• Is there a way to click a link in Firefox and open a file in an existing VIM session?

  Hi there, I know it's possible to open links in an html page (let's say, if you're using Firefox) with TextMate if the link has this format: <a href="txmt://open?url=file:///home/.../index.html.haml">View</a> But is it possible to do a similar thing with VIM? Perhaps like so: <a href="vim://open?url=file:///home/.../index.html.haml">View</a> Ideally this would use an existing VIM session. Cheers, Bernie

Should I break up the characters in the query, and individually perform a LIKE % % match on each character against the row, or is there any easier way to get a row that contains one of the two characters? • why can't a static member be reached through an instance name?

  say I have: class Test { public static int Hello = 5; } This obviously works: int j = Test.Hello; But why should this not work? Test test = new Test(); int j = test.Hello; The instance could not have a member equally named, so I don't see how this could be ambiguous or unresolvable for a compiler. Anyone any idea why this is?

  Let's say I want to allow my developers to upload their war files to a web app (not the application server itself) running on our intranet and that web app would then run those wars as if they were separate apps deployed individually in our J2EE container. In other words, we are not actually deploying the wars as separate apps in the container - they are simply running side-by-side inside this one web app that acts like a J2EE container.
