• Sharepoint Blog Category view - Pagination issue...

  Folks, I am facing a rather strange issue. In my Sharepoint Blog, I am not able to view more than 10 posts when I click on the Category filter page. The page only shows the latest 10 posts and when I click on the pagination for the next 10, it simply says that "There are no posts in this category." I tried searching online and some one had a solution to it too, but that is with the Query String (URL) Filter which is not available in MOSS2007 Standard edition... How can I get around this? Any help would be greatly appreciated...

I am wondering if it's anything to do with the threads? But I wouldn't know how to solve it if it was. The complete exception thrown is: The object invoked has disconnected from its clients. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80010108 (RPC_E_DISCONNECTED))

• Problems with jquery selector

  I have a trouble with selecting element attributes with jquery here is my HTML: <a class="myselector" rel="I need this value"></a> <div class="someClass" id="someID"> ...bunch of elements/content <input type="button" name="myInput" id="inputID" title="myInput Title" /> ...bunch of elements/content </div> ...bunch of elements/content Here I'm trying to get the rel value of myselector here is how I tried but its not working : $('#inputID').live('click',function(){ console.log($(this).closest('a.myselector').attr('rel')); }); Also tried this since all is wrapped in wrapper div : $('#inputID').live('click',function(){ console.log($(this).parent('div.wrapper').find('a.myselector').attr('rel')); }); I get undefined value in firebug in both cases, I use live because div#someID is loaded in the document its not there when page first loads. Any advice, how can I get my selector rel value?

• SharePoint 2010 is forcing me to safe PDF when opening from doc library

  I have a document library with a PDF file. Whenever I click on the PDF file, I am prompted to save the file. I do not get the option of opening the file, I am forced to save it. What I want is for the PDF file to open, either in the browser or in a separate Adobe Reader window, depending on the Adobe Reader settings. I'm pretty sure SharePoint is responsible for this behavior, because if I put the PDF on my hard drive, then create a HTML file with a link to the file, it opens in the browser when I click on it. Please note: I looked at this question and did not help. I don't care if the PDF opens in the browser or in a separate Adobe Reader window, I just want it to open.

  Hello I need to navigate between labels with arrow keys like a power point presentation. I have an array with labels and a KeyboardEvent. My problem is, if I am in label number four for example and click in arrow click, always goes to first label. So I need help defining my current label to go to the next on key press. • Is there a good AddIn for Visual Studio that will launch msbuild targets?

  One of the things I like about the Java IDEs out there is that they typically have the ability to allow a user to right-click on an Ant file and run one of the targets. I've got an msbuild file in my solution that is used for migrating the application database, and would kill to be able to right-click on it, select "update" or "rollback" and have it run. My searching has not turned up anything meant to run inside VS2008, just a shell extension for windows explorer. Has anybody seen such an animal out there? Cordially, Jon

• Get the caret position when losing focus in WPF

  I have two textbox's. I have an event setup for the "onLostFocus" of the textbox's. If i finish typing a word into both boxes one after the other all is well. At the point where i click back on the first textbox i want to click halfway through the word (perfectly resonable thing for a user to do). At that point I refresh the whole form and set parameters and all other kinds of whizzery, storing the texbox index and caret position to put everything back the same. Why does it return 0 and not the position where the caret should be halfway between the word?

  Hi All, I'm looking for a generic "Row Picker" for JQuery. We've all seen the cool "Picker" tools like date pickers, color pickers, time pickers, etc, where you click in a text box and a little calendar or color palate or clock or something comes up. You select something (like a date) and the text box is then populated with a value. I really need an all-purpose "row picker" where you can populate something (a table, divs, etc) with some rows of data (say a list of timezones). This would be linked to a text field and would pop up when the user clicks in the field. They would click a row (say a timezone), and the timezone id would be passed back to the field. Anyone know of anything that does this? Thanks!

  I have a div i would like to make clickable. I know i need to make the div (and?) the link have a fixed width and height + display: block. I have an imagine inside of the div. It seems like the 'clickable' div is actually a large transparent link and this click does not play well with images as it doesnt share space. I need to right click the image and hit save as. So how do i make the div clickable. I tried setting the img width and height but it made the img stretch.

When I click the program button (it´s a <p> tag), it´s ok, it shows the table on the div´s. But, when I click the events button, again it shows the program <p> tag contents, and I want to show the events table content. I´ve read de solution for this question on this site, but not happens, when I change my JS file, the content of both <p> tags disapears. Can somebody help me?

• Visual Studio 2010 doesn't want to convert any of my projects

  I've opened up my 2008 solution file for the first time but it only offers to upgrade one of my projects (a database project). All the other projects are ignored. The conversion wizard runs and I see the Welcome screen. I click next. I then see the Ready to Convert screen but it only offers to convert the solution file and the one project. There is no mention of all my other projects. I click Finish and all of my other projects are unavailable. What can I do?

  I want to setup a click event trigger in jQuery for certain anchor tags. I want to open certain links in a new tab while ignoring ones with a certain class (before you ask I cannot put classes on the links I am trying to catch as they come from a CMS). I want to exclude links with class "button" OR "generic_link" I have tried $(".content_box a[class!=button]").click(function (e) { e.preventDefault(); window.open($(this).attr('href')); }); But that doesn't seem to work, also how do I do an OR statement to include "generic_link" in the exclusion? • How is it possible to get the forms mouseposition when clicking inside a control?

  Hi. I have a panel and have added a PictureBox to it. I have added mouse_click listeners to both the panel and the picturebox. When they are clicked i create a messagebox which tells me the mouse position. Problem: When i click the panel, i get the mouse position i want. When i click the pictureBox, i get the current position in that picturebox. What i want: I want both of the controls to get the current mouseposition on the form. I can also go with getting the current mouseposition of the panel, since it is overlaying the form. Does anybody know how i can do this? I've googled around for this, but can't seem to find anything about it. Thank you in advance.

• Blackberry: Simulator stuck up launching through JDE 5.x

  Hi, When i try to build my project in Blackberry JDE 5.0.0.25. It built successfully. And then when i click on Debug menu "Go" button, simulator is launching and stuck up lanching itself forever, does't come up the simulator screen normally and visible with apps showing. When i built the same project in Blackberry JDE 4.7, it built successfully and then click on "Go", launched the simulator normally and showed the app to play with it. Could someone guide me what should be problem? Do i need to set any settings specific to BB JDE 5.x? I have just the basic hello world empty screen in my project, so don't provide any code here. • Custom buttons in MS-Access 2k7

  I'm adding some custom buttons to my forms in MS Access, but somehow I can't make them work. In buttons properties Event tab I've changed 'On Click' event to call 'Event procedure'. Then in VBasic I'm selecting my button and from what I know this code should give me prompt, and if Yos is selected the form should close. But when I click my buttons simply nothing happens. Am I doing something wrong ?   I am looking to do the following Disallow text selection inside of an input element Do not show the cursor carrot inside of an input i cannot simply blur the input on click, focus must remain in the input. There is probably a way to do this in just IE, i would of course rather have a cross browser solution but ill settle for IE (or FF) only solution.   Hi, Im developing a mobile application in dot net Compact framework. I managed to edit the registry HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT so that a click on file with .xyz extension will open my application. basically, i need to do some operation on this file when it's clicked. however, i realise that if i do that the first time, it reaches program.cs at static void Main. but when the program is running and i click on the file with .xyz extension again, it doesnt loads the program static void Main. i tried setting breakpoints at the form that is currently running but still nothing. so where does it go to? how can i detect file .xyz is clicked and do something??

  Hi, I have a requirement of changing an existing JSF 1.1 project where I need to add an additional row to a datatable on click of a button. Currently the datatable loads 3 rows from the backing bean and this new button should add additional rows to the datatable on each click. Using the suggestion provided by http://balusc.blogspot.com/2006/06/using-datatables.html I was able to display the additional row on the UI but I could not save the new data back to the database because the backing bean is in request scope and I cannot change the scope of this bean as it would create other issues. Can somebody provide me a solution to display the new row and also to save the data back to the database when the backing bean is in request scope. Thanks Shyam

• How can web form content be preserved for the back button

  When a web form is submitted and takes the user to another page, it is quite often the case that the user will click the Back button in order to submit the form again (the form is an advanced search in my case.) How can I reliably preserve the form options selected by the user when they click Back (so they don't have to start from scratch with filling the form in again if they are only changing one of many form elements?) Do I have to go down the route of storing the form options in session data (cookies or server-side) or is there a way to get the browser to handle this for me? (Environment is PHP/JavaScript - and the site must work on IE6+ and Firefox2+)

  I'm currently developing a small WebApp that makes use of Google Maps (front-end uses jquery-ui-maps) jQuery Mobile with a fixed header & footer Now I encountered a conflict that appears on touch enabled devices as well as on desktop/mouse controlled "click" events: When I "tap" or "click" the map to actually "pan" it, then my header/footer toggles it's visibility. As I want to keep the toggle behaviour, I can't simply deactivate it, but showing/hiding the header/footer on every "pan" of the map is odd. After thinking some time about it, I think I got a concept that should work: Question: How I can I add a delay to the visibility toggle for the header/footer? So when I don't release the finger/mouse after XYms, the header/footer doesn't show/hide?   In the Script documents that asp.net automatically generates how can I surround the whole generated scripts with try/catch statement to avoid 'Microsoft JScript Compilation error' My issue is: i got a DevExpress control (ASPxGridView) that added and set-up in run time, since i activated the grouping functionality in the grid I still get JS error says ';' expected whenever i use (click) on one of grouping/sorting abilities, I activated script Debugging for IE, in the JS code turns out that there is no missing ';' and once i click ignore for the error msg that VS generates every thing works fine, and surly end-user can't see this msg so i figured out if i try/catch the script that may help avoid this error.
