• C++ Report alternatives ?

  I came across this recommendation for reading the C++ report magazine. However, when I searched for it, i realized it has become defunct. Can someone please recommend me some other magazine / rss etc which is of the same genre ? I look forward to read more about some of the elusive and other C++ techniques that veterans are using in the field. I came across Dr. Dobb's journal - C++ feeds and I think they're pretty good too. • C# unusual inheritance syntax w/ generics

  I happened upon this in an NHibernate class definition: public class SQLiteConfiguration : PersistenceConfiguration<SQLiteConfiguration> So this class inherits from a base class that is parameterized by... the derived class?   My head just exploded. Can someone explain what this means and how this pattern is useful? (This is NOT an NHibernate-specific question, by the way.)

• Should I define models that will be owned by many different models or use controller and views?

  I am struggling to figure out how to get a relationship between several models. I have sales_leads which I need to view by company and by event. So if someone looks up the leads by company they can see all leads across all events, but also see all leads by event. Not sure if this is ownership versus a where? Should it be something like Company.sales_leads where("event.event_id = ?", "2356") Or Models: sales_lead belongs_to event belongs_to company

  Is it safe to store information such as usernames and passwords within comments in your source code? I am not worried about some getting access to my source but I am concerned in regards to someone decompiling my compiled silverlight XAP file.   I'm learning functional programming with Clojure. What practical excersises can you recommend? Online repositories with solutions would be perfect. One idea I can think of is going through all the popular algorithms on sorting, trees, graphs etc. and implementing them in Clojure myself. While it could work, it may be pretty steep and I'm likely to do it inefficiently (compared to someone who knows what she's doing).

  I'm loading profile pictures from Facebook, cache them on disk and load them into cells of a UITableView. Now I'm wondering, how I can find out when someone has changed his/her profile picture on Facebook that I have to load the new image from the web instead of using the one cached disk. The url of the image is always the same. Is there a lightweight way of doing this without downloading the image and comparing it to the local file?

• Having issues with setting up Inbound Email in SP2010

I have enabled the settings in Central Admin for Inbound Email, set up an MX record, added the IP to my Exchange Server, then created a new doc-lib in SP and i am still not seeing the "Incoming e-mail settings" option under communications in the doc-lib setup screen. Can someone let me know what I may be doing wrong, or missing?

  I was calculating the Fibonacci sequence, and stumbled across this code, which I saw a lot: int Fibonacci (int x) { if (x<=1) { return 1; } return Fibonacci (x-1)+Fibonacci (x-2); } What I don't understand is how it works, especially the return part at the end: Does it call the Fibonacci function again? Could someone step me through this function?
