• Drupal JSON POST from PhoneGap

  I am trying to send a POST request to Drupal's Services module & JSON_Server module, however I am getting { "#error": true, "#data": "Invalid method " } Since PhoneGap runs html files from locally on the phone, should i need to worry about JSONP. The issue I have with that is that I must POST data, and JSONP only allows for GET. Any ideas would be helpful. I can get the operating system "Name" as well as the "Version", both are fields of the Win32_OperatingSystem object I have.   The code below is intended to enable the submit button once the user clicks in the textarea field. It works, but I'm trying to also make it so that it's only enabled if there's at least one character in the field.   I'm getting the following error in Xcode 3.2.1 on Snow Leopard 10.6.2 whenever I try to compile any iPhone application generated by Appcelerator's Titanium . However , the build error only appears when I select iPhone simulator on the architecture menu , and if I select iPhone device , I am able to run the app on my device . Further , the iPhone simulator launches successfully and executes the program directly from the Titanium environment , which uses Xcode to build .   Is it possible to scroll to a particular row (by object identity) in a Silverlight DataGrid that has an ItemsSource which is a PagedCollectionView. I am loading a list of orders that are grouped by day/status etc. I need to be able to scroll to a particular order. var pcv = new PagedCollectionView(e.Result.Orders); gridOrders.ItemsSource = pcv; Unfortunately ScrollIntoView(order) doesn't work because of the PagedCollectionView. An article on DataGrid from MSDN shows that it is possible to scroll to a group in a PagedCollectionView, but that's not really much use. foreach (CollectionViewGroup group in pcv.Groups) { dataGrid1.ScrollIntoView(group, null); dataGrid1.CollapseRowGroup(group, true); } Is there a way to do this ?

  It seems the java.net.NetworkInterface implementation of android does not have a byte[] getHardwareAddress() method http://developer.android.com/reference/java/net/NetworkInterface.html I've found several forums of people trying to do this with no definitive answer, I need to get a somewhat cross-device UUID, so I can't rely on phone numbers or in ANDROID_ID (which can be overwritten and which I think depends on the user having a google account) http://developer.android.com/reference/android/provider/Settings.Secure.html#ANDROID_ID In linux you can use ifconfig or read from /proc/net/arp and you can easily get the Hardware address. Is there a file in android that I can read? There has to be a way to get this address since it's shown in the "Settings About Phone Status" of the phone.

• Removing offline/defunct files in SQL server 2008

  How to remove traces of files marked as OFFLINE or DEFUNCT in Microsoft SQL server 2008? I have been playing around with a setup where I create a database with 3 file-groups which are: Primary, FileGroupData and FileGroupIndex. The clustered index is using FileGroupData and a non-clustered index is set to use FileGroupIndex. To simulate a disk failure I've shut down SQL server and manually deleted the files in index file-group. To start the database I'll mark the files 'OFFLINE', but after that I can't delete the index files, which are now offline. I don't have backup of the files as they are merely indices, but that has the implication that I can't restore the files and have their status as "ONLINE". How would you recommend removing the files and the file-group as they still show up in management studio under files/file-groups. Management studio is not able to delete them. I get the recommended viewport for the country but when I want to fit the map to this viewport, it does not work (see the bounds before and after calling the fitBounds function in the code below). What am I doing wrong?   I have a DispatcherTimer running in my code that fire every 30 seconds to update system status from the server. The timer fires in the client even if I'm debugging my server code so if I've been debugging for 5 minutes I may end up with a dozen timeouts in the client. Finally decided I needed to fix this so looking to make a more async / await friendly DispatcherTimer. Code running in DispatcherTimer must be configurable whether it is reentrant or not (i.e. if the task is already running it should not try to run it again) Should be task based (whether or not this requires I actually expose Task at the root is a gray area) Should be able to run async code and await on tasks to complete Whether it wraps or extends DispatcherTimer probably doesn't really matter but wrapping it may be slightly less ambiguous if you don't know how to use it Possibly expose bindable properties for IsRunning for UI

When i create a new object for CustomerMaster and trying to update the fields using TryUpdateModel, it is not updating. But the TryUpdateModel is working fine on the Edit Profile Page and that particular record is referenced.   Hi: This is a strange problem I encountered. I have an window application written in c# to do testing. It has a MDI parent form that is hosting a few children forms. One of the forms launch test cripts by creating processes and capture the scripts output to a text box. Another form open serial port and monitoring the status of the device I am working on(like a shell). If I ran both of them together, the output of the script seems only appear in the text box after the test is done. However, If I don't open the serial port form, the output of the script is captured in real time. Does anyone knows what's causing the problem? I notice the onDataReceived even handler for serial port form has a [SAThread] header to it. Will this cause the serial port thread having higher priority than other processes? Thanks in advance.

The target computer is a Core2 Quad desktop running Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit. It does not help to disable Norton 360 on the source computer or Norton Antivirus 2008 on the target computer. • C# Sleep for 500 milliseconds

  could you please tell me how do i go about pausing my program for 500 milliseconds and then continue? i read thread.sleep(50) is not good as it holds up the GUI thread. using a timer it fires a callback .. i just want to wait 500 and then continue to the next statement. please advise. EDIT: i need to display a status bar message for 500 and then update the message with a different one. sorry i meant 500 not 50.

  After browsing the MVC section on CodePlex I noticed that the [Authorize] attribute in MVC returns a HttpUnauthorizedResult() when authorization fails (codeplex AuthorizeAttribute class). In the source of HttpUnauthorizedResult() from CodePlex is the code (I'm not allowed to enter another URL as my rep isn't high enough, but replace the numbers on the URL above with 22929#266476): // 401 is the HTTP status code for unauthorized access - setting this // will cause the active authentication module to execute its default // unauthorized handler context.HttpContext.Response.StatusCode = 401; In particular, the comment describes the authentication module's default unauthorized handler. I can't seem to find any information on this default unauthorized handler. In particular, I'm not using FormsAuthentication and when authorization fails I get an ugly IIS 401 error page. Does anyone know about this default unauthorized handler, and in particular how FormsAuthentication hooks itself in to override it? I'm writing a really simple app for my football team who confirm or deny whether they can play a particular match. If I enable FormsAuthentication in the web.config the redirect works, but I'm not using FormsAuthentication and I'd like to know if there's a workaround.

  Hi, I'm new to Windows device driver programming. I know that certain operations can only be performed at IRQL PASSIVE_LEVEL. For example, Microsoft have this sample code of how to write to a file from a kernel driver: if (KeGetCurrentIrql() != PASSIVE_LEVEL) return STATUS_INVALID_DEVICE_STATE; Status = ZwCreateFile(...); My question is this: What is preventing the IRQL from being raised after the KeGetCurrentIrql() check above? Say a context or thread swithch occurs, couldn't the IRQL suddenly be DISPATCH_LEVEL when it gets back to my driver which would then result in a system crash? If this is NOT possible then why not just check the IRQL in the DriverEntry function and be done with it once for all?

like PersonalInfo,contactInfo,Address there will be only one record, but for tags like "OtherInfo","academicInfo","ProfessionalInfo" there will be multiple records so in xml there are tags for that. records... i am not able to find any solution /control using which i an do it easily. coz my field's value is in attribute named "Value" when in the examples i saw its between opening and closing tag.. i have 2 methods to do so. 1 . i make one page to edit a single record and pass id of record to that page on editing. open the page in iframe on same page to edit and in page_load get data from database for id passed and fill it in control. 2 . i store xml on server as physical file and use it in page i opened in iframe to edit the record. so i am confused... can anybody please guide me that what shpould i do to let user provide interface to edit this xml data/user profile ?

• mySQL auto increment problem: Duplicate entry '4294967295' for key 1

  I have a table of emails. The last record in there for an auto increment id is 3780, which is a legit record. Any new record I now insert is being inserted right there. However, in my logs I have the occasional: Query FAIL: INSERT INTO mail.messages (timestamp_queue) VALUES (:time); Array ( [0] => 23000 [1] => 1062 [2] => Duplicate entry '4294967295' for key 1 ) Somehow, the autoincrement jumped up to the INT max of 4294967295 Why on god's green earth would this get jumped up so high? I have no inserts with an id field. The show status for that table, Auto_increment table now reads: 4294967296 How could something like this occur? I realize the id field should perhaps be a big int, but the worry I have is that somehow this thing jumps back up. Josh
