    I want all my views to inherit from a baseview data so I can set some shared properties that all my views will need. Can I set some properties in OnExecuting so I don't have to do it for all Actions? I want to then display the string value of the property in all my view pages. If yes, how can I do this? I need to hook into the base view data somehow? so i'll have: public MyViewData : ViewData { } And I need one for generics also?

    I use the $_GET function to pull a value with php from the url (http:..../index.html?variable=value), basic stuff. However, I need to use that value in my form. Typically, I would set <?php echo 'value="'.$variable.'"' ; ?> or something to that effect. However, I can't use php inside my form using the editor I'm working with. Can I set a value in the form without using PHP in my form? If so, how?

    Is there anyway to set a custom font or color for the selected item in a Spinner? For example, I open the spinner and click a priority of "High". I'm my layout containing the spinner, I would like to see the word "High" in red or a custom font. I can't seem to obtain the textview to make the necessary change. I always obtain a NullPointerException if I typecast the spinner.getSelectedView() to textview and attempt to set the color. any ideas? thanks in advance!

    I have ~2 million rows or so of data, each row with an artificial PK, and two Id fields (so: PK, ID1, ID2). I have a unique constraint (and index) on ID1+ID2. I get two sorts of updates, both with a distinct ID1 per update. 100-1000 rows of all-new data (ID1 is new) 100-1000 rows of largely, but not necessarily completely overlapping data (ID1 already exists, maybe new ID1+ID2 pairs) What's the most efficient way to maintain this 'set'? Here are the options as I see them: Delete all the rows with ID1, insert all the new rows (yikes) Query all the existing rows from the set of new data ID1+ID2, only insert the new rows Insert all the new rows, ignore inserts that trigger unique constraint violations Any thoughts?

What I want to to is: count how many contents in each data set. Instead of the time being the current time, I want it to be a time which I set - say 9:30. Then I want to be able to add, for example 65 seconds and it shows me 9:31.     Seems unlikely, but is there any way to generate a set of unit tests for the following rewrite rule: RewriteRule ^/(user|group|country)/([a-z]+)/(photos|videos)$ http:/whatever?type=$1&entity=$2&resource=$3 From this I'd like to generate a set of urls of the form: /user/foo/photos /user/bar/photos /group/baz/videos /country/bar/photos etc... The reason I don't want to just do this once by hand is that I'd like the bounded alternation groups (e.g. (user|group|country)) to be able to grow and maintain coverage without having the update the tests by hand. Is there a rewrite rule or regex parser that might be able to do this, or am I doing it by hand?

I need to find all possible partitions with the constraint that each pair of elements only shares the same set once. So if I start with [1 2 3 4] [5 6 7 8] [...], all consecutive partitions cannot hold e.g. [1 2 X X] or [X X 1 3]. sets are unordered. Close to this problem are the stirling numbers of the second kind. However, they only solve the problem for arbitrarily sized sets.

But know I have to communicate with a device that uses a baud rate of 307200. How can I set that? cfsetispeed(&options, B307200); doesn't work, there is no B307200 defined.

I am not certain how this is done. I have heard that a pointer is set to NULL by default, though I do not know if this is guaranteed/ in the C++ standard. I am also not sure if initialising through the new operator compared to normal allocation can make a difference too.

    This must be a pretty basic thing to do, but I cannot find any good guide on how to do it on the internet. I only find how to set up a development environment for Node. I want to be able to forward my R-Pi's port 80 to my Node server, which I want to obviously listen on port 80. How can I close the native port 80 so that I can let me Node server listen on that port. Ultimately, I want to be able to access my pi from any remote location. I know how to set up a static IP and forward the port on my router, but now how do I allow Node into port 80?

In my vb.net application I set a global handler in the ApplicationEvents.vb which I thought would only pick up any unhandled exceptions, although it is picking up every exception that happens in my application whether or not they are handled with try catch blocks.     Hi, I found very annoying the fact that the SerialPort class in the .NET Framework doesn't allow to set the rts control to TOGGLE. There is a property called RTSEnable that lets me control directly the status of the RTS signal, but in a Compact Framework app there is not much precision to make it work well. Another solution can be to write a class that calls unmanaged APIs and set the rts control via the DCB structure, but I don't like it since I am using some external libraries that need to reference to a SerialPort instance. Have you any other idea ? Thanks !

  • Can I set JFrame's normal size while it is maximized?

    I'd like to set the normal size of a visible JFrame while it is in Frame.MAXIMIZED_BOTH state (by normal size i mean the size of frame when it is in Frame.NORMAL state) . The reason I want to do this is so that when the user un-maximizes the frame, it will have the proper size I want it to be. But if I do so, the window will switch to normal state. If I set the size first, then switch to MAXIMIZED_BOTH state, then I will see a disturbing blink or resize (which I don't want to). I've also tried setting the size first, then changing state to MAXIMIZED_BOTH, and then making it visible, but the state change is deferred if the window is not visible (and will only be executed once it is made visible, also resulting in a visual resize). So what can I do if I want my frame to have a predefined normal size, but I want it to appear maximized?

    Ok so I have a div that contains a few forms that have dynamically generated content. There are categories, that if you click on, slide/toggle down to reveal that categories sub-contents, or projects. Right now, I have it setup so that if the height of the div expands to exceed a set amount, a scroll bar shows up at the side, and the user can scroll down and see the content. NOW I am being asked to get rid of the scroll bar, and just have the div's border (which is just 1px set in the css) height adjust dynamically with the height of the div's content...can I even do that? Is there some sort of jquery animation that would allow that? A point in the right direction would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks

All it does is unpack a target tar, and then i want to permanently set some environment variables - principally the location of the unpacked libs and updating $PATH. Do I need to programmatically edit the .bashrc file, adding the appropriate entries to the end for example, or is there another way? What's standard practice? Edit: The package includes a number of run scripts (20+) that all use these named environment variables, so I need to set them somehow (the variable names have been chosen such that a collision is extremely unlikely)
