• How to download file from inside Seam PDF

    - by Shervin
Hello. In out project we are creating a pdf by using seam pdf and storing that pdf in the database. The user can then search up the pdf and view it in their pdf viewer. This is a small portion of the code that is generated to pdf: <p:html> <a:repeat var="file" value="#{attachment.files}" rowKeyVar="row"> <s:link action="#{fileHandler.downloadById()}" value="#{file.name}" > <f:param name="fileId" value="#{file.id}"/> </s:link> </a:repeat> When the pdf is rendered, a link is generated that points to: /project/skjenkebevilling/status/status_pdf.seam?fileId=42&actionMethod=skjenkebevilling%2Fstatus%2Fstatus_pdf.xhtml%3AfileHandler.downloadById()&cid=16 As you can see this link doesnt say much, and the servletpath seems to be missing. If I change /project with the servletpath localhost:8080/saksapp/skjenkebevilling/status/status_pdf.seam?fileId=42&actionMethod=skjenkebevilling%2Fstatus%2Fstatus_pdf.xhtml%3AfileHandler.downloadById%28%29&cid=16 Than the download file dialog appears. So my question is, does anyone know how I can input the correct link? And why this s:link doesnt seem to work? If I cannot do that, then I will need to somehow do search replace and edit the pdf, but that seems like a bit of a hack. (This is running under JBoss) Thank you for your time....

  • JSF/Facelets: set `action` attribute to a dynamically evaluated string

    - by harto
In my JSF/Facelets application, I want to dynamically generate a breadcrumb trail from a list of page IDs using a custom tag: <foo:breadcrumbs trail="foo,bar,baz"/> This should generate something like: <h:commandLink action="foo" ... /> <h:commandLink action="bar" ... /> My code looks something like this: <ui:repeat value="#{fn:split(trail, ',')}" var="key"> <h:commandLink action="#{key}" ... /> </ui:repeat> The problem with this code is that #{key} is interpreted as a method binding. However, I just want the string value of #{key} to be returned as the navigation outcome. How can I achieve this? The only thing I could think of was creating a dummy managed-bean that has an outcome field and an action handler, and invoke it like so: <h:commandLink action="#{dummy.click}" ...> <f:setPropertyActionListener target="#{dummy.outcome}" value="#{key}" /> </h:commandLink> with the dummy class defined like so: public class Dummy { private String outcome; public String click() { return outcome; } public void setOutcome(String outcome) { this.outcome = outcome; } public void getOutcome() { return outcome; } } That seems ugly though, and I don't know if it would work.

  • MySQL Cursor Issue

    - by James Inman
I've got the following code - this is the first time I've really attempted using cursors. DELIMITER $$ DROP PROCEDURE IF EXISTS demo$$ DROP TABLE IF EXISTS temp$$ CREATE TEMPORARY TABLE temp( id INTEGER NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT, start DATETIME NOT NULL, end DATETIME NOT NULL, PRIMARY KEY(id) ) $$ CREATE PROCEDURE demo() BEGIN DECLARE done INT DEFAULT 0; DECLARE a, b DATETIME; DECLARE cur1 CURSOR FOR SELECT MAX(end) AS end FROM ( SELECT id, start, end, @r := @r + (start > @edate) AS num, @edate := GREATEST(@edate, end) FROM ( SELECT @r := 0, @edate := '0001-01-01' ) vars, student_lectures WHERE ( student_id = 1 AND start >= '2010-04-26 00:00:00' AND end <= '2010-04-30 23:59:59' ) ORDER BY start ) q GROUP BY num; DECLARE cur2 CURSOR FOR SELECT MIN(start) AS start FROM ( SELECT id, start, end, @r := @r + (start > @edate) AS num, @edate := GREATEST(@edate, end) FROM ( SELECT @r := 0, @edate := '0001-01-01' ) vars, student_lectures WHERE ( student_id = 1 AND start >= '2010-04-26 00:00:00' AND end <= '2010-04-30 23:59:59' ) ORDER BY start ) q GROUP BY num LIMIT 1, 18446744073709551615; DECLARE CONTINUE HANDLER FOR NOT FOUND SET done = 1; OPEN cur1; OPEN cur2; REPEAT FETCH cur1 INTO a; FETCH cur2 INTO b; IF NOT done THEN INSERT INTO temp(start, end) VALUES(a,b); END IF; UNTIL done END REPEAT; CLOSE cur1; CLOSE cur2; END $$ SELECT * FROM temp; I'm not getting anything outputted into the temp table. • html css header text

How come this isn't working? here is the CSS: .posttext{ float: left; width: 70%; text-align: left; padding: 5px; background-color: transparent !important; } .postavi{ float: left; width: 100px; height: 100%; text-align: left; background-color: transparent !important; padding: 5px; } .postwrapper{ background-image:url('images/post_bg.png'); background-position:left top; background-repeat:repeat-y; } and here is the HTML:

You will have bad luck today.
lol

Edit: at request, here is a link to the site: http://prime.programming-designs.com/test_forum/viewthread.php?thread=33 Edit: edited css to be correct, still suffering same problem

  • Does Internet Explorer 7 have a CSS parsing issue with the "background-image" property?

    - by user312003
Having CSS layout issues with Internet Explorer 7 (big surprise). Upon using the Developer Tools to inspect the CSS, I discovered that some properties defined in the stylesheet are not appearing in the parsed CSS structure... THEN I saw THIS being shown as the parsed value for the background-image property: background-image : url(/trunk/httpdocs/images/layout/HCBL_Homepage_01.jpg); WIDTH: 1200px; pretty much obliterating the width that was defined property. The actual code in the CSS file for this element: div#header { width: 1200px; height: 100px; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; background-image: url('/trunk/httpdocs/images/layout/HCBL_Homepage_01.jpg'); background-repeat: no-repeat; } If anyone could offer any insight, or provide a link describing this problem (and maybe a workaround...) I would be very appreciative. Also, I am only interested in this from a parsing of the stylesheet and CSS syntax perspective. I am not concerned with rendering and display issues at the moment; I simply want to get IE 7 (and I have a feeling IE 6 will have similar issues) to recognize and parse ALL of the CSS properties that have been defined in the stylesheet. Thanks in advance guys!

  • Horizontal and vertical center text in html

    - by Christophe Herreman
I have a div with a background image that needs to be centered horizontally and vertically. On top of that image, I also want to display a 1-line text, also centered horizontally and vertically. I managed to get the image centered, but the text is not centered vertically. I thought vertical-align:middle would do the trick. Here's the code I have:

Some text here.

Any ideas? Workaround: I actually got this to work by using a table. (I'll probably be cursed to hell by the HTML community.) Is there any significant reason not to use this btw? I'm still interested in the solution using divs though.

Some text here.

  • RichFaces a4j:support parameter passing

    - by Mark Lewis
Hello I have a number of rich:inplaceInput tags in RichFaces which represent numbers in an array. The validator allows integers only. When a user clicks in an input and changes a value, how can I get the bean to sort the array given the new number and reRender the list of rich:inplaceInput tags so that they're in numerical order? EG <a4j:region> <rich:dataTable value="#{MyBacking.config}" var="feed" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="100%" border="0" columns="5" id="Admin"> ... <a4j:repeat... <a4j:region id="MsgCon"> <rich:inplaceInput value="#{h.id}" validator="#{MyBacking.validateID}" id="andID" showControls="true"> <a4j:support event="onviewactivated" action="#{MyBacking.sort}" reRender="Admin" /> </rich:inplaceInput> </a4j:region> </a4j:repeat> </data:Table> </a4j:region> Note I do NOT want to use dataTable sort functions. The table is complicated and I've specified id="Admin" (ie the whole table) to reRender as I've not found a way to send more localised values to the backing bean through the inplaceInput. This question is about how to use a4j:support action attribute to call the sort method so that when the reRender rerenders the component, it outputs the list in sorted order. I have the sort method working ok when I click a button to sort, but I want to have the list sorted automatically as soon as a new valid value is entered into the inplaceInput component. Thanks

  • How do you protect a common resource using mutexes?

    - by Steve
I have a common resource, which I want 1 and only 1 instance of my application (or it's COM API) to have access to at any time. I have tried to protect this resource using mutexes, but when multiple threads of a host dotnet application try to access the COM object, the mutex doesn't seem to be released. This is the code I have used to protect my resource. repeat Mutex := CreateMutex(nil, True, PChar('Connections')); until (Mutex <> 0) and (GetLastError <> ERROR_ALREADY_EXISTS); try //use resource here! finally CloseHandle(Mutex); end; If I run the threads simultaneously, the first thread get's through (obviously, being the first one to create the mutex), but subsequent threads are caught in the repeat loop. If I run each thread at 5 second intervals, then all is ok. I suspect I'm not using mutexes correctly here, but I have found very little documentation about how to do this. Any ideas?

  • Summation loop program in Pascal

    - by user2526598
I am having a bit of an issue with this problem. I am taking a Pascal programming class and this problem was in my logic book. I am required to have the user enter a series of (+) numbers and once he/she enters a (-) number, the program should find the sum of all the (+) numbers. I accomplished this, but now I am attempting part two of this problem, which requires me to utilize a nested loop to run the program x amount of times based on the user's input. The following code is what I have so far and honestly I am stumped: program summation; //Define main program's variables var num, sum, numRun : integer; //Design procedure that will promt user for number of runs procedure numRunLoop ( var numRun : integer ); begin writeln('How many times shall I run this program?'); readln(numRun); end; //Design procedure that will sum a series of numbers //based on user input procedure numPromptLoop( numRun : integer; var num : integer ); var count : integer; begin //Utilize for to establish run limit for count := 1 to numRun do begin //Use repeat to prompt user for numbers repeat writeln('Enter a number: '); readln(num); //Tells program when to sum if num >= 0 then sum := sum + num; until num < 0; end; end; //Design procedure that will display procedure addItion( sum : integer ); begin writeln('The sum is; ', sum); end; begin numRunLoop(numRun); numPromptloop(numRun, num); addItion(sum); readln(); end.

  • PHP RegEx: How to Stripe Whitespace Between Two Strings

    - by roydukkey
I have been trying to write a regex that will remove whitespace following a semicolon (';') when it is between both an open and close curly brace ('{','}'). I've gotten somewhere but haven't been able to pull it off. Here what I've got: <?php $output = '@import url("/home/style/nav.css"); body{color:#777; background:#222 url("/home/style/nav.css") top center no-repeat; line-height:23px; font-family:Arial,Times,serif; font-size:13px}' $output = preg_replace("#({.*;) \s* (.*[^;]})#x", "$1$2", $output); ?> The the $output should be as follows. Also, notice that the first semicolon in the string still is followed by whitespace, as it should be. <?php $output = '@import url("/home/style/nav.css"); body{color:#777;background:#222 url("/home/style/nav.css") top center no-repeat;line-height:23px;font-family:Arial,Times,serif;font-size:13px}'; ?> Thanks! In advance to anyone willing to give it a shot.

  • Generating dynamic css using php and javascript

    - by Onkar Deshpande
    I want to generate tooltip based on a dynamically changing background image in css. This is my my_css.php file. <?php header('content-type: text/css'); $i = $_GET['index']; if($i == 0) $bg_image_path = "../bg_red.jpg"; elseif ($i == 1) $bg_image_path = "../bg_yellow.jpg"; elseif ($i == 2) $bg_image_path = "../bg_green.jpg"; elseif ($i == 3) $bg_image_path = "../bg_blue.jpg"; ?> .tooltip { white-space: nowrap; color:green; font-weight:bold; border:1px solid black;; font-size:14px; background-color: white; margin: 0; padding: 7px 4px; border: 1px solid black; background-image: url(<?php echo $bg_image_path; ?>); background-repeat:repeat-x; font-family: Helvetica,Arial,Sans-Serif; font-family: Times New Roman,Georgia,Serif; filter:alpha(opacity=85); opacity:0.85; zoom: 1; } In order to use this css I added
in my html
tag of javascript code. I am thinking of passing different values of 'index' so that it would generate the background image dynamically. Can anyone tell me how should I pass such values from a javascript ? I am creating the tooltip using var tooltip = document.createElement("div"); document.getElementById("map").appendChild(tooltip); tooltip.style.visibility="hidden"; and I think before calling this createElement, I should set background image.

  • JSF/Seam - call one component method for many radio groups

    - by purecharger
I've got the following jsf page: <h:form> <ui:repeat value="#{list.categories}" var="cat"> <h:selectOneRadio id="sel1Rad" value="#{list.choose}" layout="pageDirection"> <f:selectItems value="#{list.names}"/> </h:selectOneRadio> </ui:repeat> <h:commandButton id="submit" action="#{list.submit}" value="Submit"/> </h:form> And a component named list. The variable cat is injected to the component, used by the method list.getNames(). What I am trying to have happen is to have list.choose() be called for each radio group. I'm not sure if this is possible with Seam. Going by the booking example distributed with Seam, there is a distinct separate method for each selectOneRadio or selectOneMenu group. Since I have an unknown number of categories, I can't / don't want to define a method for each possible choice. When I submit the form, all my choices are sent in the POST, I just don't know the correct way to tell Seam how to dispatch them to my component. Any help is appreciated!

  • CSS ] how to automatically resize the wrapper div.

    - by Phrixus
Hi, I've been struggling with this problem.. There is a wrapper div and it contains 3 vertical column divs with full of texts, and this wrapper div has red background color so that it can be a background of the entire texts.

// massive texts goes here
... // two more columns go here.
And here is the CSS code for them. #content_wrapper { background-color:#DB0A00; background-repeat:no-repeat; min-height:400px; } #cside_a, #cside_b, #cside_c { float: left; width: 33%; } And this code gives me a background that covers only 400px height box.. My expectation was the wrapper div automatically resizes depending on the size of the divs in it. Somehow putting "overflow:hidden" with wrapper CSS code makes everything work fine. I have no idea why "overflow:hidden" works.. shouldn't this hide all the overflowed texts..? Could anyone explain me why? Is is the correct way to do it anyway?

  • CSS Background image in Redmine template arbitrarily not loading

    - by Pekka
I`m in the process of building a template for Redmine (a project management system based on Ruby on Rails.) Ruby is running on a virtual server from a Bitnami.org installation package. The OS is Windows. The template essentially consists of a styles.css file. In that file, I have the following line: #header { padding: 0px; padding-top: 48px; background-color: #62DFFF; background-image: url(../images/bkg.jpg) background-position: center bottom; background-repeat: repeat-x; height:150px; } It's a header element with a background image. The problem: This background image arbitrarily appears and disappears when reloading. Say you reload ten times in twenty seconds; the image will appear in two instances, and be missing in the 18 others. I would have put this down to server problems, but the weird thing is that when it's missing, the request for the image doesn't appear in Firebug's net tab at all. Even if it were cached, the request should be there. Raw screenshots of the identical page on two reloads: I am 100% sure the CSS file does not change in between. I have examined both instances with Firebug and the CSS is identical. It happens in both Firefox and Chrome so it must be something basic I'm overlooking. What could be causing a browser not to load a resource at all? I have zero idea about Ruby nor Rails - getting Redmine running and customized is all I have ever had to do with this platform - so I don't really know where to look. Apache's, Mongrel's and Redmine's error logs look fine, though.

  • Why does this MySQL function return null?

    - by Shore
Description: the query actually run have 4 results returned,as can be see from below, what I did is just concate the items then return, but unexpectedly,it's null. I think the code is self-explanatory: DELIMITER | DROP FUNCTION IF EXISTS get_idiscussion_ask| CREATE FUNCTION get_idiscussion_ask(iask_id INT UNSIGNED) RETURNS TEXT DETERMINISTIC BEGIN DECLARE done INT DEFAULT 0; DECLARE body varchar(600); DECLARE created DATETIME; DECLARE anonymous TINYINT(1); DECLARE screen_name varchar(64); DECLARE result TEXT; DECLARE cur1 CURSOR FOR SELECT body,created,anonymous,screen_name from idiscussion left join users on idiscussion.uid=users.id where idiscussion.iask_id=iask_id; DECLARE CONTINUE HANDLER FOR SQLSTATE '02000' SET done = 1; SET result = ''; OPEN cur1; REPEAT FETCH cur1 INTO body, created, anonymous, screen_name; SET result = CONCAT(result,'<comment>
',body,'
','<replier>',if(screen_name is not null and !anonymous,screen_name,''),'</replier>','<created>',created,'</created></comment>'); UNTIL done END REPEAT; CLOSE cur1; RETURN result; END | DELIMITER ; mysql> DELIMITER ; mysql> select get_idiscussion_ask(1); +------------------------+ | get_idiscussion_ask(1) | +------------------------+ | NULL | +------------------------+ 1 row in set (0.01 sec) mysql> SELECT body,created,anonymous,screen_name from idiscussion left join users on idiscussion.uid=users.id where idiscussion.iask_id=1; +------+---------------------+-----------+-------------+ | body | created | anonymous | screen_name | +------+---------------------+-----------+-------------+ | haha | 2009-05-27 04:57:51 | 0 | NULL | | haha | 2009-05-27 04:57:52 | 0 | NULL | | haha | 2009-05-27 04:57:52 | 0 | NULL | | haha | 2009-05-27 04:57:53 | 0 | NULL | +------+---------------------+-----------+-------------+ 4 rows in set (0.00 sec) For those who don't think the code is self-explanatory: Why the function returns NULL?

  • Does QThread::sleep() require the event loop to be running?

    - by suszterpatt
I have a simple client-server program written in Qt, where processes communicate using MPI. The basic design I'm trying to implement is the following: The first process (the "server") launches a GUI (derived from QMainWindow), which listens for messages from the clients (using repeat fire QTimers and asynchronous MPI receive calls), updates the GUI depending on what messages it receives, and sends a reply to every message. Every other process (the "clients") runs in an infinite loop, and all they are intended to do is send a message to the server process, receive the reply, go to sleep for a while, then wake up and repeat. Every process instantiates a single object derived from QThread, and calls its start() method. The run() method of these classes all look like this: from foo.cpp: void Foo::run() { while (true) { // Send message to the first process // Wait for a reply // Do uninteresting stuff with the reply sleep(3); // also tried QThread::sleep(3) } } In the client's code, there is no call to exec() anywhere, so no event loop should start. The problem is that the clients never wake up from sleeping (if I surround the sleep() call with two writes to a log file, only the first one is executed, control never reaches the second). Is this because I didn't start the event loop? And if so, what is the simplest way to achieve the desired functionality?

  • Got problem when uploading the html into the webview in iphone sdk.

    - by Monish Kumar
    Hi Guy's NSString* appendString=@""; appendString = [appendString stringByAppendingString:@"
"]; appendString =[appendString stringByAppendingString:@"
"]; appendString =[appendString stringByAppendingString:@"
"]; appendString =[appendString stringByAppendingString:@"

"]; appendString =[appendString stringByAppendingString:@"
Details
"]; appendString =[appendString stringByAppendingString:@"
"]; appendString =[appendString stringByAppendingString:@"
"]; appendString =[appendString stringByAppendingString:@"
"]; returnString = [returnString stringByReplacingOccurrencesOfString:@"
" withString:appendString]; printf("\n return string :%s",[returnString UTF8String]); [myWebView loadHTMLString:returnString baseURL:[NSURL URLWithString:@"http://abc.api.abcdefg.com/"]]; here in the above code the footer.png and details_back.png are the local images stored in my resource folder. Here the problem is I am gettin the background image from the server link I had passed to the webview as baseurl but the images footer.png and details_back.png which were stored in resource is not displayed. if I use the resource bundle as the baseurl then I am not displayed the background image from the server link. Can anyone please give me the suggestions to get rid of rid of this problem. thanks to all guy's, Monish.
