    I installed IIS 7.5 (Windows 7) on two different PCs, one PC saves configuration to applicationHost.config and the other to web.config! Screenshot: As you can see, the PC on the left does not contain the settings (they are stored in applicationHost.config) and the PC to the right does in fact store the settings in web.config. I have not and hope not to modify the configuration files by hand and would like to do it using IIS Manager only. Does anyone know why this happens or if there is some setting to force configuration to the web.config file? Thank you. Edit: I am adding a screenshot of the applicationHost.config file (PC on the left) demonstrating how the configuration is stored in it instead of inside the web.config file.

    Hi, We have several identical several servers in a hosting company. They run Windows 2003 R2 Std SP2 64bit. The servers are not in a domain. We have recently received a new server with the same configuration and hardware. However, the new server is different in some way. When we run "gpedit.msc /s" there are much less options in the tree than the other servers. Specifically we are missing the configuration of "Terminal Services". Many other items are missing under "Administrative templates" and "Windows components".     Update: I fixed the issue. But I don't see eth0 directory in /sys/class/net Any idea how to fix that? I could not bring up eth0 and I need it badly so that I can backup everything over the network since I'm working on VM console. This virtual machine sda1 is stuck. I've tried e2fsck and fsck and both gets stuck after "Clone multiply-claimed blocls? yes" I've waited for around 5 to 8 hours and it still the same. I could not mount the filesystem without fixing these errors. I'm doing this after un-mounting all filesystems in rescue mode.. Reboot does not help. Any suggestions?     About an year ago I installed gnome fonts on my MacBook Pro and I use them for Terminal.app Today I was using Terminal with three windows open and suddenly the app has quit (I don't know if I accidentally pressed command+q) but when I reopened the application fonts looks strange. I had a screenshot taken before the accident I did the same screenshot now and here's the result I don't know what's happened, I tried to reinstall the fonts, restarted the computer, but with no luck. One more thing, I use an external screen, I read some posts regarding font issues with external monitors but I had this monitor before this accident and everything worked fine until now. Please help me to solve this because my eyes were used to that font and now it looks weird to see this different font

    I'm looking for a nice short easy way to create a series of thumbnails for any given video file. I'm almost there using ffmpeg, here's what I have: ffmpeg -i /tmp/video.avi -r 1 -ss 60 -r 1 foo-%03d.jpeg` The only problem is that this takes a shot every second and I'd like to make it every minute or so. I tried setting the -r value to 1/60 or .02 to no avail. For reference, here's the old script I was using that only worked for some files: #!/bin/bash # grab a screenshot every 60 seconds file=$1 orig_dir=`pwd` mins=`exiftool "$file" | grep "Duration" | awk -F : '{print $2}' | grep --only-matching '[0-9]*'` dir="$file-screenshots" mkdir "$dir" cd "$dir" mplayer -vo png -vf screenshot -sstep 60 -frames $mins -ao null "../$file" cd "$orig_dir" This doesn't have to be on the command line, it's just that it always ends up being easiest.

  • How can I mount .IMG floppy disk images which are not 1.44MB or any other floppy format?

    I have several .IMG files, but they are different sizes which do not comform to any floppy disk format, i.e. not 1.44MB, 720K, 2.88MB... these .IMG files are like 420K, 832K, etc. Additional info: Winimage, rar, Magic ISO... none of these worked. The files I want to download are located in www.vetusware.com under DBMSOracle6. They are 2 files in rar format, but when I extract the rar's, I get forty-two .IMG files with varied sizes, not 1.44MB, etc. If anyone could please give it a try and succeed in mounting or reading the extractd IMG files, I would appreciate you letting me know how you achieved it, I really need this legacy Oracle 6/DOS version!..     I have the same Problem as described here: Disable spell checking in Internet Explorer 10 (Windows 8) My system: Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit What I've already done: Deactivating the spelling options: (There may be minor differences between the following screenshot and the actual 8.1 display. I copied it from here because I own a German Version and I therefore thought that an English one would be simpler to understand.) I turned both options off and tried to restart IE. It's still "correcting" my texts. Searching for 'spelling correction' addons As said in the picture, this entry does not exist on my PC. (The following screenshot is taken from here) Is there any way of disabling it? I prefer an "official" solution if one is available. Otherwise, I also take any registry involving Solutions.

Its translation is roughtly: Blocks the cookies without a compact version of the privacy's informative. I don't get which cookies are blocked. From that description, it seems the cookies should include a compact description of the privacy informative, but I don't get how cookies can contain that information, or what happens with cookies set from sites outside the European Union. What cookies are blocked? The screenshot has been taken from Internet Explorer 9, but that words were used also from previous versions. The settings are the ones shown for the "Privacy" tab; I don't recall if the English version calls that tab the same way. EDIT, English screenshot .

    Hi, I have a problem with Pidgin 2.5.2 in Linux (Ubuntu 8.10). When someone sends me a message no sound is played (the tray indicates a new message and blinks, that's it). Sounds play fine when I send someone a message. If I preview the Message received and Message sent sound events both of them do make a sound.     So I plugged an F5D7000 Belkin desktop wireless adapter into my desktop. Here is a picture of it: I did a Google search and found the drivers. I installed the latest version - (F5D7000 - Driver - Version 8xxx), and the NIC is still unrecognized as per the next screenshot: Does anyone have any ideas on how to get this working? I'm running Windows XP SP3 32-bit. (I have taken a screenshot but without network connectivity I can't email it or post it anywhere and I don't have a USB stick.)

  • Is there a way to insert a formatted calculation into Excel 2010 without using an image?

    I am maintaining a list of database column names, notes, and their calculations in an Excel 2010 spreadsheet. The calculations are included so as to document how to derive the values for the various columns and not for calculations within the spreadsheet. I have been entering the calculations into the cells simply as unformatted text like so: 100 - ((FiscalYearRegionConsumption - BaselineRegionConsumption) / (GoalRegionConsumption - BaselineRegionConsumption)) * 100 However, for long and/or complex calculations this could become rather unreadable. To improve readability and comprehension I would like to "pretty" print the calculation in an Excel cell. This would result in formatting that would like like this: The only solution I have come up with is to: Write the calculation in another application such as Word Take a screenshot of said calculation Past the screenshot into Excel The primary concern with this approach is maintenance. Should the calculation change or need correction I have to update two different sources of information. Is there a better way included a formatted calculation into an Excel cell?
