    I am writing a code for upload large files into the blobs using blocks... When I tested it, it gave me an StorageClientException It stated: One of the request inputs is out of range.   • When is Visual Studio 2010 expected to RTM?

    Microsoft originally slated the final release build for April 12, 2010. Somasegar said the Visual Studio 2010 and .NET Framework 4 releases will now be pushed back "a few weeks." I know the version / product name says "2010", but that doesn't necessarily mean that it will RTM in 2010. After all VS'2008 RTM'd in November 2007. The last Beta of VS'2008 came out in July 2007, and it RTM'd in November. So based on the previous version that places VS'2010 to RTM in September 2010 at the very earliest since the first Beta just came out in May. Anyone have any other speculations?

  • Outlook 2003 View Control with C#

    I want to embed a custom c# windows form (or WPF) user control into an outlook view. I am using Outlook 2003 and Visual Studio 2008. I did download an example for Outlook 2007 here: http://blogs.msdn.com/e2eblog/archive/2008/01/09/outlook-folder-homepage-hosting-wpf-activex-and-windows-forms-controls.aspx and also here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa479345.aspx I tested it and under 2007 it is working, but for 2003 i am getting the following error when i want to open the view: Could not complete the operation due to error 80131509 I can start it from Visual Studio, it is registering the folder just fine, debugging works and all that. It creates an HTML page that contains my type as an object parameter - but the Initialize method that should be called is either not present (not shown via JS) or it has some errors. The breakpoints for RegisterSafeForScripting are also never hit - maybe related to that. Thx in advance!

    I'm having a very weird error using the WebClient class in .NET 4. The app simply downloads some files off the internet and provides output on a textbox (the GUI is WPF). The method that does this is the following: void DownloadFiles(object files) { fileL = (List<string>) files; foreach (string url in fileL) { byte[] data; using (System.Net.WebClient k = new WebClient()) { data = k.DownloadData(url); } //Bunch of irrelevant code goes here... } } (I added the using while trying to divine [yes I'm that desperate/ignorant] a solution, the problem happens even if the webclient is declared and initialized outside the foreach loop) Now the problem appears only when I'm executing this method on a thread separate from the WPF UI main thread. If it is executed on the UI thread then it works perfectly. When a new thread is created with: Thread t = new Thread(DownloadFiles); t.Start(files); The first time the code goes into the loop it will work, but when its the second pass inside the loop, I will always receive a TargetParameterCountException. The last column on the right is a total column, which contains a summary field (via a count of the identity field) that adds up the total number of sales per office.     Any help is appreciated: I'm developing a C#.Net app in VS2010 that interacts with Excel. The app works correctly on my local machine. Uploading to a remote Windows 2003 server however, breaks the app. Originally, I received the following message Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {00024500-0000-0000-C000-000000000046} failed due to the following error: 80070005 After Googling the problem (which suggested a permissions problem) i tried this: Installing Excel 2007 Going into Component Services on the remote server and following the instructions here: http://blog.crowe.co.nz/archive/2006/03/02/589.aspx Now I get this message on the same operation: Exception from HRESULT: 0x800A03EC Google searches seem to be suggesting that this is a version match error. However, both the local machine and the remote server use Excel 2007. Any suggestions would be very welcome. Thanks in advance. -Daniel

  • Excel and Tab Delimited Files Question

    I am encountering what I believe to be a strange issue with Excel (in this case, Excel 2007, but maybe also Excel 2003, but don't have access to it as I write this). I can reliably convert some server data over into a tab-delimited format (been doing this for years) and then open it using Excel - no issue. However, what seems to be happening is if I have an html <table inside one of the fields, it looks like Excel 2007 thinks it should be converting the table into rows and columns inside Excel (not what I want). As you might imagine, this throws off the entire spreadsheet. So question is, is there any way to set up excel to NOT do this (perhaps some setting in Excel that pertains to reading tab delimited files), or am I missing something? Thanks.

    Hi I have developed a Flash Video player in Flash CS3 with Action Script 2.0 to play video from Adobe Flash Media Server 3.5. To play video from FMS 3.5, first I have to verify my swf file on FMS 3.5 server console so that it can be ensure that RTMP video URL only be play in verified SWF file. Right now I am facing problem of "NetConnection.Connect.Close" when I try to connect my NetConnection Object to FMS 3.5 to stream video from that server. So now I am getting this message "NetConnection.Connect.Close" from FMS 3.5. When this is happening in my office area at the same time when I am checking the the same video url from out side the office (With help of my friends who is in another office) area it is working fine. My friends naver faced even a single issue with NetConnection.Connect.Close. But in my office when I got message NetConnection.Connect.Close, I can play another streaming video very well like mtv.com jaman.com rajshri.com etc. Some time FMS works fine and video starts playing but in the middle of the video same thing happen "NetConnection.Connect.Close" There is no issue of Bandwidth in my office. I do't know why this is happening. Please see the message when I am getting "NetConnection.Connect.Close" message.     Let's say I am using SharpDevelop/VS to develop an app that uses PowerPoint. Do I need to recompile the app so there is a build for each version of MS Office? I have MS Office 2007, but I would also like the app to work with Office 2003 and later, without having to recompile the app for each version. Do I just need to install the appropriate Office Interop redistributable package/msi on the client machine, and ship my app as is? Thanks in advance for your help.

    I'm successfully setting a date-picker with an initial date from a plist, but I see some unwanted blue values in the month, day, and year components, presumably corresponding to current date. So if today is April 18, 2010 and initial date being set is March 19, 2008, it looks like this (bold represents the blue): January 17 2006 February 18 2007 ------------------------------ March 19 2008 ------------------------------ April 20 2009 May 21 2010 First question is: How do I get rid of the blue? And second question: Ideally, how do I get it to look like this? January 17 2006 February 18 2007 ------------------------------ March 19 2008 ------------------------------ April 20 2009 May 21 2010 Third question, totally unrelated and not as important: How could I have gotten the above to show in blue rather than bold?   • IntellIJ editor doesn't appear

    I updated my IntellIJ install to the latest version (11.1.4) and now the Editor window doesn't appear. Double-clicking on the file, jump-to-source, nothing happens. No error message, it just doesn't appear. If I double-click on an xml layout file the preview window works, but no Editor window. Have installed and reinstalled; went back to an earlier version and it doesn't work there either. I'm at a loss. Any ideas? Update: Editor works if I create a new project.     I've been trying to find a solution for ages with no success. On our app, customers submit a form and on the next page we process it. Sometimes though the data never arrives. This seems to happen for just a few of our customers. Seems to happen with IE7 and using a proxy.   • What software do you use for letter templating and printing?

    In our LOB application there is a very important use case of printing letters, which are then printed and posted out from a mail house (thousands per day). The current situation is that the letter templates are created in Word 97 and fields are mail merged from values in database using a VB.Net application that basically uses word automation. But depending on Word 97 is not a good idea today. We only have a couple of PCs that have Word 97 installed as rest of the company has moved to Office 2007. What software or technology (compatible with .Net) is available today that best suits this scenario. Is it better to do the same thing but move to Word 2007 or PDF or something else. Price may not be a factor. The important thing is that the letter templates must be designed by business users and data to fill placeholders come from DB. A bonus would be to import the hundreds of existing Word 97 letter templates without rewriting them from scratch.

  • In Word, Programmatically Open New Document Dialog

    I am looking for a way to programatically open the "New Document" dialog in Word 2007. It is the same one you get when you select File-New . You can also open it using the FileNew macro or the "New..." menu command. However, I have been unable to find a way to do this programmatically. I have tried: Application.Run MacroName:="FileNew" and Dialogs(wdDialogFileNew).Show and CommandBars.FindControl(ID:=5746).Execute but both of these open the old dialog, not the new one that word 2007 uses.
