• ExtJS: dynamically ajust layout after adding/removing some form fields

  I have form layout with some TextField elements and one HtmlEditor element. Some TextField elements are "hideable", i.e. could be hid or showed. After hiding/showing elements HtmlEditor instance break layout — there appear empty space or element doesn't end at the window border. Is it possible to tell to HtmlEditor instance use all remaining available space? Even in case when some elements are hidden/showed. I've tried to use anchor property, but it works well until some element removed from the layout.   I am new to Selenium. I generated my first java selenium test case and it has compiled successfully. • saving WPF InkCanvas to a JPG - image is getting cropped

  I have a WPF InkCanvas control I'm using to capture a signature in my application. • Jeditable Datepicker onblur problem

  Hi, I am using inline editing using Jeditable and datepicker. I have a column in my table which displays Date as a hyperlink. When I click on this it shows me the datepicker. And when a particular date is selected its updated in the backend and the cell now is updated with the changed value. However, am having problem with onblur event while changing month or years. This event gets triggered when I click on "Prev" or "Next" buttons on the datepicker control. This causes an exception when the date is selected. This works fine as long as the date selected is in the current month. I tried all possible solutions listed here: stackoverflow.com/questions/2007205/jeditable-datepicker-causing-blur-when-changing-month If settimeout the control does not change back to a normal hyperlink on closing the datepicker or on a true onblur event.   Hello guys and gals... I have a LI with some information, including some links. I would like jQuery to make the LI clickable, but also remain the links in the LI. The Clickable part works. I just need the links within to work as well. NOTE: They work if you right click and choose "Open in new tab".   hi, I'm loading an external js file in the header of my html document and I have 2 questions about it: 1) I've added alert("ok"); in my external file but I cannot see any message. I guess because this file is loaded before the page is completed... or something like this (in the header), right ? 2) Then I added the jQuery code: $(document).ready( function() { alert("ok"); }); but still no signal of life... what am I doing wrong ? thanks

  I'm studing orders of growth "big oh", "big omega", and "big theta". Since I can't type the little symbols for these I will denote them as follows: ORDER = big oh OMEGA = big omega THETA = big theta For example I'll say n = ORDER(n^2) to mean that the function n is in the order of n^2 (n grows at most as fast n^2). Ok for the most part I understand these: n = ORDER(n^2) //n grows at most as fast as n^2 n^2 = OMEGA(n) //n^2 grows atleast as fast as n 8n^2 + 1000 = THETA(n^2) //same order of growth Ok here comes the example that confuses me: what is n(n+1) vs n^2 I realize that n(n+1) = n^2 + n; I would say it has the same order of growth as n^2; therefore I would say n(n+1) = THETA(n^2) but my question is, would it also be correct to say: n(n+1) = ORDER(n^2) please help because this is confusing to me. thanks.

Any ideas why the data doesn't update? A caching or browser issue perhaps?

The first click always results 0 (as expected). but from the second click, the result is unpredictable (but the sequence is still in order, e.g. 3, 4, 5, 10, 14, 15, ....) If I click the button fast enough, I was able to get the result in continuous order (0,1,2,3,4,....) but sometimes it produces more than 2 same numbers (e.g. 0,1,2,3,3,3,4,5,6,6,6,7,8,9,...)   Hi I am trying to install SQL Server 2008 Developer Edition x64 on a Windows Server 2008 VM. I run the installer for a standalone installation and this works fine for the setup support rules bit. That passes ok but then I get this error: TITLE: SQL Server Setup failure. SQL Server Setup has encountered the following error: Invoke or BeginInvoke cannot be called on a control until the window handle has been created.. BUTTONS: OK How can I resolve this? • Iphone application crashes when poping to rootController of UITabBar tab

  Hello, I'm having this bug I can't figure out and it is making my head hurt. So, basically, in my iphone application I have UITabBar with some tabs each having UINavigationControllers inside. Something like this: someViewController *someController = [[someViewController alloc] myInit]; UINavigationController *someNav = [[UINavigationController alloc] initWithRootViewController:someController]; tab = [[UITabBarController alloc] init]; tab.viewControllers = [NSArray arrayWithObjects:otherNav, otherNav, evilNav, nil]; [window addSubview:tab.view]; So to reproduce my "precious" bug I go like this: click evilNav tab -> push tableListView (category list) -> push otherTableListView (category items list) -> push someOtherView (single item) -> popToRoot || popToController withindex:0 || click on evilNav tab again || pop to otherTableListView -> pop to tableListView -> crash (with no notable error) So if I go so far to someOtherView I can't go back to first tableListView (rootViewController) without application crashing. Meanwhile I can go to other tabs and then even click evilNav (when it is in otherTableListView or someOtherView state) without crashing. What could be causing this problem? (If you need I will post more code)

• Browser won't connect to svn server

  This has been driving me nuts. For some reason, I can't access my svn repository using a browser in this laptop that I'm using right now (firefox & ie) The connection just times out. I'm at home right now and the server is in another room. It connects OK there and it also connects OK in my virtual machine in this same laptop. I'm pretty stumped right now and can't figure out why this is happening. I've also checked the proxies and I'm 100% sure I'm not using any at all. The virtual machine running on this laptop is XP 32bit and this one is a Win7 64 bit. Thanks

• Jquery animation callback issues

  I'm trying to build a simple carousel animation with jQuery. There are 3 viewable images at any one time with buttons to click on each side to go forward or backwards. The center image is raised up by 30px to be given prominence. When one of the buttons is pushed the center image should drop down then all three images move together left or right. The initial up and down animation works but on a callback none of the other animations will work. If I hard code the direction into them only one of them works.   I have a test using Cucumber, capybara and selenium driver. This test should go to a form and submit it. The normal text would be Scenario: Fill form Given I am on the Form page When I fill in "field1" with "value1" And I fill in "field2" with "value2" And I press "OK" Then I should see "Form submited" The problem is that I don't have the OK button in the form I need a way to do the "form.submit", without clicking any button or link - the same as happens when you press ENTER when you are in a form field using the browser. I don't know how to tell capybara to submit a form. How can I do it?

• jQuery not and classes

  Hi Guys, I have 2 anchor links (a.selector) and when one is clicked it has a class applied to it of 'active-arrow' and the click also removes the class of the same name from the other anchor as well as lowering the opacity to 0.2. I then want to have a fade effect when the user hovers over the anchor that doesn't have 'active-arrow' applied to it so that it goes to full opacity when mouseenters and back to 0.2 when mouseleaves. The problem im having is that both .not and :not don't seem to be working as expected, the hover effect works but if I click on the anchor whilst hovering the 'active-arrow' class is applied but when mouseleaves the opacity is faded down to 0.2 again even though the 'active-arrow' class is applied. Also the hover then doesn't work for the other a link which has had 'active-arrow' removed. • Java web-app debugging not possible due to direct undeploy on debug

  When i try to debug my webapp it starts up the tomcat server and the application, but shuts down the debugger shortly before the app gets usable. I see the debugging toolbar for a second before it vanishes again, though the app keeps running. • No long-running conversations - IllegalArgumentException: Stack must not be null

  Hi all, I have a very simple application with just 2 pages on WebLogic 10.3.2 (11g), Seam 2.2.0.GA. I have a command button in each, which makes a redirect-after-post to the other. This works well, as I see the URL of the current page I am seeing in the address bar. BUT, even though I have no long-running conversations defined, after a random number of clicks, and - I think - after a random number of seconds (~10s - 60s) I get the lovely exception at the end of this post. Now, if I have understood how temporary conversations work when redirecting this happens: When I first see my application, the url is http://localhost:7001/myapp When I click the button in pageA.xhtml, I end up in "pageB.xhtml?cid=26". This is normal because Seam extends the temporary conversation of the first request to last until the renderResponse phase of the redirect. So, it uses the cid (Conversation Id) of the extended temporary conversation to find any propagated parameters. When I click the button in pageB.xhtml, I end up in pageA.xhtml?cid=26 The same cid was given to the new extended temporary conversation. This is normal because the conversation ended at the end of the previous redirect-after-post, and not the number 26 is free to use as a cid. Is this all correct? If yes, why does this happen: If I re-type the applications home address (showing pageA) and re-click, I end up in pageB.xhtml?cid=29, which is a different number than 26. But 26 has ended after the previous RenderResponse phase, befire I re-types the url. Why is it not used instead of 29? So, to sup up, 2 questions: Why do I get the exception, even though I have not started any long-running conversations? What happens exactly with the cid? On what basis does it change? Cheers,

• Jquery if visible conditional not working

  Hey, I have a page going here that uses jQuery: http://treethink.com/services What I am trying to do is, if a slide or sub-page is shown in there, change the background colour and colour of the button. To do this I tried saying, if a certain div is shown, the background colour of a certain button changes. However, you can see there that it isn't working properly, it is changing the colour for the web one but not removing the colour change and adding a colour change on a different button when you change pages.   I'm having quite a challenge creating an appropriate rewrite rule for Apache/2.2.14 on Fedora 10. I'm working through the CodeIgniter-Doctrine tutorial which uses an .htaccess file. (Search for Removing “index.php” from CodeIgniter urls about 10% down.) • How do I dynamically create a document for download in Javascript?

  I'm writing some Javascript code that generates an XML document in the client (via Google Earth plugin). I'd like the user to be able to click a button on the page and be prompted to save that XML to a new file. If I were generating the XML server-side this would be easy, just make the button open the link. But the XML is generated client-side. I've come up with a couple of hacks that half-work, inspired in part by this StackOverflow question. But neither completely work. Here's a demo HTML with embedded code: <html><head><script> function getData() { return '<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><doc>Hello</doc>'; } function dlDataURI() { window.open("data:text/xml;charset=utf-8," + getData()); } function dlWindow() { var w = window.open(); w.document.open(); w.document.write(getData()); w.document.close(); } </script><body> <div onclick="dlDataURI()">Click for Data URL</div> <div onclick="dlWindow()">Click for Window</div> </body></html> The dlDataURI() version works great in Firefox, poorly in Chrome (can't save), and not at all in IE. The Window() version works OK in Firefox and IE, and not well in Chrome (can't save, XML embedded inside HTML). Neither version ever prompts a user download, it always opens a new window trying to display the XML. Is there a good way to do what I want in client side Javascript? I'd like this to work in today's browsers, ideally Firefox, MSIE 8, and Chrome.
