  Hi, I am writing an eclipse plug-in which generates code. I am leveraging eclipse jdt to gen out classes, fields, and methods. One of the requirements I have is to generate methods with annotated paramaters... public returnType foo(@someAnnotation int id) { ..... ..... } Does anybody know how to write out the @someAnnotation using JDT? • Self logging modules without Moose

  I have the same question as was asked here but unfortunately I cannot install Moose and I think the solution described there was particular to Moose. Can someone tell me how to the same in old school "use base" speak? To reiterate the question, I would like to have my base classes to have an automatic logging mechanism so if the user does not do anything I get some reasonable logging but if the user of my class needs/wants to overwrite it they can.

• UITableView, force to snap to whole UITableViewCell at top of table

  I have a need to make a UITableView only display whole cells at the top of the cell, so when the table is moved or scrolled it should animate to make a whole cell visible at the top of the table if it has happened to stop with a cell partially off the top. This can be easily done using visibleCells and scrollToRowAtIndexPath methods of UITableView, BUT the cell should not always scroll down to move the partial cell into view - if the cell at top is more than 50% gone it should go completely with the next cell (i.e. index 1 in the array returned by visibleCells) moving to the top of the table. I've tried a few things to make this happen but I don't think I am understanding the way frame and bounds work between a UITableView and its UITableViewCells. Any help?

• C# - Determine if class initializaion causes infinite recursion?

  I am working on porting a VB6 application to C# (Winforms 3.5) and while doing so I'm trying to break up the functionality into various classes (ie database class, data validation class, string manipulation class). Right now when I attempt to run the program in Debug mode the program pauses and then crashes with a StackOverFlowException. VS 2008 suggests a infinite recursion cause. I have been trying to trace what might be causing this recursion and right now my only hypothesis is that class initializations (which I do in the header(?) of each class). My thought is this: mainForm initializes classA classA initializes classB classB initializes classA .... Does this make sense or should I be looking elsewhere?   I have a constructor question for C#. I have this class: public partial class Signature : Form, ISignature { private readonly SignatureMediator mediator; public Signature(SignatureMediator mediator) { this.mediator = mediator; InitializeComponent(); } .... more stuff } I want to construct this class like this: public SignatureMediator(int someValue, int otherValue, int thirdValue) : this(new Signature(this), someValue, otherValue, thirdValue) // This is not allowed --^ { // I don't see anyway to get this in to the ":this" part. //Signature signature = new Signature(this); } public SignatureMediator(ISignature form, int someValue, int otherValue, int thirdValue) { SigForm = form; SomeValue= someValue; OtherValue= otherValue; ThirdValue= thirdValue; } The : this( new SignatureThis(this) is not allowed (the this used in the constructor is not allowed). Is there anyway to set this up without duplicating the assignment of the int values?

  Above is the LINQ to SQL designer view for my data context. Is there a way to generate accessor methods for the subclasses as shown in the inheritance mapping above (Project, Task, etc...) without doing it manually? I added them manually but then a change in the designer overwrites any manual changes. Am i doing this wrong? should I not be making accessors for the sub classes? filtering from ActivityBase seems worse to me. Thanks for any help on this.

• Opening XNA Xbox 360 assemblies in Reflector

  I'd like to get a look at the differences between the Xbox 360 and Windows XNA assemblies. I know the 360 runs the .NET Compact Framework and I was under the impression that Reflector could read CF assemblies, but when I open them, all of the methods are blank and no internal classes are shown. Is this done on purpose, or is it a limitation of Reflector? Is there another way to see how the Xbox 360 XNA assemblies work?

• Optimizing encrypted column search

  I have a table called,tblClient with an encrypted column called SSN. Due to company policy, we encrypted SSN using a symmetric key (chosen over asymmetric key due to performance reasons) using a password. Here is a partial LIKE search on SSN declare @SSN varchar(11) set @SSN = '111-22-%' open symmetric key SSN_KEY decrypt by password = 'secret' select Client_ID from tblClient (nolock) where convert(nvarchar(11), DECRYPTBYKEY(SSN)) like @SSN close symmetric key SSN_KEY Before encryption, searching thru 150,000 records took less than 1 second. but with the mix of decryption, the same search takes around 5 seconds. What strategy can I apply to try to optimize searching thru encrypted column?

I've got my Spring environment set up using Roo, made an entity, and make a batch that does some work, and test it well on my develompent box. I initialize my context and do the work, but when I run my batch on the server, the context isn't initialized properly. • CustomRenderer for AutoComplete using google closure library

  I'm looking to use one of the AutoComplete subclasses(Rich,Remote,RichRemote) and I'd like to use a CustomRenderer, however I don't see instructions for this and reading the documentation/source it appears that the Remote subclass is instantiated with a renderer of "var renderer = new goog.ui.AutoComplete.Renderer();" leaving me no option to change it while instantiating. Is there a setRenderer method on the AutoComplete base class similar to that on the goog.ui.Controls classes? Thanks, Paul

• Missing AVFoundation.framework

  Hi, AVFoundation.framework is not where the documentation says it should be. I have iPhone SDK 2.2 installed (never had previous sdk versions installed) and I can't find that folder under /System/Library/Frameworks I did find it under /Developer/Platforms/iPhoneOS.platform/Developer/SDKs/iPhoneOS2.2.sdk/System/Library/Frameworks/ folder but if I add it from that location, then the compiler can't find the header files. I tried copying the entire AVFoundation.framework folder to /System/Library/Framework, but it still can't find the header files. How can I use AVFoundation classes? Thanks, Alex
