  • SQL server datetime column filter on certain date or range of dates

    - by MicMit
There is an example for today here http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2583228/get-row-where-datetime-column-today-sql-server-noob I am primarily interested in 2008 only. For today it looked like SELECT (list of fields) FROM dbo.YourTable WHERE dateValue BETWEEN CAST(GETDATE() AS DATE) AND DATEADD(DAY, 1, CAST(GETDATE() AS DATE)) What literal value of date(s) or functions ( I need a format ) should I place there to make it work independent of local settings.

  • Why is Matlab Stateflow 7.7 not throwing errors on undefined variables?

    - by Pyrolistical
Previously in Matlab Stateflow 7.1 all variables and functions had to be included before they can be referred to in the state diagram or else it would throw an error when you tried to parse the diagram. But now in 7.7 it doesn't catch those kinds of errors. Its still compiling the diagram because it catches other syntactic errors. Am I missing an option somewhere? Can this be turned on?

  • Is it safe to make GL calls with multiple threads?

    - by user146780
I was wondering if it was safe to make GL calls with multiple threads. Basically I'm using a GLUtesselator and was wondering if I could divide the objects to draw into 4 and assign a thread to each one. I'm just wondering if this would cause trouble since the tesselator uses callback functions. Can 2 threads run the same callback at the same time as long as that callback does not access ant global variables? Are there also other ways I could optimize OpenGL drawing using multithreading? Thanks

  • Portable way to get file size in C/C++

    - by chmike
I need to determin the byte size of a file. The coding language is C++ and the code should work with Linux, windows and any other operating system. This implies using standard C or C++ functions/classes. This trivial need has apparently no trivial solution.

  • hoq do i get ajax to call after previous success is complete

    - by Alessandro
I am currently using this ajax queuing plugin http://www.onemoretake.com/2009/10/11/ajaxqueue-and-jquery-1-3/ and it works fine, except weh ajax call 1 finishes, ajax call 2 starts that is dependent on a value that the success functions generates when ajax 1 is complete. Is there a way to start of all ajax calls when the previous call is complete and success function has been run? thanks

  • Is it possible to restart the phone with Android SDK or NDK?

    - by J Andy
Is it possible to programmatically restart the phone from a application (service) running on top of the Dalvik VM? If the SDK does not provide this functionality, then how about using the NDK and calling some functions provided by the kernel? I know this option is not preferred (not stable enough libs), but if it's the only option, I'll have to consider that as well.

  • LInux C++: how do profile time wasted due to cache misses?

    - by anon
I know that I can use gprof to benchmark my code. However, I have this problem -- I have a smart pointer that has an extra level of indirection (think of it as a proxy object). As a result, I have this extra layer that effects pretty much all functions, and screws with caching. Is there a way to measure the time my CPU wastes due to cache misses? Thanks!

  • Are these Mozilla-specific CSS styles doing anything?

    - by DisgruntledGoat
I'm working with some CSS (from a Joomla template) like this: div#logo { -moz-background-clip: border; -moz-background-inline-policy: continuous; -moz-background-origin: padding; background: transparent url(../images/head.png) no-repeat scroll 0 0; ... } I've looked up some of those -moz- properties and they seem to be assigned their default values, and if I turn them off in Firebug nothing happens visibly. Would there be a reason to add them to a CSS file? Are they for an old version of Firefox perhaps?

  • ListView GridView and Grid

    - by urema
Hi, If you have a ListView with its view set as a GridView, which itself contains columns for each month say.....how do I set a template up for the ItemTemplate of the ListView so that each Item will be three rows high, and be inline with the ListView.View's columns? For example different employee recruits over a year.... each month across the top and each employee on the left side, though sub-columned on the employee are three rows "Name", "Address" and "Job Type" say. I know you have to use the IsSharedSizeScope attached property. January February ... Employee1 Name E1 Address E1 Street Job Type Cleaner Employee2 Name ... Address ... Job Type ... Thanks greatly in advance, U.

  • behavior of memset

    - by Vinicius Horta
    Does this function has the same behavior that 'memset'? (Oops! Your question couldn't be submitted because: Your post does not have much context to explain the code sections; please explain your scenario more clearly. ) inline void SetZeroArray( void *vArray[], unsigned int uArraySize ) { for(unsigned i=0; i<=uArraySize; i++ ) vArray[i] = NULL; } int main( int argc, char *argv[] ) { unsigned int uLevels[500]; SetZeroArray( (void**)uLevels, 500 ); unsigned int ulRLevels[500]; memset( &ulRLevels, 0, sizeof( ulRLevels ) ); system("pause>nul"); return EXIT_SUCCESS; }

  • Is there kind of runtime C++ assembler library around?

    - by Anton
Hi guys! For my small hobby project I need to emit machine code from C++ program in runtime. I have base address 0xDEADBEEF and want to write something like this: Assembler a((void*)0xDEADBEEF); a.Emit() << Push(Reg::Eax) << Push(Reg::Ebx) << Jmp(0xFEFEFEFE); Inline assembler isn't my choice because generated machine code is dependent of the program state. Does anybody know any existing library for doing this? If no, would it be a good idea to develop one from scratch and make it open source? (I mean, will anybody ever use this library if it existed?)

  • Possible to launch command line air app?

    - by gmoniey
Is it possible to create a command line Abode Air app? I know thats not the intended use of the framework, but I have a lot of utility code written in as3, and I have a need to programatically run some utility functions from another app (not flash). I know I can pass command line parameters to the Air app, but I would like to avoid having a window pop up while the calculations are being made. Thanks.
