• Using a nHibernate wrapper with fluent nHibernate

Also, would this be suited to use in both asp.net and windows applications? I'm planning to use the repository pattern, using this to create my nHibernate session?

  Hi, I am trying to modify the Ubuntu One File syncing python scripts to not including things like .iso's. I have got as far as finding this file: /usr/share/pyshared/ubuntuone/u1sync/constants.py Inside is this piece of code: import re # the name of the directory u1sync uses to keep metadata about a mirror METADATA_DIR_NAME = u".ubuntuone-sync" # filenames to ignore SPECIAL_FILE_RE = re.compile(".*\\.(" "(u1)?partial|part|" "(u1)?conflict(\\.[0-9]+)?)$") How can I edit this last section (regex?) and make it ignore .iso files???   Hi folks, I'm just wondering, I often have really long python files and imports tend to stack quite quickly. PEP8 says that the imports should always be written at the beginning of the file. Do all the imported libraries get imported when calling a function coded in the file? Or do only the necessary libraries get called? Does it make sense to worry about this? Is there no reason to import libraries within the functions or classes that need them?

  Hi all, i am currently working on a web application that needs to accept video uploaded by users in any format (.avi, .mov, etc.) and convert them to flv for playing in a flash-based player. Since the site is OpenCms-based, the best solution would be a ready-made plugin for OpenCms that allowed to upload and play videos doing the transcode operation in background, but just a set of Java classes to do the transcode would be great and then i could make the uploading form and playback part on my own.

  The library in question is Tokyo Cabinet. I want is to have the native library, JNI library, and all Java API classes in one JAR file to avoid redistribution headaches. There seems to be an attempt at this at GitHub, but It does not include the actual native library, only JNI library. It doesn't work (for me): when I use this JAR, the JVM does not even seem to find the JNI library which is packaged inside the JAR: java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no jtokyocabinet in java.library.path (tokyo_cabinet.clj:19)

  This is probably a silly question, but here it goes.Imagine you have the following classes: public class C { } public class D : C { //A subclass of C } public class A { C argument; } Now, I want to have a class B, that inherits from A.This class would obviously inherit the "argument" field, but I wish to force the "argument" field in B to be of type D, rather than C.Since D inherits from C this shouldn't create any problems.
