• Google Map Web Service working on local but not online

  Hi all, I have a problem with a Javascript request to the Google Map Api Web Service : if I have the HTML file on my computer it works, but it doesn't work online. • How to change the app name in OSX menubar in a pure-Python application bundle?

  I am trying to create a pure-Python application bundle for a wxPython app. I created the .app directory with the files described in Apple docs, with an Info.plist file etc. The only difference between a "normal" app and this bundle is that the entry point (CFBundleExecutable) is a script which starts with the following line: #!/usr/bin/env python2.5 Everything works fine except that the application name in the OSX menubar is still "Python" although I have set the CFBundleName in Info.plist (I copied the result of py2app, actually). The full Info.plist can be viewed here: http://tinyurl.com/32qgpjt How can I change this? I have read everywhere that the menubar name is only determined by CFBundleName. How is it possible that the Python interpreter can change this in runtime? Note: I was using py2app before, but the result was too large (50 MB instead of the current 100KB) and it was not even portable between Leopard and Snow Leopard... so it seems to be much easier to create a pure-Python app bundle "by hand" than transforming the output of py2app.

• Basic Hibernate question using and sql query

  Hello Sorry if this is basic but I cannot find the solution anywhere. I have an java Object ‘Person’ with 3 properties firstname,lastname and username. I have an Oracle Store procedure returning a Resultset with the 3 column. All works fine for that. Now I have another StoreProcedure that will only return firstname and lastname but not username. I get the following error : « could not read column value from result set username. » Hibernate tries to fetch the username property from the resultset. If I remove the property username, then it works. Do I have to Create a Special Pojo for Each type of resultset or can I tell Hibernate what to map for each result set? Please help.

  I would like to iterate through an NSArray of ints and compare each one to a specific int. All ints are C type ints. The code I am using is as follows: -(int)ladderCalc: (NSArray*)amounts: (int)amount { int result; for (NSUInteger i=0; i< [amounts count]; i++) { if (amount < [amounts objectAtIndex:i]); { // do something } // do something } } However I get an error when comparing the int amount to the result of [amounts objectAtIndex:i] because you cannot compare id to int. Why is the id involved in this case? Shouldn't objectAtIndex just return the object at the index specified? Is it possible to cast the object returned to an C int and then do the comparison? Or should I just dispense with NSArray and do this type of thing in C?

I have tried initializing a variable in the index method of the books controller but get exactly the same results. Thanks in advance! BTW had to make the links text because of stackoverflow limit.

  i have tested several UML applications for whether they could show composition relationships in the UML diagrams generated form the PHP source code or not, and the result is they can't. i know that this is a typical problem for PHP cause we don't declare a data type when we code, so it's difficult for the UML applications to know if an instance variable is a reference to an object or not. i also tested nWire with the same result. will there never be applications that could show us a complete map over all object relationships more than just inheritance? i think it's a pity that you can't have a good view over all the relationships for an application. cause when i use an open source solution, i always want to know how the objects are related to each other. maybe we could make comments for the instance variable telling the software that this is an reference to an object? but that would mean that the mapping software is using this solution. i feel its a pity nWire/visual paradigm can't give us a complete map:(

  Simple enough question. I need to know the best way to get the same list of contacts that show up when a user presses the Contacts button. By secondary accounts, in Android you can add additional gmail accounts to have the mail/contacts synced. The above intent will not list those additional contacts. I am also told that on the HTC Desire you can add contacts to the phone that do not get synced up to Google. These contacts also do not show up. So how do I get a real list of contacts so I can create my own list activity that works properly where the Google intent does not.

  Hey guys...I have a simple stored proc with two queries joined with a union select name as 'result' from product where... union select productNum as 'result' from product where... I want to limit this to the TOP 10 results... if i put TOP 10 in each seperate query I get 20 results total. What is the most efficient way to limit total results to 10? I dont want to do TOP 5 in each because I may end up in a situation where I have something like 7 "names" and 3 "productsNumbers"

• Jquery autosuggest google maps - Load on selection

  At the moment, the Google map code works like this: When you start typing in the input box it loads a list of suggestions. Then when you click on one of these options from the list, it puts it into the input box. However, THEN you still have to click find to load up the result. I want to have it so when you click on an option from the autosuggest list, it automatically loads the result, without having to click "find" afterwards. This is the code I am working with. Basically, it reads date from the database and writes them to a file as characters, using column names to create opening and closing tags. The problems are that the returning date is a timestamp, meaning I don't get 14.02.2010 but rather 14.02.2010 00:00:000 so I have to format it to the dd.mm.yyyy format. The second problem are the numbers; for some reason, they are in database as varchar2 and can have leading zeroes that need to be stripped; I'm guessing I could do that in my SQL with the trim function so the Util.transformToHTML is unnecessary (for clarification, here's the method): public static String transformToHTML(Integer number) { String result = ""; try { result = number.toString(); } catch (Exception e) {} return result; } What I'd like to know is a) Can I get the date in the format I want and skip additional processing thus shortening the processing time? b) Is there a better way to do this?
