• (android) rows of buttons that take up the entire width of the screen

  I am trying to make 3 rows of 4 buttons each that will take up the entire width of the screen. I have tried Linear Layout but have trouble adding a second row and from what I have read nesting Linear Layouts is bad practice. I tried to use relative layout several times but I cannot manage to get the buttons to fill the width of the screen because it ignores layout_weight, I then tried nesting linear layout in relative layout but layout_weight is still ignored. What is the best way to accomplish this?

  im making an image button like this: <input type="image" src="red.jpeg" width="150px"> but it is displaying the original image size which is much larger, if i put: <img src="red.jpeg" width="150px"> it displays the image 150px wide as i want, what do you guys think is the problem with this? I have tried styling it with a class and CSS but not working either, please help me with this, im going nuts!!

I am building the website here: http://www.obliquo.co.uk/ As you can see it all works, but I am forced to setting a huge body width in pixel value. The content on the page will be changing all the time. If I don't set a width in pixels, the divs start bumping vertically, naturally.

  My question is comparable to this one, but not quite the same. I have a database with a huge amount of books, with different editions of some of the same book titles. I'm looking for an SQL statement giving me the highest edition number of each of the titles I'm selecting with a WHERE clause (to find specific book series).   Hi, I have a problem when I try to center the div block "products" because I don't know in advance the div width. Anybody have a solution?   Hi, I have this HTML <div class="someClass"> <ul> <li><a href="index.html">1</a></li> <li><a href="index.html">2</a></li> <li><a href="index.html">3</a></li> <li><a href="index.html">4</a></li> <li><a href="index.html">5</a></li> </ul> </div> Problem: I want to make the <a>s to shape like a square, with height = 20px and width = 20px. I can make it have the height and width if I make it float: left. In there the problem occur cause I need the <ul> to be centered but it won't because of the float:left of the <a>. how can I make it centered with fix height and width of the anchors? note: anchors don't have fixed length... the sample is just 5, but it can also grow to 7, or 9. I also need the links to be inline in view.

  I have a very simple web form which consists of labels and input fields, however I can not seem to find a way of aligning the form in the center of the page and for the labels to have an equal width so that they appear neatly next to each other, one under the other.   Okay, I'm a newbie to CSS3, so please be gentle. ;-) I'm working with some Wordpress code (Woocommerce plugin, to be exact), and I'm trying to format a line of code in a sidebar so that 2 separate text items (one in an <a, the other in a <span are all on the same line, the full width of the column, and with a bottom border. It looks something like this (except the bottom border on each text do not go all the way across the enclosing sidebar box): http://www.dalluva.com/temp/browse-catalog.JPG (sorry, I'm new and can't post inline images yet) Here's the code fragment I'm trying to live with (i.e. I don't want to change it): <div class="widget"> ... <ul class="product-categories"> <li class="cat-item"> <a href="http://localhost/dalluva/shop/product-category/books/">Books</a> <span class="count">(5)</span> </li> ...   I'm currently experiencing an issue with an Open GL ES renderbuffer where the backing and width are are both set to 15. Is there any way to set them to the width of 320 and 480? My project is built up on Apple's EAGLView class and ES1Renderer, but I've moved it from the app delegate to a controller. I also moved the CADisplayLink outside of it (I update my game logic with the timestamp from this) Any help would be greatly appreciated. I add the glview to the window as follows: CGRect applicationFrame = [[UIScreen mainScreen] applicationFrame]; [window addSubview:gameController.glview]; [window makeKeyAndVisible]; I synthesize the controller and the glview within it. The EAGLView and Renderer are otherwise unmodified. • Renderbuffer Width (Open GL ES)

  I'm currently experiencing an issue with an Open GL ES renderbuffer where the backing and width are are both set to 15. Is there any way to set them to the width of 320 and 480? My project is built up on Apple's EAGLView class and ES1Renderer, but I've moved it from the app delegate to a controller. I also moved the CADisplayLink outside of it (I update my game logic with the timestamp from this) Any help would be greatly appreciated. I add the glview to the window as follows: CGRect applicationFrame = [[UIScreen mainScreen] applicationFrame]; [window addSubview:gameController.glview]; [window makeKeyAndVisible]; I synthesize the controller and the glview within it. The EAGLView and Renderer are otherwise unmodified.   My HTML currently contains a background image that stretches with the viewport. Within that, I plan to place a div that stretches to the height and width of the viewport and has black background colour at 50% opacity. I've set the div to be 100% width and height. The div is not stretching and I can't figure out why! • draw rectangle in millimeters doesnt show accurate width

  I am drawing a rectangle in millimeter on a panel using the following code in c# by entering the width and length in mm at runtime. however the resultant rectangle drawn varies in size in different monitors. I want the rectangle to appear same size irrespective of the running the app in any monitor. Can any1 help me?. currently the width for 10mm measures 12mm and length for 10mm shows 11mm using a scale. I tested the appn on different monitors, there again it shows different length.   I have some problems when I try to bind the height and width of a window to properties in my view model. Here is a small sample app to illustrate the problem.   I'm implementing an UI in Java Swing. Therefore I use a JTabbedPane. The tabbedPane has no components at startup. When i add a tab to the tabbedpane, the width of the tabbedpane increases, when i remove the tab, the width resizes to the width at the startup. This should not happen. The tabbedpane is placed on a JPanel which has a gridbag layout. • Create jQuery Slider Range With One Handle Not Using Min/Max

  Hey all, Is there any possible way to create a slider that will create a range similar to what is done with one handle using min/max, only instead of min/max, starting the range from say 50 (on a scale from 1-100)? I realize this will most likely require modification of the slider or creating a plugin, just wondering if anyone has done this already or knows how to go about it. I.e. something like this: http://jqueryui.com/demos/slider/rangemin.html Only, instead of the range going from the min, going off of where the handle is, and allowing the user to slide either left or right of that fixed starting point to create the range. Any help is appreciated, and I'd be glad to clarify what I need if that doesn't make sense! :)
