  • Postfix / Dovecot and Email Retrieval

    I have setup Postfix and Dovecot on an Ubuntu box following the instructions http://www.exratione.com/2012/05/a-mailserver-on-ubuntu-1204-postfix-dovecot-mysql/ I can see that email is being delivered to and accepted by the server, but the email is not available for retrieval via POP3. What could be missing in my configuraton? It seems that email is not being properly handed off to Dovecot.     I am looking to setup SQL 2008 R2 clustering on Windows Server 2008 R2. Can someone give me some options available for installing SQL Server clustering or best practices? I thought SQL had clustering built in, but after doing research, it looks like you first have to install Windows clustering and then install SQL on top of that.

  • Why is there a separate "unicorn_rails" for Rails apps?

    According to the Unicorn docs, there are different binaries for Rails apps and other Rack apps: non-Rails Rack applications In APP_ROOT, run: unicorn for Rails applications (should work for all 1.2 or later versions) In RAILS_ROOT, run: unicorn_rails They seem to also take the same command-line parameters. But Rails is built on top of rack, so I don't understand why this dichotomy is required. Is there any reason you can't just use unicorn for Rails apps?

  • Windows Server 2008 R2 DFS Root Namespace Required?

    I would prefer to set up our DFS such as: \domain.local\users \domain.local\customers \domain.local\support etc. Is this a problem? Do I need to instead set all of the above folders as targets under a root such as: \domain.local\files\users \domain.local\files\customers \domain.local\files\support Other than the path being shorter in the top example, which is what I would prefer, is there a difference in functionality in Windows DFS between the two examples shown?   • Windows XP: Make Google Chrome's minimize, restore and close buttons match other programs?

    I like the way Google Chrome puts the tabs above the address bar, but I don't like the way the minimize, restore, close buttons are a different shape to every other program's. It means that if I sit the mouse in the top corner and minimize everything, I find that I've restored Chrome, not minimized it. Is there any way to get these buttons to a normal shape and size? That's Firefox in front, looking normal, like every other program, and Chrome above and behind, with the buttons at an off-standard position and size.

  • Whenever I hold alt/option and move my mouse, Mac OS X resizes my window... how do I stop that?

    I've been using Mac OS X for maybe 6 years now, and I have no idea what's causing this. Maybe someone else has this experience and can help me out. Symptom: while holding the alt/option key, if I move my mouse the current window starts resizing, anchored at the top left (it behaves exactly as if I had clicked-and-dragged the lower-right icon on the window). Anyone have an idea of what I may have installed that caused this? Or how to make it stop?

  • Do certain usb ports work better on my IBM T60?

    Hi. I am using a Microsoft wireless phone ear piece and I have had the receiver plugged into the USB port on the Left Hand side. I have been getting intermittent success with the signal. I have recently tried plugging it in to one of the ports on the top Right Hand side, and it seems that I am getting a better signal. Is there a difference between the ports? Thanks.

    I have two primary audio outputs on my machine: The speakers and a USB headset. Currently, in Windows 7 Professional x64, I type "sound" in the Start search menu to open up this dialog: I only care about the top two options for the purposes of this question. I would like to know if there's a way in AutoHotKey to switch from "Speakers (4- Sennheiser USB Headset)" to "Speakers (VIA High Definition Audio)" so I can avoid having to open this dialog every time I wish to switch.     Hi Guys, What tools are available to debug a memcache server with a high miss rate (62%)? Ideally I would like to know the keys for the top cache misses, but I would just settle for seeing the keys of live get requests and working it out from there. I have tried a few web based things (phpMemcache) but it doesn't have the information I need. I also tried statsproxy-1.0 which appeared to do what I need but would not play ball. Many thanks

I use Postfix with Dovecot, and when I send an email from my gmail to my server, it is received at the server, but not at my email client using POP3.
