• How do I get a jQuery dialog window to display only if a form validates when I click the submit butt

  I've got a form that is using jQuery validation. When the user clicks the submit button, a dialog window displays thatshows the fields the user filled out along with the data the user entered. It asks the user if this information is correct. If it is, the user clicks the submit button in the dialog window and the form is submitted. If the user clicks the 'Fix it' button, the dialog window closes and the user returns to the form. My problem is my dialog window displays when the user clicks the form's submit button even if there are errors in the form. I only want to display the dialog window if the form data is validated by jQuery. How do I do this? I'm thinking of something like: if ((#form).validates() == true) { $('#verification_dialog').dialog('open'); } Is there a way in jQuery to determine whether the whole form has validated? Or do I have to create my own function to do this?

  I'm looking for an easy way for the user to see how many drinks they've had for a BAC calculator. PICTURE OF THE APP, for reference On button press, I would like an image to be added to the screen, directly under the spinner and with left alignment. When I press the button again, I want another image to be added to the screen. So if I pressed the add beer button, a drawable of a beer would appear below the spinner. If I pressed the add beer button again, I want there to be TWO drawables of beers under the spinner, preferably with them being added from the right. (Also, having them reach their width limit, wrapping around, and starting again on the left, but below a full line, would be AWESOME) I can't figure out how to do this. I assume adding a ImageView in code to a relative layout (because it needs to be positioned to the right) would be the best route, but if it's possible in xml I'd be more than happy to use that. Any help?

• How can I make the draggable window border thicker, without changing the appearance?

  When you want to resize a window in gnome (as well as in other systems) you can click-and-hold at the window's border and than drag it. The problem is (and do correct me if I'm wrong here) that the draggable border is just a couple of pixels thick in gnome. That tends to be a little frustrating, and contributes to my wrist pains from using the mouse, as it requires very careful movement of the mouse. How can I change the thickness of the area I can click in order to resize a window? I don't want to increase the appearance of the window border, I'm not talking about eye candy here. I want to fine tune this functionality where I can resize a window by dragging its border. Is there a setting somewhere that will change this?

Sales" End If Basically what is happening is, if a certain radio button is selected and the user didn't click the checkbox the default regions are included and they are hardcoded because the query runs much faster. if the user did click the checkbox then the textbox where they type the specific regions shows up and it will run the query that includes the dbo.B605SaleAsOfAdvancedMaster.SDESCR in (" & TextBox1.Text & ") If you can somehow do this using parameters and not with the textbox1.text in the query it will run much faster for me thanks for your help

• NSTimer freezes the app until it gets fired again?

  Hello all, I have a simple app with a button, UIImageView and a NSTimer. The timer is fired up every 5 seconds repeatedly to update the ImageView with a new image, while the button simply stops the timer and switches to another View. The problem is that when I press the button, nothing happens for a few seconds (until the timer fires up again). Is there a way to cause the button to stop the timer and do its job at any given time instead of between intervals of the timer? Thanks!

• Iphone: Problem with moving back and forth between two UIViewController

  Let me first describe the context of the problem. I have 2 UIViewController call AdminViewController and ButtonReorderViewController. AdminViewController contain 1 button. ButtonReorderViewController contains 1 button and 1 picture. Button in AdminViewController tie to an event call goToReorderButton. The content of goToReorderButton are below: ButtonReorderViewController *buttonReorder = [[ButtonReorderViewController alloc] initWithNibName:@"ButtonReorderViewController" bundle:[NSBundle mainBundle]]; UINavigationController *navController = [[UINavigationController alloc] initWithRootViewController:buttonReorder]; //Add a Navigation Controller to the root view [navController setNavigationBarHidden:TRUE]; buttonReorder = (ButtonReorderViewController *) navController; [[buttonReorder view] setFrame:CGRectMake(0, -20, 320, 470)]; [self.view addSubview:buttonReorder.view]; I use UINavigationController to allow me to swipe left and right.So I am in AdminViewController, and I click on goToReorderButton, it load ButtonReorderViewController. I am able to swipe left and right (awesome !!!) So I click the button in ButtonReorderViewController call goToAdmin, simply to go back to the AdminViewController -(void) goToAdmin{ [self.view removeFromSuperview]; } However, as soon as I go back to AdminViewController, I cant click anything at all. The program does not seg fault, it just that I cant click the button at all. if I remove the line buttonReorder = (ButtonReorderViewController *) navController; inside goToReorderButton, then everything work fine. Any idea how to fix this?

• Ubuntu 12.10 "Turn screen off when inactive for: Never" still turns off

  After a fresh install of Ubuntu 12.10, my screen still goes off after about ten minutes. I've been to the Brightness and Lock control panel. The Turn screen off when inactive for: setting is set for Never. I've been through the dconf Editor searching for power, screen, and idle changing parameters. This doesn't seem to have any effect on the display timeout. Here's one more interesting thing, the screen doesn't go off, per se. It just goes black. Meaning, the back lighting is still on, and all the pixels are black. When it goes black, it does a very pleasant quick dim to black. Similarly, it quickly un-dim's after a key press, mouse movement, or mouse click. So, I'm feeling this is more of a software setting the timeout, not a power saving function.

  Hello, I have a list of radio buttons that are inside a DIV called "radio-btns-wrapper-wjs", this DIV slides down/up when you click on a 'trigger' element, in my case a < span with the class "selected-search-wjs". The DIV "radio-btns-wrapper-wjs" slides back up when the user selects one of the radio buttons. This DIV also slides back up when the user does not take any action (does not select a radio button) but has already moved his mouse over "radio-btns-wrapper-wjs" DIV and then moves it out. So far, so good. What I need is to have the same DIV, "radio-btns-wrapper-wjs", slide back up when the user moves his mouse out from the < span "selected-search-wjs" element but NOT if the user moves his mouse over the DIV "radio-btns-wrapper-wjs". The thing is that is that if do this: $('.selected-search-wjs').mouseleave(function() { $('.radio-btns-wrapper-wjs').slideUp(); }); The DIV with the radio buttons, "radio-btns-wrapper-wjs", slides back up as soon as I leave that DIV to select a radio button. I need a condition that says something like: "Hide the DIV "radio-btns-wrapper-wjs" if the user hovers over you and then hovers out. Also, hide this same DIV if the user moves his mouse away from the < span "selected-search-wjs", but NOT if he moves his mouse over the DIV "radio-btns-wrapper-wjs"." Does all this make sense? • savedInstanceState cannot be resolved to a variable

  I'm currently working through "The Android Developers Cookbook" and one of the tutorials involves multiple activities in an app. To give a bit of background right now I have to .java files, a "menu screen" and a "game screen". The menu screen simply has a button that leads to the game screen which is currently empty except for a button that takes you back to the menu screen. Currently the game.java file is giving me a "savedInstanceState error" this is the code I am working on. public void onCreate(Bundle savedInsanceState) { // below is where the error comes up super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); setContentView(R.layout.game); Button startButton = (Button) findViewById(R.id.end_game); startButton.setOnClickListener(new OnClickListener() { public void onClick(View view) { finish(); } }); } I'm not sure why the error is coming up because on the first java file that same "public void...setContentView..." bit of code compiled perfectly fine...   How can I get the on-screen location of a button in a toolbar? That is getting the rectangle frame of an NSToolbarItem? The [NSToolbarItem view] method seems to always return nil whenever the toolbar item is only a simple action button and thus I couldn't use the normal NSView methods to pinpoint the toolbar button's on-screen position. Background I'm trying to use Matt Gemmell's MAAttachedWindow component to point to a specific toolbar button. The component requires an NSPoint object to "point" the user to a location on the screen. • Update a tableView with a plist took from another table

  Background: I have a tab bar application, which has a tableView as the "heart" of the app. It loads data from a plist and, through a button that checks if there are any updates on the remote plist file, updates the local plist with the remote contents. Then, i have another tableView, that should display only those plist items that have a bool value set to YES. Now i want to add a button to the second table that reloads the plist took from the first table. Expected: When i update the local plist from the first table and when i press the button on the second table, the 2nd table is supposed to update and show the cells with that bool value set to YES. (Note: I set YES as default to some items on plist). What happens: The first table updates its content from remote. The second table shows the old items with the value set to YES. When i press the button to refresh data, it reads the plist fine (by logging it, it has the same contents of the first table -only those set to YES-),but it doesn't update data even if i have [self.tableView reloadData];. • How to play small sound file continuously in Silverlight?

  Hello, I have two questions regarding Silverlight's SoundPlay action and properties. My scenario is like: I have two story board: The first story board has an image and a sound file; when the silverlight application gets loaded, the sound starts to play automatically, but if someone clicks the image, the sound file will stop and the second storyboard will start with a new sound file. 1) My first question is how to stop the first sound file of first story board when the second story board starts with the second sound file. 2) My second question is how to play a sound file continuously; for example, in Silverlight we can play a story board continuously with RepeatBehavior="Forever"; but I cannot find a way to play my 10 second sound file forever or continuously. Note: I have attached a small XAML file to show what I am talking about; I am also stating that if instead of an image file, if there were a button, then I can stop the first music file after I click the button and start my second story board with a new sound file, but I would like to use image file instead of a button. Is it possible? If it is, how to do it?
