• SSL in overlay window for login

  HI I have to implement login over SSL in my website. for example cloginForm - this is the form https://www.myweb.com/loginProcess - this is the action which process the form -authenticates user. I am able to do this with usual web form but the problem is the overlay dialog box for login for example if I am on my website home page http://www.myweb.com - notice http and I click a login link there , it shows a small html div with login form (like a litebox).now ,as I am on a non SSL page (http) the data which I post does not get encrypted,and posted to the process action. How do I get around with this so that my overly login also becomes secure. thanks for your help in advance. :)

• How to create a view of table that contains a timestamp column?

  This question is an extension of a previous one I have asked. I have a table (2014_05_31_transformed.Video) with a schema that looks like this. I have put up the JSON returned by the BigQuery API describing it's schema in this gist. I am trying to create a view against this table with an API call that looks like this: { 'view': { 'query': u 'SELECT deleted_mod_time FROM [2014_05_31_transformed.Video]' }, 'tableReference': { 'datasetId': 'latest_transformed', 'tableId': u 'Video', 'projectId': 'redacted' } } But, the BigQuery API is returning this error: HttpError: https://www.googleapis.com/bigquery/v2/projects/124072386181/datasets/latest_transformed/tables?alt=json returned "Invalid field name "deleted_mod_time.usec". Fields must contain only letters, numbers, and underscores, start with a letter or underscore, and be at most 128 characters long." The schema that the BigQuery API does not make any distinction between a TIMESTAMP data type and a regular nullable INTEGER data type, so I can't think of a way to programmatically correct this problem. Is there anything I can do, or is this a bug with BigQuery's view implementation?

• Image in absolute DIV is not positioning from containing DIV

  I have a DIV with position:absolute inside another with position:relative. But the inside DIV is flowing out of the other and positioning it self based on the browser not the containing DIV. Any ideas why this is happening?   I've found three ways of instantiating a Singleton, but I have doubts as to whether any of them is the best there is. I'm using them in a multi-threaded environment and prefer lazy instantiation. There is also the Enum version, but I just don't get it. The question here is - in which cases I should/shouldn't use any of these variations? I'm not looking for lengthy explanations though (there's plenty of other topics about that, but they all eventually turn into arguing IMO), I'd like it to be understandable with few words.

• SSL certificate error with Weblogic in Internet Explorer

  I have a Weblogic server installed and a site. The SSL port is 7002 When I try to access a secure page ex https://localhost:7002/site in Internet Explorer I get a certificate error. Clicking the continue to website does not do anything. In chrome, I get the opton to "Ignore Anyway" and I can continue to see the page. But in Internet explorer I having no such luck. Not sure what I am doing wrong. I am using the default certificates that come wih weblogic installation. I have not generated any private keys or certificates. Any help appreciated.

  Hi all, I made a private API that assumes that the address of the first member-object in the class will be the same as the class's this-pointer... that way the member-object can trivially derive a pointer to the object that it is a member of, without having to store a pointer explicitly. Given that I am willing to make sure that the container class won't inherit from any superclass, won't have any virtual methods, and that the member-object that does this trick will be the first member object declared, will that assumption hold valid for any C++ compiler, or do I need to use the offsetof() operator (or similar) to guarantee correctness? • Top navigation link in Magento that I can't get rid of

  I'm working on a new theme for an existing Magento installation, and I've got a rogue link. The last guy apparently decided to hard code a link to the AW Blog extension he was using in the top navigation. See here: derm2go.com - link is "articles".   Hi, i will be sending a POST request to login.php on my server from an iphone app over HTTPS. The POST is created using NSMutableURLRequest. Is there an example of a PHP script to process this POST on my server. The POST isn't sent as a form as such , anyway not that i think it is. Not sure how NSMutableURLRequest formats this. I just need to know how to access the POST data on the server with the php script. All the examples ive seen regarding php scripts processing POSTS seem to be do with forms. So how do i process this?   My Subversion repository is available over HTTPS. I've got a self-signed CA root certificate, and the server uses a certificate signed with that. The CA root certificate is stored in Trusted Root Certification Authorities, which means that (for example) Internet Explorer recognises it. AnkhSVN, on the other hand, reports "There are some problems with this server's certificate". So: what is AnkhSVN using as its certificate store? It doesn't appear to be the Windows one. And how do I put my CA root certificate in there?

But now I got to a state, where I need to make a complex custom raw SQL query, that without a LIMIT will return about 100K records. How can I use Django Pagintor with custom query? How can I make my custom manager behave similar like built in one?

  This is part rant part question. The rant is: I am so confused with Google Wallet/Checkout/InApp/Store/blah blah blah.. And, I find it incredibly difficult to not only login but to navigate my way around. Logging in is a quest in itself, I often find myself logging into Google Wallet, but I need the Sell/Merchant site usually. Enough Rant Can someone please tell me how to find my PostBack Url setting for an InApp Google Wallet purchase verification? Right now I'm logged into wallet.google.com/merchant and I swear this setting is no where to be found. • Approaches to replace cursor in pure AS3 / Flare project?

  Hi there good lookin, I've got a pure AS3 (no Flex) project that uses Flare to display and interact with a data visualization. I just implemented some panning behavior, so you can click and drag the visualization around, and now I'd like to give the user a visual indicator that this is possible, by switching the arrow cursor with a nice grabby-looking hand icon. The user can click and drag at any time except when the mouse is over a clickable node (at which time the cursor swaps to a pointer - this behavior is already in place). So... 1) Do I need to create my own custom bitmap/sprite or is there a palette of built-in cursors I can use? (I'm not using Flex.) 2) Is there a way to simply replace the default arrow with the pan cursor project-wide, or do I need to attach the swapping to mouse events on display objects? Can I use the stage object to make this behavior apply everywhere? 3) How do I perform the swap? Do I use the Cursor object directly or do I need to get involved with the CursorManager? Any guidance, pseudo-code, or words of wisdom is greatly appreciated!

• session is lost after successful login?

  greetings all um using spring security 3.0.2,all the application pages are secured to see them you must be authenticated um using https protocol i have a strange problem that after successful login and got to the requested page when try to open any link to other pages in the application the session is invalidated or lost or what happened i don't know and the user become anonymous,and redirected to the login page and i got this from debugging: No HttpSession currently exists No SecurityContext was available from the HttpSession: null. A new one will be created. after reviewing the coe many times,nothing in the code is invalidating the session,any ideas why something like this might happen?

  This guide from apple https://developer.apple.com/iphone/prerelease/library/documentation/UserExperience/Conceptual/TableView_iPhone/TableViewCells/TableViewCells.html (you need login) explains how to use "The Technique for Static Row Content" to use Interface Builder to setup the cells in a tableview. I have some cells with different heights in my tableview. Without using the heightForRowAtIndexPath method everything get messed up. Do I still need to use this method or can I in some way setup the height of the cells inside the IB as I created them there? Also when using the "The Technique for Static Row Content" from the guide you still need to use the cellForRowAtIndexPath to setup the cells even if they are created in IB. I would like to setup the full layout of the tableview with all cells in IB (drag the cells right into the tableview), is that possible in some way? Thanks!

  How do you log messages to a log file in a specific path from a bash script? A naive implementation would be commands like: echo My message >>/my/custom/path/to/my_script.log But this probably has many disadvantages (no log rotation for example). I could use the 'logger' command, but it does not support logs in custom paths as far as I know and is not easy to configure if you have lots of bash scripts that could use a custom log file. In a scripting language like Ruby all this is quite easy: https://github.com/rudionrails/yell/wiki/101-the-datefile-adapter I could also make my own logger command based on this ruby library and call it from my bash scripts, but I guess there is already a well known solution that provides similar behavior for shell scripts?

  I just started using tests. I try to test the login like this require 'test_helper' class UserFlowsTest < ActionController::IntegrationTest fixtures :all # Replace this with your real tests. test "login and browse" do https! get "/users/new" assert_response :success post "/user_sessions", :email => '[email protected]', :password => 'aaaa' follow_redirect! assert_equal root_path, path end end I use authlogic gem in my rails app. What is wrong with this test? It breaks at 'follow_redirect!' saying it is not a redirection but login through a browser works. Thx!
