    For the warehouse work under progress, we have a single solution with multiple projects in it OLTP Database Project Warehouse Database Project SSIS ETL project After the SSIS project is built, I want to move the binaries (XML, really) from the Bin folder to "C:\AutomatedTasks\ETL.Warehouse\" and "C:\AutomatedTasks\ETL" I cannot find the Post-Build events to do that for the SSIS project. Where are they? If they aren't available, how do I achieve this?

  • Distinguish between screen timeout and power-button-press?

    Hi, my app does something when the screen goes black, but I want it to only carry out that task if the screen was turned off "by itself", through a screen timeout - NOT when the user presses the power-button. Is there any way to distinguish between those two events? ACTION_SCREEN_OFF obviously fires in both cases, and I haven't found any other intents that might match what I'm looking for. However i cant call MouseDoubleClick, only add/remove events to the chain. How do i call MouseDoubleClick/OnMouseDoubleClick? ATM i workaround the problem since i know the objects MouseDoubleClick function and i pass in the parameters myself calling that specific function. I've heard that this is possible by using a hook but the only examples I can find are based on mouse/keyboard events. What is an example link of how I can create such a hook in C#? Oh and btw: Nope, I don't want to use WMI which could be a solution as well but it's not an option in my case.

  • Any guidelines for handling the Headset and Bluetooth AVRC transport controls in Android 2.2

    I am trying to figure out what is the correct (new) approach for handling the Intent.ACTION_MEDIA_BUTTON in Froyo. In pre 2.2 days we had to register a BroadcastReceiver (either permanently or at run-time) and the Media Button events would arrive, as long as no other application intercepts them and aborts the broadcast. Froyo seems to still somewhat support that model (at least for the wired headset), but it also introduces the registerMediaButtonEventReceiver, and unregisterMediaButtonEventReceiver methods that seem to control the "transport focus" between applications. During my experiments, using registerMediaButtonEventReceiver does cause both the bluetooth and the wired headset button presses to be routed to the application's broadcast receiver (the app gets the "transport focus"), but it looks like any change in the audio routing (for example unplugging the headset) shits the focus back to the default media player. What is the logic behind the implementation in Android 2.2? What is correct way to handle transport controls? Do we have to detect the change in the audio routing and try to re-gain the focus? This is an issue that any 3rd party media player on the Android platform has to deal with, so I hope that somebody (probably a Google Engineer) can provide some guidelines that we can all follow.   • WP7 - Cancelling ContextMenu click event propagation

    I'm having a problem when the Silverlight toolkit's ContextMenu is clicked while it is over a UIElement that has registered a Tap event GestureListener. The context menu click propagates to the underlying element and fires its tap event. For instance, say I have a ListBox and each ListBoxItem within it has registered both a ContextMenu and a Tap GestureListener. Assume that clicking context menu item2 is supposed to take you to Page1.xaml, while tapping on any of ListBox items themselves is supposed to take you to Page2.xaml. If I open the context menu on item1 in the ListBox, then context menu item2 is on top of ListBox item2. When I click on context menu item2 I get weird behavior where the app navigates to Page1.xaml and then immediately to Page2.xaml because the click event also triggered the Tap gesture for ListBox item2. I've verified in the debugger that it is always the context menu that receives the click event first. How do I cancel the context menu item click's routed event propagation so it doesn't reach ListBox item2? Thanks for your help!

  • Correct way to create a menu with shortcuts in WPF

    What is the correct/best way to create a menu with hotkey shortcuts? I simply want a File menu like Visual Studio's that has New, Open, Save, Save All, Exit, and a few other standard shortcuts. It seems that InputGestureText displays the appropriate text, but since it's called "Text" and doesn't seem to trigger events, I'm going to assume that isn't the right way to do it. The Command architecture also seems fairly bulky, so I don't want to head down that path if there is a better way.

  • What do you call a generalized (non-GUI-related) "Model-View-Controller" architecture?

    I am currently refactoring code that coordinates multiple hardware components for data acquisition, and feeling a bit like I'm recreating the wheel. In particular, an MVC-like pattern seems to be emerging. Except, this has nothing to do with a GUI and I'm worried that I'm forcing this particular pattern where another might be more appropriate. Here's my scenario: Individual hardware "component" classes obey interface contracts for each hardware type. Previously, component instances were orchestrated by a single monolithic InstrumentController class, which relied heavily on configuration + branching logic for executing a specific acquisition sequence. After an iteration, I have a separate controller for each component, with these controllers all managed by a small InstrumentControllerBase (or its derivatives). The composite system will receive "input" either programmatically or via inter-hardware component triggering - in either case these interactions are routed to, and handled by, the appropriate controller. So, I have something that feels MVC-esque, but I don't know if that's because I'm forcing the point. With little direct MVC experience in application development, it's hard to know if I'm just trying to make my scenario fit MVC, where another pattern might be a good alternative or complimentary. My problem is, search results and wiki documentation of these family of patterns seems to immediately drop me into GUI-specific discussions. I understand "M means Model data and the V means View" - but do you call the superset pattern? Component-Commander-Controller? Whence can I exhume examples exemplary?
