    I have text with file names scattered throughout. The filenames appear in the text like this: |test.txt| |usr01.txt| |usr02.txt| |foo.txt| I want to match the filenames that don't start with usr. I came up with (?<=\|).*\.txt(?=\|) to match the filenames, but it doesn't exclude the ones starting with usr. Is this possible with regular expressions?

    Hi, I'm working on a database program and I noticed that when I'm doing queries with tables that have TEXT/BLOB columns, MySQL will use temp tables and use filesort. I'm not entirely sure when and how this happens, but are there cases where MySQL does not use filesort when there are BLOB/TEXT columns? Like if the sort column is type of VARCHAR() with an index?

I have been using http://regexpal.com/ to test out my expression, and its works as intended there, however in C# its not as expected. Here is a test - an expression of the following: (?=<open>).*?(?=</open>) on an input string of: <open>Text 1 </open>Text 2 <open>Text 3 </open>Text 4 <open>Text 5 </open> I would expect a result back of <open>Text1 <open>Text 2 <open>Text 3... etc However when I do this in C# it only returns the first match of <open>Text1 How do I get all five 'results' back from the Regex?   • Javascript not able to read data generated by ajax script

    I have a situation in which my Jquery Ajax script generates HTML table. And another script is meant to filter the table column by providing a dropdown comprising of unique values in that particular column. If i have static content in html page the filter script works fine. But is not able to read table content when it is generated via Ajax that is during runtime. Any idea what could be the reason. I also tried to align script in order.     Hey! Basically I have a problem in that when certain parameters are used in my calculator app - it makes the result incorrect. The issue is that I have separate text fields for hours and minutes and say for example I have as the start time "13" in one text field and "30" in the other with the finish time "24" and "00" in their respective text fields. The answer should be 10 hours 30 minutes, but the answer I get is 11 hours 30 minutes. I need to "move" the <p> tags to be children to <Text> or know how to suppress the </Text>.     I have a certain text in Java, and I want to use pattern and matcher to extract something from it. This is my program: public String getItemsByType(String text, String start, String end) { String patternHolder; StringBuffer itemLines = new StringBuffer(); patternHolder = start + ".*" + end; Pattern pattern = Pattern.compile(patternHolder); Matcher matcher = pattern.matcher(text); while (matcher.find()) { itemLines.append(text.substring(matcher.start(), matcher.end()) + "\n"); } return itemLines.toString(); } This code works fully WHEN the searched text is on the same line, for instance: String text = "My name is John and I am 18 years Old"; getItemsByType(text, "My", "John"); immediately grabs the text "My name is John" out of the text. However, when my text looks like this: String text = "My name\nis John\nand I'm\n18 years\nold"; getItemsByType(text, "My", "John"); It doesn't grab anything, since "My" and "John" are on different lines. How do I solve this?

    I have four level connected dropdown boxes. I can choose something from second dropdown only after I select something from the first one. The third dropdown is also depended on second one and so on. I need to make selection available in second, third and fourth dropdown, even if there isn't selected anything in previous dropdown, but if the selection is made behave as it behaves now. Am I clear?
