  • Visual Studio 2010 crashes nearly every time when closing

    Mostly it happens if we open a team project from tfs 2008 or tfs 2010, but crashes can happen any time. When VS is closing down, it crashes nearly every time. Tried trial RTM and our MSDN download - same story. Tried on three different PCs - same issue. Tried on 32 and 64-bit Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 - crashes. Is it just our luck or does it happen to you to?

    Has anybody had any luck with the following combination F# 2.0 Silverlight v3 .NET Framework 4.0 VS 2010 I have been trying all night and I just can't seem to adopt any of the existing smaples out there to run... My goal is to have a silverlight application 100% backed by F#; the examples that are referenced as working are mostly C# silverlight apps calling F# Libraries. Which in practice should be fine - but I am really trying to impress my girlfriend :)

    I have the following line of code: var connectionString = configItems.Find(item => item.Name.ToLowerInvariant() == "connectionstring"); VS 2010 Code analysis is telling me the following: Warning 7 CA1308 : Microsoft.Globalization : In method ... replace the call to 'string.ToLowerInvariant()' with String.ToUpperInvariant(). Does this mean ToUpperInvariant() is more reliable?

    I just installed Visual Studio 2008, and am looking to use the Microsoft Intermediate Language Disassembler (ILDASM.exe) to look at some DLLs. Problem is, "ildasm" is not recognized on the command line, and I cannot find ildasm.exe anywhere in my VS 2008 install directory (e.g. c:\programs\Visual_Studio_9.0\). Any ideas? UPDATE: Found it! At C:\Program Files\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v6.0A\bin This answer helped.

I created a project in VS 2008 and added the reference of WCF web service and it generated the WSDL,configuration.svcinfo and other relevant files. Now i would like to know how to create the client certificates based on these available files? In the .svcinfo file, i see that there are multiple bindings (wsHttpBinding) and multiple endpoints.   • How do I redirect within a ViewResult or ActionResult function?

    Say I have: public ViewResult List() {} inside this function, I check if there is only one item in the list, if there is I'd like to redirect straight to the controller that handles the list item, otherwise I want to display the List View. How do I do this? Simply adding a RedirectToAction doesn't work - the call is hit but VS just steps over it and tries to return the View at the bottom.

It gets deployed from vs 2010 without any errors.Still when I try to add a sandboxed web part I get error message like " The sandboxed code execution request was refused because the Sandboxed Code Host Service was too busy to handle the request."
