I have an old Moto Q that I would like to change the default alarm sound in the Calendar function. Right now, it seems to pick up the Alarm4.mid file in the Windows directory, which is embedded in ROM, so the filenames can't be changed. Is there a way to change the file pointer in the Calendar function to another file or is there another way to get around this?
I am aware of this question, but it is a bit old now, and some of the answers seem outdated.
Question: please write one answer per GUI you have used, including pros and cons (for example, as far as I can tell, with git gui, you can't manage the stash).
I need to find a way of taking a hibernate object and discovering at runtime all of the getter methods that relate to persistable fields. I'm using annotations in the classes but have previously had difficulties working with them (I ran into a 2 year old bug the java developers still haven't fixed).
Does anyone know how I can do this please, ideally without using annotations? Thanks.
PS - What I'm trying to do here is to update a new object with values from an existing object dynamically.
jquery ui tabs supports loading content through ajax here but if i have already loaded previous content and i click on it again, it stays on the old content until the new content is fully loaded
is there anyway to clear the content right when you click the tab so its clear that a new set of content is loading. I see there is a load event but this fires after the new content is loaded. i need a beforeload event or something like that
any suggestions?
I've tweaked my code in Xcode after Shark complained about some performance bottlenecks. However, Sharp seems to cache that code and keeps showing me old aged stuff. Even after several builds and re-tries. Probably I must activate some fancy function that says "never cache anything" like in web browsers?
hi
i m working on matlab GUI. in GUI axis button i placed some concentric circles. now i want to place one map on the same axis. then on that map i want to draw my concentric circles.
my map shouldnt disturb my old events. plzzzzzzzzzzzzz find me one good solution.
For example, preparing a launch screen of 320 x 480 would have to be changed....
How is that going to work for us? Are programmers always going to have to be submitting a high-res that will be scaled down for old devices such as the iphone 3g?
in recent weeks, i am not able to build my visual studio 2008 project in release mode.
i am using the same old project and the same source file, but when compiling on release mode, visual studio hangs on the linking stage. i am using c++ and win32 SDK
how did it happen and what should i do to resolve this?
Hey,
I'm working on some old(ish) software in PHP that maintains a $cache array to reduce the number of SQL queries. I was thinking of just putting memcached in its place and I'm wondering whether or not to get rid of the internal caching. Would there still be a worthwihle performance increase if I keep the internal caching, or would memcached suffice?
I'm using the WindowsAPICodePack's TaskDialog implementation, but it bugs me that I have to listen to click handlers on its buttons for even the more basic implementations. I'd like to convert/wrap it so that like the old MessageBox it blocks until closed and then returns a value based on what was done. Is there anything I can read for the basics on how to do this? I just have no idea where to even start, as I am admittedly not that familiar with the Win32 underpinnings.
I know.. I know, it's only a few hours old.
But how the hell do you get the little page tabbing/cycle (forgot what the official name is) on the top of the page under the app title.
MIX Keynotes made it look like it was a control (or at least what I saw, was @ work).
Anyone who made MIX or knows how they are doing this, it'd be cool to get an answer.
Thanks!
I am planning to build a JS based twitter client. Information about libraries/clients is pretty old on other SO Questions. I was wondering if anyone has come across wrappers other than Spaz and TwitterHelper.
Thanks :-)
Hi, im trying to sort my transformed output by a element which contains a hex value.
<xsl:sort select="Generation/Sirio/Code" data-type="number"/>
Values are plain old Hex: 00 01 02 ... 0A ... FF but they are getting sorted like that: 0A FF 00 01 02, which indicates the sorting method fails as soon as there are character involved.
How can i work around this?
Thank you very much!
Java is striving to be backward compatible. It is to such an extent that it crippled its generics for that (off-topic).
But are there situations when old code would not compile on newer versions (more importantly Java 5, and the forthcoming Java 7)
How do you sketch out your iPhone App designs and ideas? I am currently about to start my next project and want to find a way to get my ideas on screen instead of good old fashioned paper.
For example, preparing a launch screen of 320 x 480 would have to be changed....
How is that going to work for us? Are programmers always going to have to be submitting a high-res that will be scaled down for old devices such as the iphone 3g?
I have a client who wants to transition off their old environment into .NET.
The client has a good grounding in basic OO concepts (their existing development environment supports this) and are expert developers, but need a quick "up to speed" introduction to the .NET framework (C# as the chosen language) for building Line of Business applications (they're keen on Silverlight).
Any recommendations?
Hi,
I had a problem where I was using the hibernate template to do most of my DB work but I had a part of the system that directly accessed the session to do batch persisting. I noticed that the hibernate template session was old and would be storing cached values which didnt take into account the objects save with the session directly.
What are the drawbacks of using alwaysUseNewSession? This fixes the problem as I always get up-to-date objects.
Thanks.
Hello!
I haven't got GL_GENERATE_MIPMAP_HINT, GL_GENERATE_MIPMAP constatns, why ? I have old version of opengl ? Where can I download new library version ?
Based on a college-project I'm trying to realize a relatively simple game (Poker) where an iPad acts as Server and multiple iPod-Touchs connect to it as Clients.
Gamekit seems to drop out, since those old ipod-touch-devices don't have bluetooth-support.
Are there already some Frameworks out there simplifying the process, or do I have to fall back on TCP-Streaming-Sockets and implement it myself?
hi every1. i have created a fb app that publishes my blog postings on my fb fan page. problem is when someone clicks the topic on the fan page it loads it on the same window instead of a blank new one. anyone knows how I can overcome this. i am using the old FB PHP REST client.
I have a client with 5000 emails from an old list he has that he wants to promote his services to. He wants to know which emails on the list are still valid. I want to check them for him - without sending out 5K emails randomly and then being listed as a spammer or something. Ideas?

I have noticed a lot of the use of @Override in Android example code. I thought that all Java methods were by default "Virutal"?
What then does @Override do?
Example:
private class HelloWebViewClient extends WebViewClient {
@Override
public boolean shouldOverrideUrlLoading(WebView view, String url) {
view.loadUrl(url);
return true;
}
}
