• Unable to Retrieve Simplified Chinese Characters From Form

  I have a page that displays content retrieved from XML with no problems: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <Root> <Fields> <NamePrompt>??</NamePrompt> </Fields> </Root> Page encoding is set to GB18030 and it displays perfectly. However, when I retrieve inputted text from HttpContext.Current.Request.Form that's been entered with double-byte characters, the retrieved string contains unreadable characters. Single-byte characters are fine, obviously. I've tried the following to no avail: byte[] valueBytes = Encoding.UTF8.GetBytes(HttpContext.Current.Request.Form["fullName"]); string value = Encoding.UTF8.GetString(valueBytes); I don't see this problem with other double-byte languages like Japanese or Korean. How can I successfully retrieve double-byte characters from a page that's GB18030 encoded?

• Cocoa NSOutlineView bug - [NSCFTimer copyWithZone:]: unrecognized selector sent to instance

  I'm using an NSOutlineView with the function - (BOOL)outlineView:(NSOutlineView *)outlineView isGroupItem:(id)item defined so it gives the group row GUI look. When I add a root item, it works fine. When I add an item to root's child array and expand it, it works fine. If I contract the item though, the following error is logged: [NSCFTimer copyWithZone:]: unrecognized selector sent to instance I also get an EXC_BAD_ACCESS error if the app window is deactivated by switching to another app. I used the debugger to try to find where I might have made an error in one of my functions, but the stack trace only shows functions I did not create (RunCurrentEventLoopInMode, CFRunLoopRunSpecific, handleWindowNeedsDisplay, etc.) Does anyone have any idea where my error(s) might be?

  Does anyone know what the magic URL is for rebooting a WebSTAR DPC2100R2 with curl? I used to have a SurfBoard, and the curl command: curl http://192.168.100.1/reset.htm?reset_modem=Restart%20Cable%20Modem Would reset the modem. Sure, I can go power cycle it manually, but it's in the basement and I'm lazy :-). I did find out the URL to elevate the access permission, but nothing about rebooting/resetting yet.

• nginx error log was huge, so I deleted and created a new one, now nginx won't start

  I deleted the /var/log/nginx/error.log file, and then created a new one using: sudo nano error.log Doinga ls -la shows that the error.log and access.log have the same permissions. When I try and start nginx I get the error: alert: could not open error log file: open() "/var/log/nginx/error.log" failed permission denited.

  Hi, I need to download and parse webpage with lxml and build UTF-8 xml output. I thing schema in pseudocode is more illustrative: from lxml import etree webfile = urllib2.urlopen(url) root = etree.parse(webfile.read(), parser=etree.HTMLParser(recover=True)) txt = my_process_text(etree.tostring(root.xpath('/html/body'), encoding=utf8)) output = etree.Element("out") output.text = txt outputfile.write(etree.tostring(output, encoding=utf8)) So webfile can be in any encoding (lxml should handle this). Outputfile have to be in utf-8. I'm not sure where to use encoding/coding. Is this schema ok? (I cant find good tutorial about lxml and encoding, but I can find many problems with this...) Is it instantiating the child objects directly inside the Repository and just assign it to the Aggregate Root through its setters or the Aggregate Root is responsible of constructing its child entities/objects? I know my code isn't right but when I run it, it creates 2 windows instead, one with just the title tk and another bigger window with "Simple Prog". How do I make it so that the tk window has the title "Simple Prog" instead of having a new additional window.   Hi I am using a navigation Controller on an iPhone app. I am able to pass data forward when I push a controller into the navigation stack but how do I pass data back when I pop the controller. What I am basically trying to achieve is the root navigation controller view displays a number of fields that can be edited. A user then clicks on one of the fields to be edited and a EditViewController is pushed onto the stack with the name of the field the user wants to edit. Now the users enters the new value of the field and presses save to pop the view controller. So how do I get the value from the editViewController back to the root navigation controller view?

  I've installed a CMS on a shared host running Apache, now when I was deleting the root directory with FTP, some folders left with a "Permission denied" error and I can't change their attributes. the best explanation I've got is that the CMS installer has placed the files and has assigned its ownership to the Apache server instead of my user name. (i don't know it can be done) Ijust haven't use the uninstaller because I've lost my admin password - -" so how to delete those folders ?

When we send from this address, we would like to have the message show up in this mailbox's sent items folder. The current behavior is that the message goes to our primary account's sent items.   My instance was running fine and this morning I was able to access a Ruby on Rails app hosted on it. An hour later I suddenly wasn't able to access my site, my SSH connection attempts were refused and the server wasn't even responding to ping. • Import SQL dump into MySQL

  I'm confused how to import a SQL dump file. I can't seem to import the database without creating the database first in MySQL. This is the error displayed when database_name has not yet been created: username = username of someone with access to the database on the original server. database_name = name of database from the original server $ mysql -u username -p -h localhost database_name < dumpfile.sql Enter password: ERROR 1049 (42000): Unknown database 'database_name' If I log into MySQL as root and create the database, database_name mysql -u root create database database_name; create user username;# same username as the user from the database I got the dump from. grant all privileges on database_name.* to username@"localhost" identified by 'password'; exit mysql then attempt to import the sql dump again: $ mysql -u username -p database_name < dumpfile.sql Enter password: ERROR 1007 (HY000) at line 21: Can't create database 'database_name'; database exists How am I supposed to import the SQL dumpfile?

• How to make teamcity's svn checkout more verbose?

  We have a very large svn external containing about 30,000 500k files. This checkout can take a long time and we would like to see the progress in the TeamCity logs as it happens. Is there a way to use a more verbose logging when doing the svn checkout than just.... [19:26:00]: Updating sources: Agent side checkout... • Can't create flex4 project in flexbuilder using remoting or LiveCycle Data Servcies ES

  I'm trying out the FlasBuilder ide with ColdFusion 8 on OS X. When I try to create a new project, I get stuck at the server setup screen that forces you to validate your paths for your ColdFusion root folder and your webroot. Every combination I try says either "LiveCycle Data Services is not installed at the specified location" or "Invalid root. The WEB-INF/flex folder must contain either flex-config.xml or services-config.xml." The flex-config.xml file is sitting in that directory. Is there some trick to getting this to work?

• How to restore PostgreSQL database from .tar file?

  I have all PostgreSQL databases backed up during incremental backups using WHM, which creates a $dbName.tar file. Data is stored in these .tar files, but I do not know how to restore it back into the individual databases via SSH. In particular the file location. I have been using: pg_restore -d client03 /backup/cpbackup/daily/client03/psql/client03.tar which generates the error 'could not open input file: Permission denied' Any assistance appreciated.
