• c# resize window over display resolution

  I am total newbie in .Net programming so be patient, please ;-). I have problem with resizing window. I want to resize from my app other app's window and take screenshot of it. I do resizing based on this example: http://blogs.geekdojo.net/richard/archive/2003/09/24/181.aspx. But I have a problem. I work on a laptop with 1024x640 pixels screen resolution but I want to resize my window to 1200x1600 px. I can't do that couse display limitations. Is there any tricky solution to resize window for this resolution and take a screenshot of whole window? I've alos tried Sdesk program witch is suggested here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/445893/create-window-larger-than-desktop-display-resolution. Any help?

• Wrong bbox or descent with @font-face and opentype font

  Hey all, I embedded a opentype font with @font-face. Works fine, but the bbox or descent (or baseline/descent line?) is wrong on certain browsers/OSs. The problem is e.g. on a Mac the bbox is not right, that means to center the text in it's bbox I have to set a padding to the paragraph. I guess the font was created on Windows and was not tested on Linux and OS X, and the font rendering engines in these OSs work diffrently. Any idea how to solve withs problem? • Is Eclipse Remote System Explorer broken on Windows?

  I have the following setup on Windows 7 Ultimate x64: Eclipse Indigo 2.7.2 (Build: M20120208-0800) Remote System Explorer 3.3.2 (see screenshot) (Oracle/Sun) Java 1.6 Update 31 (x86) Despite all my best efforts I am unable to connect to a remote system (a Centos 5.6 server on my local LAN) using a Remote System Explorer SSH connection - I've tried both password authentication and using my SSH private key. Here is a screenshot of both the Eclipse error dialogue and what is logged in my /var/log/secure log file: /var/log/secure: Apr 1 12:00:21 nagios sshd[6176]: Received disconnect from 172.16.3.88: 3: com.jcraft.jsch.JSchException: Auth fail When I connect for the first time I do get prompted to verify the authenticity of the remote host and the RSA key fingerprint. But that's as far as things go. Performing the same operation with the same credentials on my Fedora Core 16 box (also running the same version of Eclipse and Java) to the same server is successful. This leads me to believe that RSE SSH support on Windows is either broken or there's some piece of the SSH-on-Windows puzzle I'm missing. Is this the case?

• Subclipse CollabNet Myster Icon

  The scenario is that I'm merging a series of cherry picked revisions from on SVN branch into trunk. I'm using the subclipse CollabNet client to do the merge. Everything works great, except for in addition to the files I picked to merge, my working directory shows a series of changes that svn thinks have changed but that I haven't chosen to merge. If I do a diff on the files in question it tells me there's no differences. If I do a commit, I get the screenshot below, with the mystery icon I haven't been able to find document anywhere. • Problem with notification bar in fullscreen app

  I run an app in fullscreen mode where fullscreen is defined as a theme in xml for the entire app. <style name="AskTingTingTheme" parent="android:Theme"> <item name="android:windowNoTitle">true</item> <item name="android:windowFullscreen">true</item> <item name="android:windowBackground">@null</item> </style> Generally it works ok, but there are some issues in some cases: 1) when I open the search dialog via search button - Screenshot: http://tinyurl.com/3xzadft 2) when I open spinner widgets that are very long and fill the screen (so that the list is usually scrollable) - Screenshot: http://tinyurl.com/39q5ya2 The problem is that when I open the search dialog or spinner widget, the system notification bar occurs for a few millisecs and then scrolls off the screen again. Please see the screenshots linked above. I'm currently on 2.2 with NexusOne, but same thing happened on 2.1update1 (esp. case 2) as well before.

• Dreamweaver utf-8 encoded php page displays wrong chinese character in IE and Chrome, correct in FF

  I have an issue with character encoding: I have this page: http://www.studiomille.jp/class/ (its in japanese but the character in question is from chinese i think) FF shows it correctly, IE (all versions) and Chrome doesn't (sorry larger screenshots): FF Screenshot: IE Screenshot: (there are other character that are different throughout the site, this is just one example) Everything is set to UTF-8: * PHP sends header: Content-Type:text/html; charset=UTF-8 * PHP starts with: mb_language('uni'); mb_internal_encoding('UTF-8'); * meta tag: <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"/> * all files are saved with UTF-8 encoding with DreamWeaver CS3 * the same font is used in all the browsers. On that page nothing comes from the db, everything is hard coded. The site has the same behavior on my localhost too. So why only FF gets it right and how can I make it work on IE also?

• Poorly rendered text (NSFont) in MacRuby/Cocoa. Any advice?

  I have a small MacRuby app that displays some text inside a NSTextView. I have a method called make_label() that builds an NSTextView with some text and returns it, which I use to add to another NSView via addSubview() make_label() looks like this: def make_label( x, y, width, height, color, font_size, text ) label = NSTextView.alloc.initWithFrame( NSMakeRect( x, y, width, height) ) font = NSFont.systemFontOfSize(font_size) label.setFont( font ) label.insertText( text ) label.setTextColor( color ) label.setDrawsBackground(false) label.setRichText(true) label.setEditable(false) label.setSelectable(false) label end My question is, how come my text looks so poorly rendered? To show the images , i have made one table and i have put labels in that and then i am setting the icon at the label. Now as soon as user click on the any image, then that image i put on big label. But this works perfect on mouse click but client want that , if user navigate the by keyboard arrow keys then in same should be happen. Means : User navigate by key board then it should reflect on that table [user should know that which is currently seleted ] and then as soon as the user navigate by key board arrow events and then click enter then that image should reflect on big label. • How do I remove duplicate SQL Server 2008 instances after upgrading from SQL Server 2005?

  I've just upgraded an existing SQL Server 2005 to 2008 by running the installer (not the platform installer). It all seems to have worked - there were no errors reported and my code that connects to these databases still works fine. The problem is, when I try installing SQL Server Management Studio Express 2008 I am shown then following error message when I select to add new features to an existing instance of SQL Server 2008: The SQL Server instance 'SQL1MINUS102' already has an Instance ID '2' that is different than the specified Instance ID 'SQL1MINUS102'. Specifying more than one instance ID for the same SQL Server instance is not supported. Here is a screenshot of the installation dialog and the setup discovery report: Screenshot Notice that there are two instances with the same name. So any ideas how I should recifiy this so that I can install Management studio? Thanks in advance

And was able to perform the rotation using TrackballDecorator 3D Tools library.   I need help please with writing a sproc, it takes a table-valued parameter @Locations, whose Type is defined as follows: CREATE TYPE [dbo].[tvpLocation] AS TABLE( [CountryId] [int] NULL, [ResortName] [nvarchar](100) NULL, [Ordinal] [int] NOT NULL, PRIMARY KEY CLUSTERED ( [Ordinal] ASC )WITH (IGNORE_DUP_KEY = OFF) ) @Locations will contain at least 1 row. Each row WILL have a non-null CountryId, and MAY have a non-null ResortName. Each row will have a unique Ordinal, the first being 0. The combinations of CountryId and ResortName in @Locations will be unique. The sproc needs to search against the following table structure. The image can be seen better by right-clicking it and View Image, or similar depending on your browser. Now this is where I'm stuck, the sproc should be able to find Tours where: The Tour's 1st TourHotel (Ordinal 0) has the same CountryId (and ResortName if specified) of the 1st row of @Locations (Ordinal 0). And also if @Locations has 1 row, the Tour must have additional TourHotels, ALL of which must be in the remaining CountryIds (and ResortNames if specified) of these remaining @Locations rows. • [iOS] How to catch cancallation of UIScrollView or others?

  Sometimes, interruptions such as phone call occur and disturb a regular behavior of an app in iPhone or iPad. For example, I created one UIScrollView instance and implemented UIScrollView delegate methods: scrollViewWillBeginDragging and scrollViewDidEndDragging(and scrollViewDidEndDecelerating). A scrollViewWillBeginDragging method deactivated all custom buttons in my app. Then scrollViewDidEndDragging and scrollViewDidEndDecelerating methods activated these custom buttons. That is, while the user scrolled, all custom buttons became deactivated for a while. The problem was that while the user started to drag and just held an UIScrollView instance, if I took a screenshot by pressing a home button and a power button, then any of scrollViewDidEndDragging and scrollViewDidEndDecelerating didn't get called. So the app became messed up. I implemented a UIApplicationWillResignActiveNotification method in my UIViewController, but it didn't get called after taking a screenshot. How can I catch any kind of interruption that disturbs a regular flow of events? Sometimes, touchesEnd and touchesCanceled didn't get called too due to an interruption. Thank you.

  I'm trying to figure out what this sort of thing is called, and eventually how I can create one in a web browser. It looks like this (screenshot of the first app that came to mind): The specific component/pattern I'm looking for is the two list boxes ("Included Gear" and "Excluded Gear") that represent inclusion/exclusion of items from a set. I'm not really looking for the WPF name (if there is one) but it might be helpful. I am looking for the name of this thingy, if there is one, and if you really want to make my day, you can point me toward a jQuery or YUI way of making one of these dealies in a browser. In case you were wondering, the screenshot is a World of Warcraft gear optimization program. Go figure why it was the first program that came to mind when I was trying to think of an example.

• Strange Rendering in Firefox

  I've just noticed when loading my client's page (http://habbopfm.com/) in Firefox, that it renders what looks like a rectangle is pushed down a few pixels. It's difficult to describe, but imagine you took a screenshot of the page, opened it in Photoshop, selected a rectangle and moved it down a bit. IE and Safari don't appear to do this - I'm assuming this is a browser glitch, not a problem with the code. Can anyone confirm what causes this? Below is a screenshot taken of the issue: http://habbopfm.com/problem.png One other thing is that it only does this once the page has finished loading. While it is loading, it looks fine.

Strangely, the image displays in the other divs where it is used (since it's a sprite, I'm using that same image for #modal-top-border and #modal-btm-border). In all other browsers it displays properly, and even in IE8. I cannot seem to find what CSS rule (or lack thereof) I may be using that IE7 is choking on. • SSIS code smell – Unused columns in the dataflow

  A code smell is defined on Wikipedia as being a “symptom in the source code of a program that possibly indicates a deeper problem”. It’s a term commonly used by our code-writing brethren to describe sub-optimal code but I think the term can be applied equally well to SSIS packages too as I shall now explain One of my pet hates about SSIS development is packages that throw warnings of the form: The output column "ColumnName" (1358) on output "OLE DB Source Output" (1289) and component "OLE_SRC Name" (1279) is not subsequently used in the Data Flow task. Removing this unused output column can increase Data Flow task performance.  The warning is fairly self-explanatory – any column that appears in the data flow but doesn’t get used will throw this warning when the data flow is executed. Its not the negligible performance degradation that they cause that bothers me though, it’s the clutter that they cause in your log file/table. Take a look at the following screenshot if you don’t believe me: There are 231409 such warnings in the system that I took this screenshot from, that is 231409 log records that should not be there. The most infuriating thing about this warning is that it is so easily avoidable; eliminating such columns is a very quick and easy thing to do in the SSIS Designer. The only problem I see is that the warnings don’t occur until you execute the package – it would be preferable for the designer to have an unobtrusive way of informing you of them as well. Anyway, I digress… I consider such warnings to be a code smell because, to me, they’re symptomatic of a lack of due care and attention; a lack of developer discipline if you will. • how to solve eclipse's Type The project was not built due to "Could not delete

  when I change a properties file's content, Eclipse always show error,say "Description Resource Path Location Type The project was not built due to "Could not delete '/lichong-test-tester/target/test-classes/config'.". Fix the problem, then try refreshing this project and building it since it may be inconsistent lichong-test-tester Unknown Java Problem ".
