  • PHP, MVC, 404 - How can I redirect to 404?

    - by Doug
I'm trying to build my own MVC as a practice and learning experience. So far, this is what I have: <?php require "config.php"; $page = $_GET['page']; if( isset( $page ) ) { echo "isset is true"; if( file_exists( MVCROOT . "/$page.php" ) ) { include "$page.php"; } else { header("HTTP/1.0 404 Not Found"); } } ?> My problem here is, I can't use header to send to a 404 because the headers have been send already. Should I just redirect to a 404.html or is there a better way? Feel free to critique what I have so far (it's very little). I would love suggestions and ideas. Thanks!

  • Mod_Rewrite: Testing URL got indexed in Google - How do I create a proper 301 redirect?

    - by Jonathan Wold
I worked on a website for which I had a "development URL" that looked something like this: www.domainname.com.php5-9.dfw1-2.websitetestlink.com/ Now, several weeks after the website launch, there is at least one page of content indexed on Google with that URL. Question: How do I redirect all requests from that test URL to reroute to the actual domain? So, for instance, I would want: www.domainname.com.php5-9.dfw1-2.websitetestlink.com/page-name To go to: www.domainname.com/page-name The website is powered by WordPress and hosted on a PHP server. I've experimented with .htaccess without much success.

  • Nginx logic (if cookie set, redirect here...) Is it possible?

    - by Matthew Steiner
So, I have a pretty basic need, but I can't figure out if it's even possible, much less how to do it. I have a main page that anyone can see. Most of the rest of the application can be seen only if logged in (hence, a "set cookie"). So I was thinking, as long as they don't have a cookie set, they can just see a cached version of nginx. I can get it caching with this: proxy_cache STATIC; proxy_cache_valid 200 1d; proxy_cache_use_stale error timeout invalid_header updating http_500 http_502 http_503 http_504; And it helps a ton. (instead of 15 requests per second it gets over 1000). Now I just need some sort of "server logic" to say only serve the cached page if they have no cookie, otherwise, load the dynamic page (which will automatically redirect them into the app). Any ideas?

  • How to redirect to the current page with form in php?

    - by garcon1986
Hello, I tried to redirect to the current page with form in my php application. Now i have met a problem. <form name="myform" action="?page=matching" method="GET"> <input id="match_button" type="submit" name="button" value="button" onClick="func_load3()" /> </form> action="?page=matching" means the current page, because i use the single entry in my php application. With the code upon, When i click the button, it redirects to the homepage. And I tried to use: <form name="myform" action="<?php echo $_SERVER['PHP_SELF']; ?>" method="GET"> but it still doesn't work. So i have to ask for help from you. Do you have any ideas about that? How to fix it? Thanks in advance.

  • Programmatically login to a website and redirect the user to the logged in page?

    - by Santhosh
Hi, Right now, I have all the employees of my company login to an external website using the company id, username and a password. We are trying to integrate it into an intranet portal which should provide seamless access to this website without requiring the user to enter these credentials. Is there any way of doing this programmatically (.NET C#)? Very similar to screenscraping, Can I simulate the appropriate POST action and then redirect the user to the logged in page? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

  • How can I redirect all traffic from one domain to another with an .htaccess file?

    - by George Edison
Say I have a subdomain xxx.yyy.com running Apache. The files are stored in /home/someone/public_html/xxx. What I want to do is redirect all requests to a domain name zzz.com which is using the same location for its files. (In other words, xxx.yyy.com and zzz.com are aliases for each other) I just want people accessing zzz.com, so if someone goes to xxx.yyy.com they should be redirected to zzz.com. Can this easily be done with a rewrite rule in an .htaccess file?

  • Redirect to Apache built-in 404 page with mod_rewrite?

    - by Pekka
Is there a way to actively serve Apache's default, built-in 404 page for a number of URLs using mod_rewrite? Not a custom error document, but a rule like RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^/dirname/pagename RewriteRule -- serve 404 page ----- I know how to build a PHP page that sends the 404 header and have mod_rewrite redirect all the URLs there but I would prefer a solution that is based on mod_rewrite only. I just had the idea of redirecting to a non-existent address: RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^/dirname/pagename RewriteRule .* /sflkadsölfkasdfölkasdflökasdf but that would give the user the message "/sflkadsölfkasdfölkasdflökasdf does not exist" on the error page, which looks a bit unprofessional.

  • How to make shell output redirect (>) write while script is still running?

    - by Noio
I wrote a short script that never terminates. This script continuously generates output that I have to check on every now and then. I'm running it on a lab computer through SSH, and redirecting the output to a file in my public_html folder on that machine. python script.py > ~/public_html/results.txt However, the results don't show up immediately when I refresh the address. The results show up when I terminate the program, but as I said, it doesn't halt by itself. Is that redirect (>) being lazy with with writing? Is there a way to continuously (or with an interval) update the results in the file? Or is it the webserver that doesn't update the file while it is still being written?

  • Chester Devs Presentation and source code &ndash; &lsquo;Event Store - an introduction to a DSD for event sourcing and notifications&rsquo;

Presentation and source code My presentation, source code, Event Store runners and text files containing the various command line parameters used for curl is now available on GitHub; https://github.com/westleyl/ChesterDevs-EventStore. Don’t worry if you don’t have a GitHub account, you don’t need one, you can just click on the Download Zip button on the right hand menu to download all the files as a single ZIP file.  If all you want is the PowerPoint presentation, go to https://github.com/westleyl/ChesterDevs-EventStore/blob/master/Powerpoint/Huddle-EventStore.pptx, and click on the View Raw button. Downloading and installing Event Store and Tools Download Event Store http://download.geteventstore.com – I unzipped these files into C:\EventStore\v2.0.1 Download Curl from http://curl.haxx.se/download.html – I downloaded Win64 Generic (with SSL) and unzipped these files into C:\curl version 7.31.0 Running the tools I used in my presentation Demonstration 1 (running Event Store) You can use one of my Event Store runner command files to run the single node version of Event Store, using default ports of 2213 for HTTP and 1113  for TCP, and with a wildcard HTTP pattern.  Both take a single command line parameter to specify the location of the data and log files.  The runners assume the single node executable is located in C:\EventStore\v2.0.1, and will placed data files and logs beneath C:\EventStore\Data, i.e. RunEventStore.cmd TestData1 This will create data files in C:\EventStore\Data\TestData1\Data and log files in C:\EventStore\Data\TestData1\logs. If, when running Event Store you may see the following message, [03288,15,06:23:00.622] Failed to start http server Access is denied You will either need to run Event Store in an administrator console window, or you can use the netsh command to create a firewall permission to allow HTTP listening (this will need to be run, once, in an administrator console window), netsh http add urlacl url=http://*:2213/ user=liam You can always delete this later by running the delete; netsh http delete urlacl url=http://*:2213/ If you want to confirm that everything is running OK, open the management console in a browser by navigating to http://127.0.0.1:2213. If at any point you are asked for a user name and password use the default of ‘admin’/‘changeit’. Demonstration 2 (reading and adding data, curl) In my second demonstration I used curl directly from the console to read streams, write events and then read back those events. On GitHub I have included is a set of curl commands, CurlCommandLine.txt, and a sample data file, SampleData.json, to load an event into a DDDNorth3 stream. As there is not much data in the Event Store at this point I used the $stats-127.0.0.1:2113 which is a stream containing performance statistics for Event Store and is updated every 30 seconds (default). Demonstration 3 (projections) On GitHub I have included a sample projection, Projection-ByRoom.txt, which will create streams based on the room on which a session was held on the DDDNorth3 agenda. Browse to the management console, http://127.0.0.1:2213.  Click on Projections, New Projection, give it a name, Sessions-ByRoom, and copy in the JavaScript in the Projection-ByRoom.txt file.  Select Continuous, tick Emit Enabled and then click on Post. It should run immediately. You may by challenged for the administration login for the management console, if so use the default user name and password; 'admin'/'changeit'. Demonstration 4 (C# client) The final demonstration was the Visual Studio 2012 project using the Event Store client – referenced directly as C:\EventStore\v2.0.1\EventStore.ClientAPI.dll, although you can switch this to the latest Event Store client NuGet package. The source code provides a console app for viewing projections with the projection manager (HTTP connection), as well as containing a full set of data for the entire DDDNorth3 agenda.  It also deals with the strategy for reading newest events backwards to older events and ignoring older events that have been superseded. And lastly, a thank you to all those delegates who gave up their free time on a Saturday to spend a day dashing between lecture rooms, including a late change to my room which saw 40 people having to brave a journey between buildings in the fine drizzle. • How can I create a graph of Nginx responses by HTTP status code?

    - by rmh
I'm looking to create a graph somewhat similar to this: But instead of graphing requests, graph responses, with a line for each HTTP response code (200 OK, 404 Not Found, 500 Server Error, etc). Creating the graph isn't the issue (use RRDtool, Server Density or something similar), but how can I best retrieve this information from Nginx? Unfortunately, this data isn't available on the page generated by NginxHttpStubStatusModule. If it was, this would be pretty easy.

  • How to stop a ICMP attack?

    - by cumhur onat
We are under a heavy icmp flood attack. Tcpdump shows the result below. Altough we have blocked ICMP with iptables tcpdump still prints icmp packets. • Nginx with Passenger setup problems

    - by Kreeki
I'm trying to setup nginx webserver with Passenger support for Ruby on Rails application on Ubuntu 10.04 (on sub URI). All went fine until I tried to access the server/application from the browser. My instalation of nginx is in location /opt/nginx # my nginx.conf server { listen 80; server_name www.mydomain.com; root /websites/site/public; passenger_enabled on; passenger_base_uri /site; location / { # added by default, I don't know if its supposed to be here or not root html; index index.html index.htm; } Then I started the server. But when I put www.mydomain.com/site in browser I get 404 Not Found error. Error.log shows this: 2011/03/04 10:07:07 [error] 21387#0: *2 open() "/opt/nginx/html/favicon.ico" failed (2: No such file or directory), client: 90.182.7.150, server: www.mydomain.com, request: "GET /favicon.ico HTTP/1.1", host: "80.79.23.71", referrer: "http://80.79.23.71/" 2011/03/04 10:07:07 [error] 21387#0: *2 open() "/opt/nginx/html/404.html" failed (2: No such file or directory), client: 90.182.7.150, server: www.mydomain.com, request: "GET /favicon.ico HTTP/1.1", host: "80.79.23.71", referrer: "http://80.79.23.71/" 2011/03/04 10:07:11 [error] 21387#0: *4 open() "/opt/nginx/html/favicon.ico" failed (2: No such file or directory), client: 90.182.7.150, server: www.mydomain.com, request: "GET /favicon.ico HTTP/1.1", host: "80.79.23.71:80", referrer: "http://80.79.23.71:80/" 2011/03/04 10:07:11 [error] 21387#0: *4 open() "/opt/nginx/html/404.html" failed (2: No such file or directory), client: 90.182.7.150, server: www.mydomain.com, request: "GET /favicon.ico HTTP/1.1", host: "80.79.23.71:80", referrer: "http://80.79.23.71:80/" 2011/03/04 10:07:13 [error] 21387#0: *5 open() "/opt/nginx/html/site" failed (2: No such file or directory), client: 90.182.7.150, server: www.mydomain.com, request: "GET /site HTTP/1.1", host: "80.79.23.71:80" 2011/03/04 10:07:13 [error] 21387#0: *5 open() "/opt/nginx/html/404.html" failed (2: No such file or directory), client: 90.182.7.150, server: www.mydomain.com, request: "GET /site HTTP/1.1", host: "80.79.23.71:80" 2011/03/04 10:07:15 [error] 21387#0: *6 open() "/opt/nginx/html/site" failed (2: No such file or directory), client: 90.182.7.150, server: www.mydomain.com, request: "GET /site HTTP/1.1", host: "80.79.23.71:80" 2011/03/04 10:07:15 [error] 21387#0: *6 open() "/opt/nginx/html/404.html" failed (2: No such file or directory), client: 90.182.7.150, server: www.mydomain.com, request: "GET /site HTTP/1.1", host: "80.79.23.71:80" 2011/03/04 10:07:19 [error] 21387#0: *7 open() "/opt/nginx/html/site" failed (2: No such file or directory), client: 90.182.7.150, server: www.mydomain.com, request: "GET /site HTTP/1.1", host: "80.79.23.71:80" 2011/03/04 10:07:19 [error] 21387#0: *7 open() "/opt/nginx/html/404.html" failed (2: No such file or directory), client: 90.182.7.150, server: www.mydomain.com, request: "GET /site HTTP/1.1", host: "80.79.23.71:80" Why does nginx look for site in /opt/nginx/html/site as log shows when there's another path set in nginx.conf? Any idea whats wrong with my setup?

  • Pinning based on origin of a reprepro repository.

    - by Shtééf
I'm on Ubuntu 10.04, and trying to set up a repository using reprepro. I'd also like the pin everything in that repository to be preferred over anything else, even if packages are older versions. (It will only contain a select set of packages.) However, I cannot seem to get the pinning to work, and believe it has something to do with the repository side of things, rather than the apt configuration on the client. I've taken the following steps to set up my repository Installed a web server (my personal choice here is Cherokee), Created the directory /var/www/apt/, Created the file conf/distributions, like so: Origin: Shteef Label: Shteef Suite: lucid Version: 10.04 Codename: lucid Architectures: i386 amd64 source Components: main Description: My personal repository Ran reprepro export from the /var/www/apt/ directory. Now on any other machine, I can add this (empty) repository over HTTP to my /etc/apt/sources.list, and run apt-get update without any errors: Ign http://archive.lan lucid Release.gpg Ign http://archive.lan/apt/ lucid/main Translation-en_US Get:1 http://archive.lan lucid Release [2,244B] Ign http://archive.lan lucid/main Packages Ign http://archive.lan lucid/main Sources Ign http://archive.lan lucid/main Packages Ign http://archive.lan lucid/main Sources Hit http://archive.lan lucid/main Packages Hit http://archive.lan lucid/main Sources In my case, now I want to use an old version of Asterisk, namely Asterisk 1.4. I rebuilt the asterisk-1:1.4.21.2~dfsg-3ubuntu2.1 package from Ubuntu 9.04 (with some small changes to fix dependencies) and uploaded it to my repository. At this point I can see the new package in aptitude, but it naturally prefers the newer Asterisk 1.6 currently in the Ubuntu 10.04 repositories. To try and fix that, I have created /etc/apt/preferences.d/personal like so: Package: * Pin: release o=Shteef Pin-Priority: 1000 But when I try to install the asterisk package, it will still prefer the 1.6 version over my own 1.4 version. This is what apt-cache policy asterisk shows: asterisk: Installed: (none) Candidate: 1:1.6.2.5-0ubuntu1 Version table: 1:1.6.2.5-0ubuntu1 0 500 http://nl.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ lucid/universe Packages 1:1.4.21.2~dfsg-3ubuntu2.1shteef1 0 500 http://archive.lan/apt/ lucid/main Packages Clearly, it is not picking up my pin. In fact, when I run just apt-cache policy, I get the following: Package files: 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status release a=now 500 http://archive.lan/apt/ lucid/main Packages origin archive.lan 500 http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ lucid-security/multiverse Packages release v=10.04,o=Ubuntu,a=lucid-security,n=lucid,l=Ubuntu,c=multiverse origin security.ubuntu.com [...] Unlike Ubuntu's repository, apt doesn't seem to pick up a release-line at all for my own repository. I'm suspecting this is the cause why I can't pin on release o=Shteef in my preferences file. But I can't find any noticable difference between my repository's Release files and Ubuntu's that would cause this. Is there a step I've missed or mistake I've made in setting up my repository?

    I'm setting up a Debian box as a router for 4 subnets. However, this is what I get: $ ping -c15 10.1.1.12 PING 10.1.1.12 (10.1.1.12): 56 data bytes Request timeout for icmp_seq 0 92 bytes from router2.mydomain.com (10.1.2.1): Redirect Host(New addr: 10.1.1.12) Vr HL TOS Len ID Flg off TTL Pro cks Src Dst 4 5 00 0054 81d4 0 0000 3f 01 e2b3 10.1.2.20 10.1.1.12 Request timeout for icmp_seq 1 92 bytes from router2.mydomain.com (10.1.2.1): Redirect Host(New addr: 10.1.1.12) Vr HL TOS Len ID Flg off TTL Pro cks Src Dst 4 5 00 0054 899b 0 0000 3f 01 daec 10.1.2.20 10.1.1.12 Request timeout for icmp_seq 2 92 bytes from router2.mydomain.com (10.1.2.1): Redirect Host(New addr: 10.1.1.12) Vr HL TOS Len ID Flg off TTL Pro cks Src Dst 4 5 00 0054 78fe 0 0000 3f 01 eb89 10.1.2.20 10.1.1.12 Request timeout for icmp_seq 3 92 bytes from router2.mydomain.com (10.1.2.1): Redirect Host(New addr: 10.1.1.12) Vr HL TOS Len ID Flg off TTL Pro cks Src Dst 4 5 00 0054 14b8 0 0000 3f 01 4fd0 10.1.2.20 10.1.1.12 Request timeout for icmp_seq 4 92 bytes from router2.mydomain.com (10.1.2.1): Redirect Host(New addr: 10.1.1.12) Vr HL TOS Len ID Flg off TTL Pro cks Src Dst 4 5 00 0054 8ef7 0 0000 3f 01 d590 10.1.2.20 10.1.1.12 Request timeout for icmp_seq 5 92 bytes from router2.mydomain.com (10.1.2.1): Redirect Host(New addr: 10.1.1.12) Vr HL TOS Len ID Flg off TTL Pro cks Src Dst 4 5 00 0054 ec9d 0 0000 3f 01 77ea 10.1.2.20 10.1.1.12 Request timeout for icmp_seq 6 92 bytes from router2.mydomain.com (10.1.2.1): Redirect Host(New addr: 10.1.1.12) Vr HL TOS Len ID Flg off TTL Pro cks Src Dst 4 5 00 0054 70e6 0 0000 3f 01 f3a1 10.1.2.20 10.1.1.12 Request timeout for icmp_seq 7 92 bytes from router2.mydomain.com (10.1.2.1): Redirect Host(New addr: 10.1.1.12) Vr HL TOS Len ID Flg off TTL Pro cks Src Dst 4 5 00 0054 b0d2 0 0000 3f 01 b3b5 10.1.2.20 10.1.1.12 Request timeout for icmp_seq 8 92 bytes from router2.mydomain.com (10.1.2.1): Redirect Host(New addr: 10.1.1.12) Vr HL TOS Len ID Flg off TTL Pro cks Src Dst 4 5 00 0054 f8b4 0 0000 3f 01 6bd3 10.1.2.20 10.1.1.12 Request timeout for icmp_seq 9 Request timeout for icmp_seq 10 92 bytes from router2.mydomain.com (10.1.2.1): Redirect Host(New addr: 10.1.1.12) Vr HL TOS Len ID Flg off TTL Pro cks Src Dst 4 5 00 0054 1c95 0 0000 3f 01 47f3 10.1.2.20 10.1.1.12 Request timeout for icmp_seq 11 Request timeout for icmp_seq 12 Request timeout for icmp_seq 13 92 bytes from router2.mydomain.com (10.1.2.1): Redirect Host(New addr: 10.1.1.12) Vr HL TOS Len ID Flg off TTL Pro cks Src Dst 4 5 00 0054 62bc 0 0000 3f 01 01cc 10.1.2.20 10.1.1.12 Why does this happen? From what I've read the Redirect Host response has something to do with the fact that the two hosts are in the same network and there being a shorter route (or so I understood). They are in fact in the same physical network, but why would there be a better route if they are not on the same subnet (they can't see each other)? What am I missing? • Why my Buffalo router keeps on sending rdp, netbios, ftp, http requests?

    - by user192702
    I have the following network setup: Buffalo Router (192.168.100.1) < Watchguard XTM21 (192.168.100.13) < PC For some reason I keep on seeing the following repeating on my XTM21's Traffic Monitor. While I have enabled Port Forwarding, none of the ports reported below were enabled. Can someone let me know why I'm seeing all of these? 2013-10-19 23:37:56 Deny 192.168.100.1 192.168.100.13 ftp/tcp 4013 21 0-External Firebox Denied 60 64 (Unhandled External Packet-00) proc_id="firewall" rc="101" tcp_info="offset 10 S 282700472 win 5840" Traffic 2013-10-19 23:37:59 Deny 192.168.100.1 192.168.100.13 http/tcp 2459 80 0-External Firebox Denied 60 64 (Unhandled External Packet-00) proc_id="firewall" rc="101" tcp_info="offset 10 S 296571237 win 5840" Traffic 2013-10-19 23:38:02 Deny 192.168.100.1 192.168.100.13 8000/tcp 3244 8000 0-External Firebox blocked ports 60 64 (Internal Policy) proc_id="firewall" rc="101" tcp_info="offset 10 S 298709937 win 5840" Traffic 2013-10-19 23:38:05 Deny 192.168.100.1 192.168.100.13 8000/tcp 3244 8000 0-External Firebox blocked ports 60 64 (Internal Policy) proc_id="firewall" rc="101" tcp_info="offset 10 S 298709937 win 5840" Traffic 2013-10-19 23:38:05 Deny 192.168.100.1 192.168.100.13 rdp/tcp 3896 3389 0-External Firebox Denied 60 64 (Unhandled External Packet-00) proc_id="firewall" rc="101" tcp_info="offset 10 S 290482691 win 5840" Traffic 2013-10-19 23:38:08 Deny 192.168.100.1 192.168.100.13 netbios-ns/udp 2110 137 0-External Firebox Denied 78 64 (Unhandled External Packet-00) proc_id="firewall" rc="101" Traffic 2013-10-19 23:38:32 Deny 192.168.100.1 192.168.100.13 ftp/tcp 4025 21 0-External Firebox Denied 60 64 (Unhandled External Packet-00) proc_id="firewall" rc="101" tcp_info="offset 10 S 321868558 win 5840" Traffic 2013-10-19 23:38:35 Deny 192.168.100.1 192.168.100.13 http/tcp 2471 80 0-External Firebox Denied 60 64 (Unhandled External Packet-00) proc_id="firewall" rc="101" tcp_info="offset 10 S 325918731 win 5840" Traffic 2013-10-19 23:38:38 Deny 192.168.100.1 192.168.100.13 8000/tcp 3256 8000 0-External Firebox blocked ports 60 64 (Internal Policy) proc_id="firewall" rc="101" tcp_info="offset 10 S 327854525 win 5840" Traffic 2013-10-19 23:38:41 Deny 192.168.100.1 192.168.100.13 8000/tcp 3256 8000 0-External Firebox blocked ports 60 64 (Internal Policy) proc_id="firewall" rc="101" tcp_info="offset 10 S 327854525 win 5840" Traffic 2013-10-19 23:38:41 Deny 192.168.100.1 192.168.100.13 rdp/tcp 3896 3389 0-External Firebox Denied 60 64 (Unhandled External Packet-00) proc_id="firewall" rc="101" tcp_info="offset 10 S 327101423 win 5840" Traffic 2013-10-19 23:38:44 Deny 192.168.100.1 192.168.100.13 netbios-ns/udp 2110 137 0-External Firebox Denied 78 64 (Unhandled External Packet-00) proc_id="firewall" rc="101" Traffic

  • Does PHP *have* to serialize/unserialize session data between each HTTP request? Or is there a sett

    - by Pete Alvin
I think I understand why sessions are evil but for snappy client user experience I don't want to have to re-query the database on each HTTP request. (As a comparision, Java servlets can effortlessly keep tons of session objects in memory.) Can PHP be set to do this or does it have to serialize because it runs from CGI/FastCGI and therefore by definition is a new process each time a request comes in? I will be running PHP using LAMP.

  • Force www. on multi domain site and retain http or https [closed]

    - by John Isaacks
I am using CakePHP which already contains an .htaccess file that looks like: <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> RewriteEngine on RewriteRule ^$ app/webroot/ [L] RewriteRule (.*) app/webroot/$1 [L] </IfModule> I want to force www. (unless it is a subdomain) to avoid duplicate content penalties. It needs to retain http or https Also This application will have multiple domains pointing to it. So the code needs to be able to work with any domain.

  • Remove redundant xml namespaces from soapenv:Body

    - by drachenstern
If you can tell me the magic google term that instantly gives me clarification, that would be helpful. Here's the part that's throwing an issue when I try to manually deserialize from a string: xsi:type="ns1:errorObject" xmlns:ns1="http://www.example.org/Version_3.0" xsi:type="ns2:errorObject" xmlns:ns2="http://www.example.org/Version_3.0" xsi:type="ns3:errorObject" xmlns:ns3="http://www.example.org/Version_3.0" Here's how I'm deserializing by hand to test it: (in an aspx.cs page with a label on the front to display the value in that I can verify by reading source) (second block of XML duplicates the first but without the extra namespaces) using System; using System.IO; using System.Text; using System.Xml; using System.Xml.Serialization; public partial class test : System.Web.UI.Page { protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { string sourceXml = @"<?xml version=""1.0""?> <InitiateActivityResponse xmlns=""http://www.example.org/Version_3.0""> <InitiateActivityResult> <errorObject errorString=""string 1"" eventTime=""2010-05-21T21:19:15.775Z"" nounType=""Object"" objectID=""object1"" xsi:type=""ns1:errorObject"" xmlns:ns1=""http://www.example.org/Version_3.0"" /> <errorObject errorString=""string 2"" eventTime=""2010-05-21T21:19:15.791Z"" nounType=""Object"" objectID=""object2"" xsi:type=""ns2:errorObject"" xmlns:ns2=""http://www.example.org/Version_3.0"" /> <errorObject errorString=""string 3"" eventTime=""2010-05-21T21:19:15.806Z"" nounType=""Object"" objectID=""object3"" xsi:type=""ns3:errorObject"" xmlns:ns3=""http://www.example.org/Version_3.0"" /> </InitiateActivityResult> </InitiateActivityResponse> "; No I won't post the WSDL, it's hosted behind a firewall, for a vertical stack product. No, I can't change the data sender. Is this somehow automagically handled elsewhere and I just don't know what I don't know? I think I want to do some sort of message sink leading into this method, to intercept the soapenv:Body, but obviously this is for errors, so I'm not going to get errors every time. I'm not entirely sure how to handle this, but some pointers would be nice.

  • How to support both HTTP and HTTPS channels in Flex/BlazeDS?

    - by digitalsanctum
I've been trying to find the right configuration for supporting both http/s requests in a Flex app. I've read all the docs and they allude to doing something like the following: <default-channels> <channel ref="my-secure-amf"> <serialization> <log-property-errors>true</log-property-errors> </serialization> </channel> <channel ref="my-amf"> <serialization> <log-property-errors>true</log-property-errors> </serialization> </channel> This works great when hitting the app via https but get intermittent communication failures when hitting the same app via http. Here's an abbreviated services-config.xml: <channel-definition id="my-amf" class="mx.messaging.channels.AMFChannel"> <endpoint url="http://{server.name}:{server.port}/{context.root}/messagebroker/amf" class="flex.messaging.endpoints.AMFEndpoint"/> <properties> <!-- HTTPS requests don't work on IE when pragma "no-cache" headers are set so you need to set the add-no-cache-headers property to false --> <add-no-cache-headers>false</add-no-cache-headers> <!-- Use to limit the client channel's connect attempt to the specified time interval. --> <connect-timeout-seconds>10</connect-timeout-seconds> </properties> </channel-definition> <channel-definition id="my-secure-amf" class="mx.messaging.channels.SecureAMFChannel"> <!--<endpoint url="https://{server.name}:{server.port}/{context.root}/messagebroker/amfsecure" class="flex.messaging.endpoints.SecureAMFEndpoint"/>--> <endpoint url="https://{server.name}:{server.port}/{context.root}/messagebroker/amfsecure" class="flex.messaging.endpoints.AMFEndpoint"/> <properties> <add-no-cache-headers>false</add-no-cache-headers> <connect-timeout-seconds>10</connect-timeout-seconds> </properties> </channel-definition> I'm running with Tomcat 5.5.17 and Java 5. The BlazeDS docs say this is the best practice. Is there a better way? With this config, there seems to be 2-3 retries associated with each channel defined in the default-channels element so it always takes ~20s before the my-amf channel connects via a http request. Is there a way to override the 2-3 retries to say, 1 retry for each channel? Thanks in advance for answers.
