• Can't catch newConnection() signal from QTcpServer

  I am trying to make a simple server thread in QT to accept a connection, however although the server is listening (I can connect with my test app) I can't get the newConnection() signal to be acted on. • Code won't exit foreach block

  I've got the following C# code segment that takes a list, finds objects that are ready to update, then shoves them into a temp list, deletes from the main list, and then goes on its merry way. My issue is that the foreach block, which cycles through my main list, won't exit. TempLog.Clear(); //Ensure TempLog is empty foreach (CLogger ready in PlayerLog) { if (ready.UpdateReady == true) // Record is ready to be updated in database { TempLog.Add(ready); // Add record to templog PlayerLog.Remove(ready); // Remove from playerlog } } <---- Never reaches this point if (TempLog.Count > 0) // Just check that templog isn't empty { new Thread(Update).Start(); // Run update code } I've put heaps of debugging in, and I can watch PlayerLog start at 1, TempLog at 0, then it enters the foreach loop, picks up that the record UpdateReady flag is on, TempLog goes to 1, PlayerLog goes to 0, then it just stops.. • Playing animations in sequence in objecive c

My only problem is I want the new record at the TOP of the list, not the bottom. Is there an elegant and easy way to do this, or am I going to have to do the new element separately, or loop through the list manually?

  I have 2 Lists: List<User> List<UserStats> So I want to add a property Count to User (it doesn't have one now, and I can't change the implementation at this point). For a web service call, that returns json, I want to modify the User object. Basically I add the Users to a collection. So I want to add a modified user class (via anonymous functions?) to the collection before I serialize it to json. So something like: loop users { user.Count = userstats[user.ID].Count; list.Add(user); } is this possible? how?

  I have a small Resharper Template I have written for Null check of a function Parameter (C#). Check.IsNotNull($param$, "$param$"); - Suggest Parameter - #1 I can now null check the function paramters one by one. But I want to be able to null check all the paramters at once through a template. Is it Possible in Resharper?. Is there someting like a "$Foreach" using which I can loop through parameter variables and write the code to check them one by one ?. (without writing out the foreach into the code) I see that the "Alt + Ins" does something similar. (Taking all Properties on the class and making them as parameters of a constructor). So hoping that there's a way out.

I don't see any problem. Any ideas ? Unrolling the copy and performing the explicit loop over the columns works in both compilers. Note that with allocatable instead of pointer I have no problems. The behavior is the same if the statement is either inside a module or not. I confirm the same behavior on Linux using ifort (IFORT) 12.1.3 20120130.

• GSL interpolation error, values must be x values must be monotonically increasing

  Hi my problem is that my data set is monotonically increasing but towards the end the of the data it looks like it does below ,where some of the x[i-1] = x[i] as shown below. This causes an error to be raised in GSL because it thinks that the values are not monotonically increasing. • Using True and False to select items to print

  I have a workbook that contains rows of information that needs to printed to a seperate worksheet in excel. I am trying to utilize a checkbox to indicate which items need to print and which items need to be skipped. The checkbox is located in column "A" and once checked and the macro ran, I want it to pick up the data in each cell of that particular row, transfer it a seperate worksheet (form), prompt and save the worksheet to pdf, clear the form, and then return to the main worksheet to continue until all rows have been checked. However, right now, my code is only looping through the very first "TRUE" statement and not continuing to the rest. • Calling functions outside paths

  In mongojs, when you do: var birds = db.birds.find(searchTerm, callback); ...how do you pass arguments to the callback? I've tried bind, as in: birds = db.birds.find(searchTerm, app.get('getBirds').bind(res)); ...but to no avail. Just fyi I'm trying to pass the response object of the GET route so that the callback can render using res.send(results). The other option is to set app.set('res': res); and call app.get('res') from the callback - I'm not sure this is a good idea. It works, but it doesn't obey the events loop model too well - I think the request back to the app may be costly? Any help would be gratefully accepted. :)

When I step into the loop, the code works well, but when I execute it, the console is always there. It is as if the program is still running. Could it be that the program takes time to execute? • Reusing of a PreparedStatement between methods?

  We all know that we should rather reuse a JDBC PreparedStatement than creating a new instance within a loop. But how to deal with PreparedStatement reuse between different method invocations? Does the reuse-"rule" still count? Should I really consider using a field for the PreparedStatement or should I close and re-create the prepared statement in every invocation? (Of course an instance of such a class would be bound to a Connection which might be a disadvantage) I am aware that the ideal answer might be "it depends". But I am looking for a best practice for less experienced developers that they will do the right choice in most of the cases.

  I'm trying to post data from one node to another. The other node contains the for loop which iterates for long time and finally generates the table. I want to display the result after each iteration. I have tried to put "flush();" but it is not working. What should i do to display each iteration result on the node page? Note: If i do it with ob_flush() it works but it then starts printing data above the header which is not suitable. I want all the data inside the node.

I have a really big recursive function with in a loop and get an exception in one iteration. I don't know which iteration it belongs to$%^&*(. • Python: Pickling highly-recursive objects without using `setrecursionlimit`

  I've been getting RuntimeError: maximum recursion depth exceeded when trying to pickle a highly-recursive tree object. Much like this asker here. He solved his problem by setting the recursion limit higher with sys.setrecursionlimit. But I don't want to do that: I think that's more of a workaround than a solution. Because I want to be able to pickle my trees even if they have 10,000 nodes in them. (It currently fails at around 200.) (Also, every platform's true recursion limit is different, and I would really like to avoid opening this can of worms.) Is there any way to solve this at the fundamental level? If only the pickle module would pickle using a loop instead of recursion, I wouldn't have had this problem. Maybe someone has an idea how I can cause something like this to happen, without rewriting the pickle module? Any other idea how I can solve this problem will be appreciated.

  Hi, Trying to implement some nested loops that are spitting out good old nested html table data. So the question is; What is the best way to loop through lists and nested lists in order to produce easily maintainable code. It can get quite narly quite fast when working with multiple nested tables or lists. Should I make use of a HTML helper, or make something with the ViewModel to simplify this? A requirement is if there are no children at a node there should be an empty row on that spot with some links for creation and into other parts of the system.

I have javascript function in my aspx page that i call on the onclick event.but on one particular machine it always automatically called on body onload in infinite loop. Though I already remove all the caching and delte the history and temp files. This seems very strange to me .It works fine on all the machine excpt one.   Hi, I am trying to parse an xml file using XmlReader but although I am getting a return from the xml file for the (commission) node for some reason I am getting an empty SimpleXMLElement Object returned as well. I don't know if its something to do with while loop,switch or something I missed in the parse setup.
