  • Is there a reliable way to activate / set focus to a window using C#?

    Hey everyone, I'm trying to find a reliable way to activate / set focus a window using C#. Currently I'm attempting to achieve this using the following Windows API calls: SetActiveWindow(handle); SwitchToThisWindow(handle, true); Previously I also had ShowWindow(handle, SW_SHOWMAXIMIZED); executing before the other 2, but removed it because it was causing strange behavior. The problem I'm having with my current implementation is that occasionally the focus will not be set correctly. The window will become visible but the top part of it will still appear grayed out as if it wasn't in focus. Is there a way to reliably do this which works 100% of the time, or is the inconsistent behavior a side-effect I can't escape? Please let me know if you have any suggestions or implementations that always work. Thank you for your time.

I understand why it has such behavior, but how to solve it? In my code I can't set click event for #d1 after $("#cont").html($("#cont").html().replace(/text/g, "letter")) because I don't now at execution time if event was set. You can try example on JSBin

  • How do I set up the Clojure classpath in Emacs after installing with ELPA?

    I'm trying to add paths to my classpath in the Clojure REPL that I've set up in Emacs using ELPA. Apparently, this isn't the $CLASSPATH environment variable, but rather the swank-clojure-classpath variable that Swank sets up. Because I used ELPA to install Swank, Clojure, etc., there are a ton of .el files that take care of everything instead of my .emacs file. Unfortunately, I can't figure out how to change the classpath now. I've tried using (setq 'swank-clojure-extra-classpaths (list ...)) both before and after the ELPA stuff in my .emacs, and I've tried adding paths directly to swank-clojure-classpath in .emacs, .emacs.d/init.el, and .emacs.d/user/user.el, but nothing works. What I'm ultimately trying to do is to add both the current directory "." and the directory in which I keep my Clojure programs. I'm assuming swank-clojure-classpath is the thing I need to set here.   • How to set utf8 in the auto-generated PHP code of flash builder 4 ?

    HI, PHP problem here (I think): I've just created a Flex (Flash Builder) project with a datagrid linked to a database - the database is all utf8. When I run the project using the auto-generated code in flex4, the non-English part comes like ????? while the English part comes fine. The auto-generated PHP code uses mysqli. I've tried: $this->connection->set_charset('utf8'); or mysqli_query($this->connection,"SET NAMES utf8"); I also tried writing the code myself (I'm not a PHP guy): mysql_query("set names utf8"); was fine - but that's mysql and not mysqli (that's an "i" after the mysql) and I want to use the auto-generated code... any help is appreciated.

    I've messed with Access a little bit in the past, had one class on OO theory, and one class on console c++ apps. Now, as a hobby project, I'm undertaking to write an actual app, which will be a database app using System.Data.SQLite and C#. I have the db's table structure planned. I have System.Data.SQLite installed and connected to VS Pro. I entered my tables and columns in VS, but that's where I'm stuck. I really don't know how to finish the db set up so I can start creating queries and testing the db structure. Can someone give me guidance to online resources that will help me learn how to get the db properly set up so I can proceed with testing it? I'm hoping for online resources specific to beginners using C# and System.Data.SQLite, but I'll use the closest I can get. Thanks.

    If I'm inserting content into a textarea that TinyMCE has co-opted, what's the best way to set the position of the cursor/caret? I'm using tinyMCE.execCommand("mceInsertRawHTML", false, content); to insert the content, and I'd like set the cursor position to the end of the content. Both document.selection and myField.selectionStart won't work for this, and I feel as though this is going to be supported by TinyMCE (through something I can't find on their forum) or it's going to be a really ugly hack. Later: It gets better; I just figured out that, when you load TinyMCE in WordPress, it loads the entire editor in an embedded iframe. Later (2): I can use document.getElementById('content_ifr').contentDocument.getSelection(); to get the selection as a string, but not a Selection Object that I can use getRangeAt(0) on. Making progress little by little.

    I'm trying to set tab stops in latex in the tabbing environment. My problem is that I want to set a tab stop after a number of whitespaces. The problem is that latex of course ignores multiple whitespaces, and it seems to only support setting tab stops after actual text. I'm trying to create something like this: A -> B CD -> A The problem is that the extra space after the 'A' is ignored for the purposes of setting the tab stop.

    I am trying to figure out how I want to handle settings in my PHP app. I have pretty much decide that I would like to use a Confg class file so it will be autoloaded and flexible in the future. Below is some stuff I was playing with. I know you cannot set a variable to popluate a Constant so I then try to use a public static property.     Is there a technical reason why IOS requires the device's domain-name to be set (via ip domain-name) before an SSH key can be generated? Is the domain-name used in any way in the generation of the key? Is there any way to force the generation of a key before the domain name is set? UPDATE: Myself (before I posted this question) and others in your answer seem to think it may be used as either a salt or a source of entropy for the key. Wouldn't the domain-name be very predictable? This doesn't seem like a suitable source of entropy.

I'm aware of the PrintDialog class to get a PrintQueue and PrintTicket object. However I need to create I custom solution and can not show the PrintDialog. I manage to get the available PrintQueue objects and let users select a printer. I'm struggling with the printer properties. My question is: how can I show the dialog in which a user can set the printer properties for the selected PrintQueue (the dialog that is shown when a user clicks on the Properties button in the WPF PrintDialog).

However, in many (most) cases, working sets are used to define a set of resources. In case these elements can be seen as resources (e.g. IJavaProject), is there a universal (or formal) way to programatically translate these elements to resources? Eventually, I need to determine whether a given resource is in a working set, so an answer in that direction is acceptable as well.

    I have a Java application which is using a certain Java Runtime Environment. The application uses it's own launcher to startup the java virtual machine. No use of the java.exe, javaw.exe, javaws.exe binaries is being made -- as the application seems to have it's own launcher which is a different executable. This custom launcher is using the rest of the JRE files, such as bin/client/jvm.dll and rt.jar package etc. Now, the problem is that I want to set a boot class path for this custom launcher. The custom launcher does not support the -Xbootclasspath command line parameter, like the default java.exe does. Is there any way for me to set the boot class path now for this java runtime environment? Thanks in advance.     Hello, I got a problem which I do not know how to solve: I have a set of sets A = {A_1, A_2, ..., A_n} and I have a set B. The target now is to remove as few elements as possible from B (creating B'), such that, after removing the elements for all 1 <= i <= n, A_i is not a subset of B'. For example, if we have A_1 = {1,2}, A_2 = {1,3,4}, A_3={2,5}, and B={1,2,3,4,5}, we could e.g. remove 1 and 2 from B (that would yield B'={3,4,5}, which is not a superset of one of the A_i). Does anybody know an algorithm for determining the (minimal number of) elements to be removed?

    I am trying to set Apache environment variables (for use in PHP) with the [E=VAR:VAL] flag on RewriteRule rules in an .htaccess file. I have already discovered the variables are accessed in PHP as server variables $_SERVER rather than $_ENV (which makes a certain amount of sense). However, my problem is for some rules the [E=VAR:VAL] flag works as expected and I end up with a variable $_SERVER['VAR'] but for other rules I end with a variable $_SERVER['REDIRECT_VAR'] or $_SERVER['REDIRECT_REDIRECT_VAR'], etc A. What causes an Environment Variable set in Apache using the [E=VAR:VAL] flag to get renamed by having "REDIRECT_" appended to the front of the variable name? B. What can I do to make sure I end up with an Environment Variable with an unchanged name so I can access it in PHP as $SERVER['VAR'] without having to resort to checking for variations of the variable name having one of more instances of "REDIRECT" appended to the front of it?

Can I set some properties in OnExecuting so I don't have to do it for all Actions? I want to then display the string value of the property in all my view pages. If yes, how can I do this? I need to hook into the base view data somehow? so i'll have: public MyViewData : ViewData { } And I need one for generics also?
