  Hi, I have the following file structure: C:/wamp/myproject/admin/webroot/images I have an index.php file lying inside the admin folder which calls a header.inc.php file lying in the same folder. header.inc.php has the following code- <td align="left" valign="top" class="header-bg"> <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0"> index.php calls a css file (css.css) through the following code: <link href="<?php echo (WS_DIR_CSS); ?>/css.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /> The css lies in the following location: C:/wamp/myproject/admin/webroot/css The css files has a class which has the following code: .header-bg { background:url(../images/header_bg.jpg) left top repeat-x; height:77px; } The image header_bg.jpg is not being displayed in the browser. Help anyone?

• Strange difference between optimized/non optimized microsoft c++ code

  I have a c++ program with a method that looks something like this: int myMethod(int* arr1, int* arr2, int* index) { arr1--; arr2--; int val = arr1[*index]; int val2 = arr2[val]; doMoreThings(val); } With optimizations enabled (/O2) the first line where the first pointer is decremented is not executed. I assume the compiler believes that the arr1 array is not used since it thinks it can remove the decrement. Am I violating some convention in the above code? What could cause this behavior? It is a very old piece of f2c-translated code, the pointer decrement is due to the 1-based indexing of the original code.

  Hi. I want to launch my own media player application when I want to watch a video from Youtube. When I write android:scheme="http" and android:host="m.youtube.com" it is OK. But, it asks everywhere in m.youtube.com to open my app. So, it gets annoying. I tried to use pathPattern, pathPrefix and path to solve this but I didn't get ahead. All I want is clearly this: When the link is like "http://m.youtube.com/index?desktop_uri=%2F%gl=US#" the intent filter shouldn't launch my app. When the link is like "http://m.youtube.com/index?desktop_uri=%2F&gl=US#/watch?xl=xl_blazer&v=k3Cdqx1qFX8" my application should be launched. Is there anyone that can help me?

• Model self referential collections in Rails

  I have written an application for an online clothing store in Rails 2.3.5. I want to show related Products when a customer views the Product Detail page. For example, if the customer views the detail page for a suit, I'd like to display the accessory products that match the dress such as a vest, shoes, and belt. I have named the related products an Ensemble. However, the vest, shoes, and belts are also Products which is what has me struggling. I have it working as follows but I know it's not the Rails way. I have a Products table for all of the products. Not important here but I also have a ProductDetails table. I have an Ensembles table that has the following columns: product_id - the main or origination product, the one displayed on the detail page outfit_id - the related or accessory product In setting up the data, on the Products list, for each Product I have an Ensemble link. This link takes you to the index action in the Ensembles controller. Using the id from the "main" Product, I find all of the associated Ensemble rows by product_id or I create a new ensemble and assign the id from the main product as the product_id. I'd like to just be able to do @product.related_products to get an Ensemble collection. Also on the index page I list the columns of the main product so the user can be sure their main product was the one they selected from the list. I also have a select list of the other products, with an Add to Ensemble action. Finally on the same index page, I have a table that displays the products that are already in the ensemble and in that list each row has a destroy link to remove a particular product from the ensemble. It would be nice if given a single Ensemble row @ensemble I could do @ensemble.product to get the Product related to the outfit_id of the ensemble row. I've got it working without associations but I have to run queries in the controller to build my own @product, @ensemble, and @ensembles collections. Also the only way I found to destroy an ensemble row is by Ensemble.connection.delete(sql to delete), simple @ensemble.destroy doesn't work. Anyone know how I would set up the associations or have a link to a site explaining a similar setup. None of the examples I found use the same table. They have A related to B through C. I want A related to other A through B.

• Where's the rest of the space used in this table?

  I'm using SQL Server 2005. I have a table whose row size should be 124 bytes. It's all ints or floats, no NULL columns (so everything is fixed width). There is only one index, clustered. The fill factor is 0. After inserting a ton of data, sp_spaceused returns the following name rows reserved data index_size unused OHLC_Bar_Trl 117076054 29807664 KB 29711624 KB 92344 KB 3696 KB which shows a rowsize of approx (29807664*1024)/117076054 = 260 bytes/row. Where's the rest of the space? Is there some DBCC command I need to run to tighten up this table (I could not insert the rows in correct index order, so maybe it's just internal fragmentation)?

  i wrote this python code, which from wolfram alpha says that its supposed to return the factorial of any positive value (i probably messed up somewhere), integer or not: from math import * def double_factorial(n): if int(n) == n: n = int(n) if [0,1].__contains__(n): return 1 a = (n&1) + 2 b = 1 while a<=n: b*=a a+= 2 return float(b) else: return factorials(n/2) * 2**(n/2) *(pi/2)**(.25 *(-1+cos(n * pi))) def factorials(n): return pi**(.5 * sin(n*pi)**2) * 2**(-n + .25 * (-1 + cos(2*n*pi))) * double_factorial(2*n) the problem is , say i input pi to 6 decimal places. 2*n will not become a float with 0 as its decimals any time soon, so the equation turns out to be pi**(.5 * sin(n*pi)**2) * 2**(-n + .25 * (-1 + cos(2*n*pi))) * double_factorial(loop(loop(loop(...))))) how would i stop the recursion and still get the answer? ive had suggestions to add an index to the definitions or something, but the problem is, if the code stops when it reaches an index, there is still no answer to put back into the previous "nests" or whatever you call them

• jquery, simplemodal with a tooltip?

  I'm using http://dev.mariusilie.net/content/simple-tooltip-jquery-plugin for my tooltip and simple modal for a modal window. I've got a link in the modal window and when I put my mouse over it, the tooltip is there, but it's beneath the modal window. I think it has to do with "z-index". I looked and I think the modal window is at 1000. I've set the #simpleTooltip property in the css with various z-index values, with no luck. It always appears beneath the modal window. Any Ideas?

  I am going crazy with this one I have this folders and files structure / /projects /mytest /install /index.php /product /resources So, inside my install/index.php file I am trying to verify if /product folder does exist. I know that the folder exists, but looks like PHP doesn't.   hi. Sorry to flood so many questions this week. I assume thread index returned by thread.get_id is implementation specific. In case of the pthreads, is index reused? IE, if thread 0 runs and joins, is thread launched afterwords going to have a different ID? the reason I ask this is a need to implement Singleton pattern with a twist: each thread gets its own instance. I know it sounds very crazy, but threads control hardware (cuda) which does not permit device memory sharing. What is a good way to implement such pattern?

• run the script only once?

  being new to php and coming from asp.net, i would like to know if there is an equivalent of IsPostBack, which calls a function or a method only once, once the user is logged in. i have a facebook application, in which once the user authorizes the application it should enter his details in the database. this basic stuff should have been done using the post-authorize callback url which facebook pings when the user first authorizes the app, but somehow that is not working; hence i have to do it manually. the issue is that, since i'm checking whether the user exists or not in index.php, i would not like index.php to run this code repeatedly for the same user when the user goes to the homepage every time. any ideas?

• Mongoose Not Creating Indexes

  I have been trying all afternoon to get my node.js application to create MongoDB indexes properly. I am using the Mongoose ODM and in my schema definition below I have the username field set to a unique index. The collection and document all get created properly, it's just the indexes that aren't working. All the documentation says that the ensureIndex command should be run at startup to create any indexes, but none are being made. I'm using MongoLab for hosting if that matters. I have also repeatedly dropped the collection.   I am not good in regular expressions and I need help in replacing the string. String str = "Name_XYZ_"; str = "XYZ_NAME_"; So how can I replace "Name_" or "_NAME_" from above two strings with empty string? The conditions are "Name" can be in any case and it can be at index 0 or at any index but preceded by "_".   I am looking for an open source search engine plugin written in php for my website(eCommerce). Before anybody answer that I have a doubt regarding the search engine. Usually search engine crawl web pages, create indexes and then use them while looking for contents. But will the same model work for eCommerce websites? Yeah, it can crawl products pages, index them but don't you think it would be better if it crawls the database directly and index the products stored in the database? And when a user search for any product, it will simply give us the rows of the table which matches the user query? May be what I am asking is a stupid question but I am new to web development, so kindly help me to understand the concept. I have looked at a search engine called Sphider but didn't get what all I have to do to make it work with an eCommerce website.

  From programming pearls, it is known that array[1...n] has heap property if for all 2<=i<=n x[i/2]<=x[i]. When I compile this code it shows me at last line that it is not heap. Maybe because the index starts from 1 and we don't pay attention to index 0, yes?
