• How to stop a preloader stalling a flash movie in IE

  This is only a problem in IE. the following actionscript is for a simple preloader for a movie i'm working on. It works fine in Firefox but the movie stops on the first frame when opened with Internet Explorer.   I have created a script that requires my microphone. It uses the HTML5 speech recognition API. Chrome asks permission every time I want to perform a speech recognition test. • How to get new logs in an EventLogEntyCollection?

  I need to monitor security event logs on very busy domain controllers, which generates hundreds of them each minute. I know how to use EventLog, EventLogEntry and EvenLogEntryCollection to open and read a server's event log, but an EvenLogEntryCollection can contain ~300.000 events, and it wraps around continuously (and very fast), so I can't rely on its index to find new entries. So far, the only thing I was able to come up with is saving the timestamp of the last processed log entry and then iterate above the EventLogEntryCollection until I find an EventLogEntry which TimeGenerated properties is greater than the timestamp I saved; but it's terribly slow to iterate on ~300.000 entries to find the new ones. How can I quickly find the new entries in an big event log?

  I've been working on this one error for a few hours so I thought I'd pick the brains of some pros. I am getting a null pointer exception at the modelData.add(i, es) method. I know from debugging that es isn't null.   I'm new to learning Windows Programming with C#. My current assignment is to create a very simple bank account program: The user enters the accountholder name, account number and beginning balance, then presses a "Continue" button to work with that account by making deposits and withdrawals. I wrote a separate "BankAccount" class with the required data members and methods. I've put the code for the creation of the BankAccount object in the Continue button click event BankAccount currentAccount = new BankAccount(acctName, acctNum, beginningBalance); But that seems to make it local to that method only, and currentAccount is not recognized when I'm programming the click event for the "Record Transactions" (deposits and withdrawals) button. How and where should the creation of the BankAccount object be coded in order for it to be created when the "Continue" button is clicked and also recognized in the "Record Transactions" button click event? Please let me know if any clarification is needed, or if you need to see part or all of my code.

  I have a collection of span elements. In the code I have a global variable that represents the "selected" object. Using the click event when a span is clicked I reset the object's class, reset the global variable, then set the object to the variable and change its class (to make it "highlighted"). • C# Why is a treeview node clicked when canceled is set to true?

  In my winform application I have a treeview. To give the idea that a node is disabled I set the node's forecolor and I when the BeforeSelect fires I set e.cancel to true. However when a node's tag meets some criteria a node may be selected. So that's why I have a NodeMouseClick. But when a node may not be clicked I set the e.cancel to true in the BeforeSelect event. The problem now is, the NodeMousClick event is always fired and all the code is ececuted, even when I set e.cancel to true in the BeforeSelect event. Why is that?

  I'd like to run an Android background service that will act as a keylistener from the home screen or when the phone is asleep. Is this possible? When the mouse hits a child element in the div, the mouseout event fires, but I do not want it to fire until the mouse is out of the parent, absolute div. How can I prevent the mouseout event from firing when it hits a child element WITHOUT jquery. I know this has something to do with event bubbling, but I am having no luck on finding out how to work this out.   I want to add an event handler to some dynamically added elements. I simplified my problem into the basic code below. I am using the new JQuery 1.7 on feature to say "hey for all labels in the CancelSurvey id element call this notify function when they are clicked." function notify(event) { console.log(event.data.name); } $('#CancelSurvey').on('click', 'label', { name: $(this).attr("id") }, notify); I want to pass the id of the label as parameter "name". When I try to alert this it is undefined (they are defined in the html created). I believe that using the $(this) is not referencing the label selector in this case. It actually seems to be referencing the document itself. Any ideas on how to accomplish this?

The user can configure the url of this iframe, but if the url could not be loaded (it does not exists or the user does not have access to internet) then the iframe should failover to a default offline page. The question is, how can I detect if the iframe could be loaded or not? I tried subscribing to the 'load' event, and, if this event is not fired after some time then I failover, but this only works in Firefox, since IE and Chrome fires the 'load' event when the "Page Not Found" is displayed.

  I need to add multiple records based on data from another table where the event is the same. I've found on this forum insert into table2(id,name) select "001",first_name from table1 where table1.id="001" as possible solution for my question. So I thought this should be the following syntax: insert into reservations(event,seat) select "99",id from seats where seats.id>0 to add all seats to event 99. However when I run this query mysql gives the message 'MySQL returned an empty resultset (0 rows). (query 0.0028 sec)' and no records were added. I translated the message so could be sligthly different. When I only use the "select "99",id from seats where seats.id0" query, it returns me 1080 rows.

      In this topic, I’ll discuss the Client events we usually need while using ModalPopupExtender. The add_shown fires when the ModalPopupExtender had shown and add_hiding fires when the user cancels it by CancelControlID,note that it fires before hiding the modal. They are useful in many cases, for example may you need to set focus to specific Textbox when the user display the modal, or if you need to reset the controls values inside the Modal after it has been hidden.
