    I know this question is already been asked a lot of times. I am buying new hard drive today, but I am worrying that it wont work on my motherboard Gigabyte GA-945PL-S3. I want to buy this hard drive. It's pretty expensive and I don't want to get dissapointed. But I have removed all cells in atableview before call 'reloadData'. I checked the content of fileArray which is the data source of atableview and found that everything is correct except the display on atableview. Welcome any comment. Thanks interdev

    I noticed this today and it seems to be a service that will compete with Amazon S3 and Microsoft’s Azure Blob storage. It’s only open to US developers for now, but I have one burning question: can we transfer directly from Google Storage to another Google service (like YouTube, Docs, etc) without incurring any transfer charges?  The even bigger question is whether all of the APIs will be updated to include this new service and to better amalgamate the existing app services with this one, since storage is so central to everything, it seems to beg the question. via Daring Fireball more later - joel

  • Internet Explorer 10 aborting some stylesheets

    Strange problem exhibited only with IE10 on Windows 8. No other IE version, no other OS version. Some stylesheets are aborted, apparently in transport, intermittently. This seems to happen when there are three <link> tags in sequence. The tags are correctly specified and are being served from Amazon S3 over HTTPS. The first two items abort when (or prior to) loading. Altering the order of the items appears to make the first two items abort in all cases. This problem is intermittent, and different people can reproduce with differing success. I have seen a lot of conjecture about this on the web but no solution.

  • Preventing pop-up dialogs when connecting an MTP device

    I'm using Lubuntu 14.04 with a Samsung Galaxy S3 running Android 4.3. Each time I connect my phone via USB, I get the following dialog: Unable to open MTP device '[usb:002,023]' A few moments later, I get the "Removable medium is inserted" dialog, prompting me to open in File Manager. After that, the phone is connected and fully accessible. So MTP works. The problem is that I plug in my phone to charge every time I sit down, and unplug it every time I step away. Dismissing these two dialogs every time is a pain. I would think the "Removable medium" dialog is the easier candidate. How do I tell Ubuntu to take no action and stop prompting me? For the MTP error, all the discussion I can find is for people who can't get MTP working at all. For me, it's working, but only after throwing this initial error. I've verified that my device is present in /lib/udev/rules.d/69-libmtp.rules

But there are so many services (S3, EC2, etc etc), I cant figure out which service is for web hosting, which service is for what use, their docs is so huge, I am confused, what to read. can anybody write some good points, about which service to use specifically for Java apps, how much I will be charged, and they ask for credit/debit card credential for signup, does it mean they will debit me even in the free period?

    Cassandra & HBase both do not efficiently support storage of blobs like images. Storing directly on HDFS stresses the Namenode because of huge number of files. Facebook uses Haystack for images and attachments storage, but this is not open source. So is Lustre a good choice for distributed blob storage? I have read that Amazon S3 is used by many, but this would cost money and personally, I would not like to rely on third party system. What are other suggestions?

    i have problem. My bootable usb stick not boots any linux distribution.. it just stop at BIOS, like before turning on OS, but it does nothing. Windows xp/7/8.1 installs boots perfectly. It stopped booting every linux dist. after windows 8.1 installation. Later i deleted windows 8.1 and installed windows 7, and now i want to install ubuntu from usb, but i cant(From disk every linuxOS boots perfectly but not from usb) My computer now is like ~7years old. Specs: CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-M56S-S3 Video card: Nvidia n210 EDIT: It boots on my other laptop..its bootable, but from this.. NOpe, only windows installs

    I'm trying to deploy a Java Application to AWS free tier. I need the following: RDS provider. Using MySQL client S3 service. This is required for the Lucene Index and image uploading SES service. I need to be able to send emails to new registered users. Namecheap is my domain provider. EC2 instance Elastic Beanstalk instance. I managed to create an EC2 instance, upload the WAR file and link it to the Namecheap domain. However I find it difficult to link the other instances to the current application. I find the documentation a little messy and I can't find the right way to do this. Can you provide a simple walk through to deployment for this use case? Thanks!

    I noticed that my 11.10 does not hibernate. When I hibernate, and starts PC, it doesn't restore all my open apps etc. Its like a shutdown ... why might that be?     To transfer files from my Android phone to Ubuntu, I use an app that creates a FTP server on the phone. Copying files to Ubuntu 12.04 (same with 12.10) I get up to 260 KB/s. Copying files to Windows 7 I get up to 1050 KB/s. I am currently on a fresh install of 12.10 with barely anything installed with the same results. I have tested with both a Galaxy S3 and HTC Desire HD with identical results. I have tested about 5 apps with the same results. Why is it slow on Ubuntu?

For example <img src="../../../../images/upload/1/test.jpg /> would need to become <img src="http://s3.amazonaws.com/website/images/upload/1/test.jpg" /> I was thinking of writing this as a rails helper, and just passing the entire block into the method, and make using Nokogiri or Hpricot to parse the HTML instead, but I don't really know. All is fine except of when code is falling with exception i see Version Information: Microsoft .NET Framework Version:2.0.50727.3053; ASP.NET Version:2.0.50727.3053 but at project properties 3.5 is selected. what is wrong and how to fix it? ps: i'm running code directly from VS2008 (by pressing ctrl+f5) without any dedicated IIS.
