  • Toggle two divs and classes

    I have two links with classes (login-form and register-form) relevant to their target forms ID, they want to toggle. I have also a predefined 'slideToggle' function to toggle better. This is what I have tried so far: $('#userbar a').click(function() { var c = $(this).attr('class'); $('#userbar a').removeClass('active'); $(this).toggleClass('active'); $('#register-form,#login-form').hide(); //bad, causing flashy $('#' + c).slideToggle('slow'); return false; }); With this I have trouble with the flashy window, and to correctly toggle the active classes when another link is clicked, the other link should not have active class anymore. Additional problem is the link is dead on serial clicks. I have another try, longer one: $('#userbar a').click(function() { var c = $(this).attr('class'); switch (c) { case 'login-form': $('#' + c).slideToggle('slow'); $(this).toggleClass('active'); $('#register-form').hide(); break; case 'register-form': $('#' + c).slideToggle('slow'); $(this).toggleClass('active'); $('#login-form').hide(); break; } return false; }); This one is worse than the first :( Any suggestion to correct the behavior? What I want is when a link with class login-form is click, so toggle the form with ID login-form, and hide the register-form if open. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

  • DRUPAL, Views: exposed filter.. how can I unselect all tags ?

    hi, I'm using Drupal, Views, tag exposed filter and I would like to allow my customer to select the default tags from back-end. However when he selects some tags is not possible anymore to unselect all of them. See initial picture: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/72686/Picture%201.png Now all the tags are unselected, but if I select just one of them, then I cannot anymore come back to the initial configuration. (at least one tag remains selected). How can I fix this ? thanks

  • replace a random word of a string with a random replacement

    I am developing a script that takes an article, searches the article for a "keyword" and then randomly replaces that keyword with an anchor link. I have the script working as it should, however I need to be able to have an array of "replacements" for the function to loop through and insert at the random location. So the first random position would get anchor link #1. The second random position would get anchor link #2. The third random position would get anchor link #3. etc...   • JQuery fadeIn fadeOut loop issue

    I am trying to create a jQuery fadeIn fadeout effect for my page content using the code below. $(document).ready(function (){ $("#main").click(function(){ $("#content").fadeOut(800, function(){ $("#content").load("main.html", function(){ $("#content").fadeIn(800); }); }); }); $("#gallery").click(function(){ $("#content").fadeOut(800, function(){ $("#content").load("gallery.html", function(){ $("#content").fadeIn(800); }); }); }); }); So whenever a user clicks on either the main link or gallery link, the old content fades out and new content fades in. The problem I am facing is that for every link I have to repeat the same code again and again. So I tried to use a loop to simplify this but it doesn't work. Here is my code: var p = ["#main","#gallery", "#contact"]; var q = ["main.html", "gallery.html", "contact.html"]; for (i=0;i<=(p.length-1);i++){ $(p[i]).click(function(){ $("#content").fadeOut(500, function(){ $("#content").load(q[i], function(){ $("#content").fadeIn(500); }); }); }); } It works fine when I write repeat the scripts for each link but it doesn't work when I combine them in a loop.   • Problem: How to display a Wordpress RSS feed in a browser that doesn't have a built in RSS reader?

    If I can, i'd rather not use a service like FeedBurner. My setup: I've setup a RSS feed link on a self-hosted Wordpress website, clicking the RSS link in Safari shows the feed - because Safari has a built in RSS reader. Great. Unfortunately clicking the same RSS link in Chrome displays the raw XML feed. I know why this happens - Chrome doesn't have a built in RSS reader. I also assume this will be the same in older versions of Internet Explorer. Possible solution? I've noticed http://www.bbc.co.uk/news has a nice solution: Click the RSS feed (top tight of the page) in a RSS enabled browser (Safari) and it uses the built in RSS reader to display the RSS feed. Click the same RSS feed link in Chrome (Chrome has no built in RSS reader) it displays the RSS feed using what looks like a custom page. Is there a way to check if a browser has a built in RSS reader? How would I provide alternative content (like the BBC site) to a browser that doesn't have a RSS reader installed? Any help on this would be brilliant, thanks for taking the time to read this. Stephen

    EDIT: Looks like the problem was a rootkit that corrupted a bunch of low level linux commands, including top, ps, ifconfig, netstat and others. The problem was resolved by taking all web files off the server and wiping it. A dedicated server we operate is having a strange issue. Files are not be sent complete or are showing up with garbage data. Example: http://sustainablefitness.com/images/banner_bootcamps.jpg To make matters more confusing this corruption does NOT happen when the files are served as https, (I would post a link, but I don't have enough rep points, just add an 's' after http in the link above.) When I throw load at the server, I get dozens of (swapd)s in top this is the only thing that really jumps out. I can't post images but ( imgur.com / ZArSq.png ) is a screenshot of top. I have tried a lot of stuff so far, I am willing to try anything that I can. A dedicated server we operate is having a strange issue.   • How can I remove relative path components but leave symlinks alone in Perl?

    I need to get Perl to remove relative path components from a Linux path. I've found a couple of functions that almost do what I want, but: File::Spec->rel2abs does too little. It does not resolve ".." into a directory properly. Cwd::realpath does too much. It resolves all symbolic links in the path, which I do not want.     Hello, I have an app that is a tabBarController based app. I have 4 tabs on it and one of these is for logging in/out in my app. The main ideea is that when I logout, I release the tabBarController (this will release the all 4 view controllers too - I have done this becuse I want to refersh all the views after logging out to look just like the first time).After this, I alloc it again and add the view controllers aagin,set the tabBarItem's titles,etc.This work ok. The problem is when I am in landscape mode;my logout view is painted to fit the landscape area,but after disconnect(now I releasse and alloc again the tabbarController) the view is painted in portrait mode but my device is in lanscape.     Currently clicking one of the links in my application, triggers AJAX call (GET) that - if succeeds - triggers the second one and this second one - if succeeds - calls the third one. This way user can be informed which part of process started when clicking the link is currently ongoing. For example, if user clicks the link and closes the browser during CALL 1, is it possible to somehow go on with the following CALL 2 and CALL 3? I know that normally I'd be able to use Celery Task to process the function but is it still possible here with the chained calls mentioned? Any help is much appreciated!

Is there a way to make it render the sub-template for each iteration? Edit: stranger yet, if caching is enabled for the sub-template, it renders for each iteration—but, of course, the arguments on the embed tag aren't passed to subsequent iterations, as the sub-template is cached.

    Hi, Is it possible to have the icons in a TabBar and / or the "More navigation controller" be in colors other than grey and black? I tried changing the color of the icon I set for the view controller using UITabBarItem's - (id)initWithTitle:(NSString *)title image:(UIImage *)image tag:(NSInteger)tag method. My client thinks the interface is too dark and want's to brighten it up with some colorful icons... Thanks!
