I'd like to set the default content-type for web pages in my ASP.NET MVC application to text/html.
I know this can be done by adding a ContentType="text/html" to all of my <%Page% elements, but I'd prefer to use the web.config instead. How can I do that?
Thanks,
Adrian
I have read about NSPasteBoard in the Apple documentation, and how it allows for applications to write into the PasteBoard and allow other applications to read that text and use it.
Could someone tell me how to paste text from am application (that sits in the status bar) into a NSTextField that is inside a different application.
What I am trying to do is something similar what Snippet and SnippetsApp do.
If I am completely stupid and missed the obvious in Apple Docs, could you please point me to the right path :)
Thanks!
Is it possible to open and read from a text file in a MYSQL stored procedure? I have a text file with a list of about 50k telephone numbers, and want to write a stored procedure that will open the file, read the 50k lines and store it as rows in a table. I cannot load the file directly using LOAD IN FILE as the table has additional columns that I have to set.
Thanks!
I've used emacs for decades and always wondered, but kept on coding, if there was a way to type in something, them move the cursor and insert the same text, like the VI . command.
Instead what I do is to type the text, set the mark, backup, copy the region, go to the next spot (often just C-n, down one line) and then pre-arg yank, C-u C-y.
It's the overhead of set mark, backup and copy region that makes me just go ahead and retype the thing.
Using C#, say you have a ComboBox that has a DropDownStyle set to DropDown (there are items in the drop down but the user can manually enter a value as well). How do you set a default value for the ComboBox that is not in the list of values in the drop down, but begins with text from a possible selection? Normally setting ComboBox.Text works fine, but if there is an item in the drop down that begins with the text you want as the default, it automatically selects the first item in the list that starts with the text. For example:
Values in the drop down:
c:\program files\
c:\windows\
d:\media\
Default Value Assignment
myComboBox.Text = "C:\";
Result
Initial value of ComboBox when the form opens is "c:\program files\".
So what am I doing wrong? How do I correctly set a default value of an item not in the drop down list that begins with a possible selection?
Using CSS in a UIWebView, how can I make left-to right text flow in a justified manner? What CSS am I looking for?

I want to create something like a leaflet/magazine using Latex. Is it possible to place text on top of an image and style the text freely?

I have persistent object, with a string property that often is over 500 charachters. Google App Engine says I need to save it as a com.google.appengine.api.datastore.Text.
How do I either convert a String type to a com.google.appengine.api.datastore.Text type so I can use a setMethod() on the property, or otherwise get my long sting data into that persistent value?
I just need to parse the wikitext into Perl arrays of hashes. I found several modules. The Text::MediawikiFormat seems to be what I need, but it returns HTML, and I want a Perl data structure. I also looked at:

Convert::Wiki
I have a xml document. I know the index where i need to insert the new node. The index that i have is the position considering only the text nodes and ignoring the element tags. Is there a java api to seek the index in a xml knowing the position relative to the text nodes alone and insert a new node in that position?

Some of the titles of view controllers in my UINavigationController are quite long, which makes the back button in the navigation bar of the next view controller in the hierarchy miss out some of the text, with a "..." instead.
How could I make the text of the back button wrap onto two lines, as with "Now Playing" in the navigation bar of iPod.app?
Thanks!
I'm looking for a SimpleGrepSedPerlOrPythonOneLiner that outputs all quotations in a text.
Example 1:
echo “HAL,” noted Frank, “said that everything was going extremely well.” | SimpleGrepSedPerlOrPythonOneLiner
stdout:
"HAL,"
"said that everything was going extremely well.”
Example 2:
cat MicrosoftWindowsXPEula.txt | SimpleGrepSedPerlOrPythonOneLiner
stdout:
"EULA"
"Software"
"Workstation Computer"
"Device"
"DRM"
etc.
(link to the corresponding text).

[myButton setTitleColor:[UIColor whiteColor] forState:UIControlStateNormal];
[myButton setBackgroundColor:[UIColor blueColor]];
Should that make a button with white text... and a blue background?
It doesn't.

Without using jQuery, what is the best way to limit text entry of a textbox to numbers, lowercase letters and a given set of symbols (for example - and _)? If the user enters an uppercase letter, I would like it to be automatically converted to a lowercase letter, and if the user enters a symbol not within the given set, I would like to be able to instantly show a validation error (show some element adjacent to or below the text box).
What's the cleanest cross-browser way of doing this without the aid of jQuery?
Hi,
On the twitter home page (not logged in), there a scrolling text in the middle below the logo. How is this accomplished? It stops scrolling when mouseover and also has a popup dialog on relevant text.
Thanks,
Mike
