  Hello. I want to use foreign keys to keep the integrity and avoid orphans (I already use innoDB). How do I make a SQL statment that DELETE ON CASCADE? Secondly, that using DELETE ON CASCADE. E.g. if I delete a category then it would delete products related to that category even though there are other categories related to those products.   Hi everybody, I have tried for some time to work out a way of sorting nested categories with jQuery. I failed to build my own plugin to do this, so I tried to find something that were available already. Tried a few hours now with this one, http://www.jordivila.net/code/js/jquery/ui-widgetTreeList_inheritance/widgetTreeListSample.aspx and cant get it to work. What are the alternatives of creating a jQuery / jQuery UI script that handles sorting children and parent categories in a way that can be combined with a AJAX PHP backend to handle the actual sorting in the database?   Hi all, In my aplication, I want a tableview with different cell structure depending upon the category of data that's getting loaded in it [I have different categories like video, editorial etc with different structure of data like video has a single label, editorial has 3 labels etc]. I can load different nib files based on the data coming from xml parser. Now when the cell is tapped, I want to show its detailed view on a new viewController. So my question is is it possible to use only 1 viewController show different fields depending upon the category of data in the cell. Or do I need to create different viewControllers for each of the categories?

Have an unmanaged C++ Class with one public instance variable: char* character_encoding; and whose only constructor is defined as: TF_StringList(const char* encoding = "cp_1252"); when I use this class in either managed or unmanaged C++, the first thing I do is declare a pointer to an object of this class: const TF_StringList * categories; Then later I instantiate it: categories = new TF_StringList(); this gives me a pointer to an object of type TF_StringList whose variable character_encoding is set to "cp_1252"; So, is all that logic valid? • SQLite/iPhone read copyright symbol

  Hi All, I am having problems reading the copyright symbol from a sqlite db that I have for my App that I am developing. I import the information manually, ie, from an excel sheet. I have tried two ways of doing it and failed with both: 1) Tried replacing the copyright symbol with "\u00ae" (unicode combination) within excel and then importing the modified file. - Result: I get the combination of \u00ae as a part of the string, it doesnt detect the unicode combination. 2) Tried leaving as it is.   So, what I want to do is quite simple in my mind. I have an array that consists solely of four objects. I want to create a loop that will echo an attribute of each object in the array. The only success I've had, however, is echoing every object and every property of the objects. I've never dealt with objects so this is probably the TRUE root of the problem.   Hey. I have seen many apps that load data to UITableViews from the internet, and they usually load smoothly. Now it's my turn to load in that kind of data. I am getting different data at the same time, separating categories with ~ and pieces of categories with #. This works great, and I have managed to separate the data in obj-c perfectly. Everything in my app works, it's just that the loading takes a lot of time. So, I guess the real question is, how can you load in data for a tableView in the background, showing a label/UIActivityView or something while it is loading? Thank you.

• Passing along variable inside link works only on first word in multiple-word-variables, why?

  I have this code below. As you can see I am passing two variables along with the link. The second variabye (category) works whenever it consists of one word, but some categories are two words or more, and then on the receiving php page where I fetch the variable only the first word is fetched. Any ideas? • How to list all items in custom taxonomy with a permanlink in Wordpress

  Hi, Not sure how to word this. I've set up a type in Wordpress called Products. I also have two taxonomies linked to Products called Brands and Categories. When you create a product you can set to which Brand and Category the product belong to. It works perfectly when using the type as permalink to list everything within a type http://sitename.com/products but I can't seem to get the taxonomies working in the same way, ie. list all the items within a taxonomy (like an archive, I suppose): http://sitename.com/brands http://sitename.com/categories Is this possible, and if so, what could I possibly be doing wrong? I would try and set up some rewrite rules in functions.php, but I don't know what the query string looks like if you want to list items in a taxonomy, and if this is even possible. If it helps, I'm using the plugins More Types and Ultimate Taxonomy Manager to create the types and taxonomies.

Now, let's assume I want to fetch the latest article of each category that fits a specific criteria (read: the article does). If it weren't for that extra criteria, I could just add a column called last_article_id or something similar to the categories table - even though that wouldn't be properly normalized. How can I do this though? I assume there's something using GROUP BY and HAVING?

  Playing around with the subscriptions module; i have some troubles getting it to send the right notification for right subscription. Here's the situation : I have a content-type of type 'work'; it has a cck-taxonomy field; when creating the content users choses one category in which his 'work' fulfills. In user profil, under Categories (user/3/subscriptions/taxa) I choose two categories, lets say 'house work' and 'car work'. When creating a new 'work' content I do not get the notification. But, when manually select 'content-type' in user's profile of type 'work' I get the notification e-mail but independant to which 'category' i had chosen. This is quite annoying since I only want the user to receive his notifications upon the taxonomy he has chosen, not for every new content of type 'work'. Am I missing something obvious here ?

• Transform LINQ Dataset into a Matrix for export

  Hi folks, I've got a data table with columns in which include Item, Category and Value (and others, but those are the only relevant ones for this problem) that I access via LINQ in a C# ASP.Net MVC app. I want to transform these into a matrix and output that as a CSV file to pull into Excel as matrix with the items down the side, the categories across the top and the values in the row cells. However, I don't know how many, or what, categories there will be in this table, nor will there always be a record for each item/category combination. I've written this by looping round, getting my "master category" list, then looking again for each item, filling in either blank or Value, depending on whether the item/category record exists, but as there are currently 27000 records in the table, this isn't as fast as I'd like. Is there a slicker and faster way I can do this, maybe via LINQ (firing into a quicker SQL statement so the DB server can do the leg-work), or will any method essentially come back to what I am doing? • AS3 Passing data between objects/classes

  So i a building a categorized menu of different foods. I have a class for "categories" (buttons) which essentially will return a string "salads", "drinks", etc. I now have another class "menuItems" for items within categories and this handles sizes such as "small", "med", "large", etc. My problem now is that when i return "salads", i want to invoke an array which contains all the elements of salads, send it to menuItems which will populate the menu. So far i have both the category objects and the menu object setup. I just cant seem to be able to send the data that the category object is returning and pass it to the menu object. Both of which are added to the stage as shown below: If there was a way that i could say add all these classes to one class so that they can talk to each other that would be great but i dont know how to do this. Been stuck for hours, please any help is greatly appreciated.

• categorizing items in a list with python

  Just as a heads up, I'm really new to python. Currently I have a list of 110,000 donors in Excel. One of the pieces of information they give to us is their occupation. I would like to condense this list down to say 10 or 20 categories that I define. Normally I would just chug through this, going line by line, but since I have to do this for a years worth of data, I don't really have the time to do a line by line of 1,000,000+ rows. Is there anyway to define my 10 or 20 categories and then have python sort it out from there?
