  I'm currently trying to authenticate via Active Directory Services using the PrincipalContext class. I would like to have my application authenticate to the Domain using Sealed and SSL contexts. All queries are performed under this root, and all inserts are performed into this container. For Domain and ApplicationDirectory context types, this parameter is the distinguished name (DN) of a container object. What is the DN of a container object? How do I find out what my container object is? Can I query the Active Directory (or LDAP) server for this?

• Silverlight Ftp Upload

  Hi I'm working on trying to ftp a file to the server through a silverlight application. Where the location to upload the file on server file system, exists outside the sandbox area for the web server. In this case the web server root exists at "C:\test\www\" and the location to upload the file will exist at "C:\User\Uploads". In this scenerio i'm not sure if Http POST will work (doesn't that use the web server root). I just need to upload the file selected by the user to a different location that may exist outside the sandbox. With silverlight i'm thinking sockets are my last option based on the limited port range for silverlight being 4502-4532. Can i do this using WebClient and Http POST? Can i make an ftp connection through silverlight or javascript?

  I am new to sharepoint and after creating a new web application this is what i'm getting - The website declined to show this webpage HTTP 403 Most likely causes: •This website requires you to log in. This error (HTTP 403 Forbidden) means that Internet Explorer was able to connect to the website, but it does not have permission to view the webpage. I have Anonymous Authorization enabled in IIS and in sharepoint central admin. Does anyone know how to make this work?

  I've been trying to find the right configuration for supporting both http/s requests in a Flex app. I've read all the docs and they allude to doing something like the following: <default-channels> <channel ref="my-secure-amf"> <serialization> <log-property-errors>true</log-property-errors> </serialization> </channel> <channel ref="my-amf"> <serialization> <log-property-errors>true</log-property-errors> </serialization> </channel> This works great when hitting the app via https but get intermittent communication failures when hitting the same app via http.   Hi I am trying to get RecursiveDirectoryIterator class using a extension on the FilterIterator to work but for some reason it is iterating on the root directory only. my code is this. class fileTypeFilter extends FilterIterator { public function __construct($path) { parent::__construct(new RecursiveDirectoryIterator($path)); } public function accept() { $file = $this->getInnerIterator()->current(); return preg_match('/\.php/i', $file->getFilename()); } } $it = new RecursiveDirectoryIterator('./'); $it = new fileTypeFilter($it); foreach ($it as $file) { echo $file; } my directory structure is something like this. -Dir1 --file1.php --file2.php -Dir2 --file1.php etc etc But as I said before the class is not recursively iterating over the entire directory structure and is only looking at the root.   Hello! I have inherited this project with a WiX installer, and am required to make this version usefully upgrade the previous one! My problem comes in replacing the database files with new versions. No, the problem is not that they are locked, I can replace them manually, and in fact now ONE of them is replaced, while the other is not. Please, please tell me what I'm doing wrong here. I've tried several other solutions (including registry keys as KeyPath instead of CompanionFile) but nothing is quite working. Lets assume party A does a cert request and gets his client certificate from the CA. How can some party B validate A's certificate? What kind of certificate does A need? A root certificate? A 'normal' client certificate? And how does the validation work on programming level, if we assume that A has successfully send his certificate in DER or PEM format to B? It gets messy to have object and listing files at the root, I'd like to put them in a subfolder. Building and outputing the obj files to a subfolder works, I'm doing it with suffixes and inference: .s.obj: $(ASSEMBLY) $(FLAGS) $*.s -o Objects\$*.obj The problem is to pass the Objects folder to the link command. I tried: prod_link = $(LINK) $(LINK_FLAGS) -o$(PROD_OUT) Objects\$(PROD_OBJS) but only the first file in the list of object files gets the folder's name. How can I pass the Objects subfolder to all files of my list $(PROD_OBJS)? • reset file permissions?

  In my /var/www folder i have permission 2750 with the owner being root (unless i change it by hand) and the group being www-data. I mv a folder into /var/www and i'd like to reset the permissions so everything is 2750 and for the group to be www-data, is it possible to do it in one command? or do i need to do multiple cmds? (its two commands, 3 if i want the same owner but it be nice to do it with one for this folder)

  Hello, I'm trying, for the first time, to create a GUI in Ruby using Tk. I've copied a code snippet from one of the numerous web tutorials and try to change the font for one of the labels, but nothing seems to affect how the text is presented. I've tried to change the size, the weight, give different family names, leave just one parameter; nothing works - the font stays default as it was. Surprisingly it doesn't report any errors, everything looks fine. Maybe it's versions problem? I run these: Linux Centos 5 Tk 8.4.13 Ruby 1.8.5 ruby-tcltk 1.8.5 Also, don't know if it is important, I ran it via Xming from WinXP machine.

  Hi All, I'm new to perl. • Why doesn't pppd over ssh work here? Why can't I kill pppd?

  I'm trying to setup a simple ppp tunnel over ssh. It works on several machines just fine. But on one machine, pppd gets "stuck": > pgrep pppd | xargs ps up USER PID %CPU %MEM VSZ RSS TTY STAT START TIME COMMAND root 4178 0.0 0.1 3020 1088 pts/1 Ds+ 05:28 0:00 /usr/sbin/pppd Any attempt to kill it (even sudo kill -9 4178) has no effect that I can see. strace -p 4178 also hangs similarly. After it has been started for a while, I start getting messages in dmesg like shown below. It is started like so from another machine: ssh -t root@server /usr/sbin/pppd passive noauth When I do this to one of the machines that work, the remote end's pppd spits out garbage/binary data to the console (as expected). When I do it to the one that fails, I get no output from pppd, but the ssh session eventually times out. If I instead ssh to the machine, and then run /usr/sbin/pppd passive noauth in a separate step I also get the expected binary output. I now have a couple of questions: What could be up with the one machine where pppd fails? I don't even know where to start looking... What could be the difference between ssh -t root@server /usr/sbin/pppd passive noauth in a single step and ssh root@server and /usr/sbin/pppd passive noauth in two steps? How can it be that I can't kill the process even with sudo kill -9? The only way I know is to reboot. (I've tried searching for something similar but didn't get anywhere so I'm sorry I don't have any more leads) Any ideas?
