How do I "convert" the string into a referrence to Klass2 (or whatever the user might input), or how could I else would I achieve this behavior?

I am currently doing assignment 3, and am having trouble getting a bit of information from the View sent to the View Controller. I believe I have set up the whole delegation thing correctly, so the question really is to how to get my View Controller to see a bit of information (such as self.bounds.size.width), which is a property that only the View has. Would this involve using self.dataSource? And if so, through what means could I pass this bit of information? Thanks!!

For a given time period, many threads are created and started on the fly that share the same code which is explicitly stated within the run method of the thread. • An NSMutableArray that doesn't retain?

  A few UIViewControllers in my app that need to register with a "provider" class in their viewDidLoad methods. I've just been adding them to an NSMutableArray contained in the provider class. However, I don't want this NSMutableArray to keep them from being dealloc'ed, and I also want to have them remove themselves from the NSMutableArray in their dealloc methods. I tried just issuing a [self release] after adding them to the array, and this works, but in order to avoid a crash when they get dealloc'ed, I have to issue a [self retain] right before I remove them. It seems like I'm doing something horribly wrong by retaining an object in it's own dealloc method. Is there a better way to store these values?

After that upgrade, LDAP+TLS fails on our MacOS X 10.5, 10.6, CentOS, Debian, and FreeBSD clients (Apache2 and PAM). Apple Server Admin adds ProgramArguments ("-h ldaps:///") to /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/org.openldap.slapd.plist and TLSCertificateFile, TLSCertificateKeyFile, TLSCACertificateFile, and TLSCertificatePassphraseTool to /etc/openldap/slapd_macosxserver.conf when enabling SSL in the LDAP section of the Open Directory service. While that appears enough for LDAPS, it appears that this is not enough for TLS. Comparing our 10.6 and 10.5 slapd.conf and slapd_macosxserver.conf configuration files yields no clues. Replacing our certificate (generated with a self-signed ca) with an Apple Server Admin generated self signed certificate results in no change in ldapsearch results.
