  Hi All, I'm working in Ubuntu with MySql and I also have Query Browser and Administrator installed, I'm not afraid of the command line either if it helps. I want simply to be able to run a query and see a result set but then convert that result set into a series of commands that could be used to create the same rows in a table of an identical schema. I hope the question makes sense, it's quite a simple problem and one that must have been solved but I can't for the life of me work out where this kind of conversion is made available. • Changing the width of dropdown area in flex combobox.

  I have a combobox which gets populated by a remote method. I need to set the dropdownwidth of the combobox to the maximum length of the item in the combobox. I am able to achieve it by the following code. But if the resolution of the screen changes, the result is not similar. • Comparing two xml files

  I have two large xml files. Almost 1.4 mb each. I want to compare them and see the differing part. I am using linux. Is there any free tool which can do this for me ? Or any other technique ? I used "diff" command in linux and tried to output the result in another file. (diff file1.xml file2.xml result.xml) But the resulted file showed "Could not parse the xml". However it showed something on screen. I would like the differ part to be stored somewhere if possible. (or atleast I should be able to see it properly) Thanks Ragini

  Overview: I have a table which stores a persons "availability" for a current day, e.g. Mon - 8:00am - 11:30am Mon - 1:30pm - 6:00pm A second table stores appointments that this person already has for the same day, e.g. Mon - 8:30am - 11:00am Mon - 2:30pm - 4pm Desired result: Doing calculationsI'd like to have the following result - e.g. "this person has availability on the given day": Mon - 8:00am - 8:30am Mon - 11:00am - 11:30am Mon - 1:30pm - 2:30pm Mon - 4:00pm - 6:00pm Any ideas on how to calculate the output given the two inputs (e.g. availability, existing appointments) would be greatly appreciated. Preferably I'd use javascript on the client to do the calculating as I would believe that doing it within the DB (I'm using MSSQL) would be slow for many records, persons, etc. Hope this is enough information to illustrate the problem at hand - Many thanks in advance.

• FFmpeg + iPhone - Interesting (incorrect?) video encoding results

  I'm encoding some video on the iPhone by running the png image data through swscale to get YUV420P data then encoding that frame using the MSMPEG4V1 codec. In the api docs, avcodec_encode_video should return the number of bytes used from the output buffer by that encode operation. There are 234,000 bytes going into the encoder, but the result returned by avcodec_encode_video is simply "4". The result is exactly the same over 24 frames. Something seems fishy here...any insight? Here's a pastebin link to the code: http://pastebin.com/ht94FWva (sorry for the link away from SO, I just didn't want to have the code duplicated in several places) EDIT: Also, I've set up a custom log callback for ffmpeg to use and I have the log level set to "Verbose" (libavutil/log.h), so libavcodec should be logging any goofs to the console, but avcodec is quiet throught he whole operation. (note: I did test to make sure my log callback was working)

  I have a function that gives me the following warning: [DCC Warning] filename.pas(6939): W1035 Return value of function 'function' might be undefined The function, however, is clean, small, and does have a known, expected, return value. The first statement in the function is: Result := ''; and there is no local variable or parameter called Result either. Is there any kind of pragma-like directive I can surround this method with to remove this warning? This is Delphi 2007. Unfortunately, the help system on this Delphi installation is shot, so I can't pop up the help for that warning right now. Anyone know off the top of their head what I can do?

  I made an autogenerated movie clip using JES (Jython Environment for Students). I can play it without any problem using playMovie(), but I can't figure out how to have it saved physically on disk.   Hi, I am using valgrind callgrind to profile a program on gtk. And then I use kcachedgrind to read the result. I have captured an update a screenshot of kcachedgrind here: http://i41.tinypic.com/168spk0.jpg. It said the function gtk_moz_embed_new() costed '15.61%'. But I dont understand how is that possible. the function gtk_moz_embed_new() literally has 1 line: and it is just calling a g_object_new().   Hi I'm stuck on a problem and if possible I will need help from the community. I'm not looking for a ready-made solution, but something which would help me to produce the result. I'm looking for a way to produce a dynamic activity based on a JSON object. I could have 2 text views, 3 select menus, 1 text view and so on. The goal is to iterate over this JSONObject and create the appropriate elements within my android code. To produce the result I've thought of a simple switch which would render one by one my different JSONObject to an android widget. • Division inaccurate in Javascript?

  If I perform the following operation in Javascript: 0.06120*400 The result is 24.48. However, if I do this: 24.48/400 The result is: 0.061200000000000004 JSFiddle: http://jsfiddle.net/zcDH7/ So it appears that Javascript rounds things differently when doing division and multiplication? Using my calculator, the operation 24.48/400 results in the correct answer of 0.0612. How should I deal with Javascript's inaccurate division? I can't simply round the number off, because I will be dealing with numbers of varying precision. Thanks for your advice.

• iphone float vs integer rounding?

  Okay, from what I understand, an integer that is a fraction will be rounded one way or the other so that if a formula comes up with say 5/6 - it will automatically round it to 1. I have a calculation: xyz = ((1300 - [abc intValue])/6) + 100; xyz is defined as an NSInteger, abc is an NSString that is chosen via a UIPicker. I want the calculation (1300 - [abc intValue]) to add 1 to 100 for each 6 units below 1300. For example, 1255 should result in xyz having a value of 100 and 1254 should result in a value of 101. Now, I understand that my formula above is wrong because of the rounding principles, but I am getting some CRAZY results from the program itself. When I punched in 1259 - I got 106. When I punched in 1255 - I got 107. Why would it behave that way?

  If there is a view controller that wants to execute a number of block based tasks one at a time, how can the control be given back to the view controller after a completion block has executed. Lets say ViewControllerOne wants to execute a number of tasks, each relying on the result of the previous one, how would this control be given back to the viewcontroller after each completion block has been executed? I started thinking about this and I was heading towards a deeply nested block pattern that will surely only cause confusion to whoever else reads or tests it. A task executes and the completion block returns the result or error which is needed by the next task, which has its own completion task, that the next task relies on and so forth. How can the control be managed in one place, the viewcontroller? Would the completion block just call the next function that handles the next task, using a pointer to the view controller?

I'm writing a query to give an average transaction time. Is this a bug in Oracle jdbc? or correct behavior? The parameter is Timestamp, and I expected that no time conversions will be done on the way. The database column type is DATE, but I also checked it with TIMESTAMP column type with the same results. Is there a way to achieve correct result? I cannot change default timezone in the the whole application to UTC. Thanks for your help
