  • How do I most efficienty check the unique elements in a list?

    let's say I have a list li = [{'q':'apple','code':'2B'}, {'q':'orange','code':'2A'}, {'q':'plum','code':'2A'}] What is the most efficient way to return the count of unique "codes" in this list? In this case, the unique codes is 2, because only 2B and 2A are unique. I could put everything in a list and compare, but is this really efficient?

  • Servlet as Proxy via https

    Hi i tried to implement a servlet with servlet (in tomcat 6) which act as as a proxy (for browser), it takes the parsed url, use apache httpclient to get the result & push it back to the client (browser), with http it works well, doesnt work with https , seems the problem concerns unsupported CONNECT method in servlet-api & servlet even doesn't see the request is there any solution/workaround for this? thanx in advanced

  • stick button to bottom of element

    Is there any way to stick child button element to bottom of parent element when number of child elements vary? Parent element is fixed height, and could be scrolled vertically in case of child overflow. In that case, button should be at the end of child list, but in case there is no children, or children size don't push parent element to overflow, it should be at bottom of parent element. Is there pure css solution for this? Thanks

The other weird thing is that when i push the cell, the didSelectRowAtIndexPath:indexPath method isn't called.

    According to the Apple guideline , seems it is confusing, e.g. for method viewWithTag In Java, I would have a method called getViewByTag // Java version, equivalent to viewWithTag in Obj-C But I also found there are some method like objectForKey, so why not just use objectWithKey instead? getObjectByKey or just get // Java version, equivalent to objectForKey, // but why not objectWithKey? Or not viewForKey above?

  • Highlight table view cells when user drags across rows

    I have a grouped table view that does not need to scroll. I'd like each cell to highlight as the user moves their finger down the screen and call didSelectRowAtIndexPath on release. This behaviour can be seen done by apple in 'settings mail add account'? I can't seem to replicate it myself, all I can get is the default, where the cell deselects as soon as the user moves their finger.

I would like to use the default keyboard but want the numbers & symbols to be shown by default as apposed to letters.   • JS Split ( ) to check if substring exists in Array

    I have an array of products that are stored as Strings in this format productname:quantity. The issue I am running into is that if a user adds one product with a quantity of x it is inserted into the array as it should. However, if they then decide to add more of a particular product a new entry is made into the array instead of checking if the product already exists and adjusting the quantity to the new value. oldQty + newQty. For example this is my array: ["CBL202659/A:1","OUTER9:1","PALLET CARDS:1"] If I add another PALLET CARDS product it creates a new entry rather than updating the quantity of the existing item to 2.     I get it: When a managed object context saves, the snapshots of all edited objects are compared against the values in the persistent store to see if the PS has changed since the snapshot was made. If it did change, then there's a conflict and optimistic locking failed, according to Apple. But now, what's the consequence of this? What happens next? What are my options in this case?
