
The strings` length is less than 30 but Variable.
I use the following code, but the SComAssistant only can receive two Character.

Hello,
I have a loop that runs for approx. 25 minutes i.e 1500 seconds. [100 loops with sleep(15)]
The execution time for the statements inside loop is very less.
My scripts are hosted on GoDaddy. I am sure that they are having some kind of limit on execution time.
My question is, are they concerned with "the total CPU execution time" or the total running time.
Somewhat new to SQL queries and I need a little help with my join.
I am supplied with gid
For each of these I need to grab name from table wp_ngg_gallery
then join in table wp_ngg_pictures and grab field filename limit 1 order DESC by field imagedate
Anyone able to help?
Hi
How to translate GdkEventKey.keyval with level 0 to key value with level == 0? For example:
GDK_ISO_Left_Tab ==> GDK_Tab? Of course not using switch/case for every key.
I need to get particular key, not a character.
Can TextMate be changed to "shift text to right" by highlighting text and pressing Tab?
Right now it actually replace the whole selected text with a tab character but I almost never want to do something like that. I think some other editors like Notepad++ will indent to the next level.
I have a daemon writing to a log file that, eventually, fills up the disk. Is there a way for me to periodically limit the size of the log file without stopping the daemon without changing the code in it? SIGHUP kills the daemon.
